Natasha Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Viv Newton - will she be missed??? Not by me. She was exciting as watching paint dry.
beau_t Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 ^Snap. How long til the Stewart house gets its makeover? That fireplace seems to get a new dent in it every episode.
alexx Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 I could be totally wrong but I always thought that fire place changes in 1992. Haven't seen any of this weeks episodes yet, looking forward to catching up today.
Ryan Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 I think Viv was always in some ways going to be an experiment in some ways being the first youngster they introduced into one of the families and so some mistakes were made. I'd say between now and 1996 though, the vast majority of kids they introduce in are successes. The one that sticks out is Sarah and she is very similiar in that she's a good kid and eventually it leads to boring. Look at the Gilmore Girls. Rory essentially starts out as a sweet child in the first few series, but as the series goes on she steals a yacht, breaks up a marriage etc. Essentially, nice people make boring TV. You need to create situations leading to conflict.

Dibble Investments Inc Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Does anybody think that Sally was a real brat as a kid??? The way she treats Mullet Jensen is pretty harsh!!! Yeah I agree I'm surprised Mullet still wants to be her friend I'm glad she grew up to be a wonderful adult...wonder how Mullet turned out in adulthood If Sally had not left the show, they should have brought Mullet back. Mullet's probably catching fish somewhere around Summer Bay
beau_t Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 I wonder if he's started wearing shoes yet.

Yeah I agree I'm surprised Mullet still wants to be her friend I'm glad she grew up to be a wonderful adult...wonder how Mullet turned out in adulthood Theres that saying treat them mean keep them keen. Mullet obviously really likes Sally why else would he let her get away with treating him like that? I'm really liking Tammy. As for Sally and Tammy's sleepover Tammy was the guest so Sally should of done what Tammy wanted to do. At least Tammy was being nice to Mullet. Actually, with the abuse that she (and Viv) received from their father, I'm surprised that Tammy readily trusts anyone at the moment, especially another male such as Mullet....but I guess being another kid, he poses no threat to her maybe???

I'd much rather have seen Sandra Barlow again than Viv.
