Natasha Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 I really can't believe how selfish Carly's being about the wedding. Ben's family will understand and won't mind and everyone else thinks its a good idea. Even Ben is for postponing. At least he's sensible.
GameTime Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 I'm glad Stevo is telling everyone what he thinks and feels about loosing Tom - I think this is how I'd react if everyone I was living with were just ignoring it and continuing on so soon after a fathers death. I know life goes on, but it can take a while for grief and sadness to subside after a death - some people cope better than others but I don't think its fair to just tell someone who is obviously still upset that 'life goes on' and in a sense 'get over it'. Agreed. Steven's reaction and response to Tom's death has been the, well, best isn't the right word, but most heartfelt. I was a bit surprised everyone else didn't come across as being more upset. I know they were shocked, but with Steven you genuinely felt his pain, anger and misery. I know with Steven compared to the others it was mainly because of all his experience with death, but to me he reacted how I would have and it was nice to see someone show how much Tom meant to them, and that for even just a little while, life didn’t go on.

Good on Ben for postponing the wedding! and Good on Pippa for agreeing to it Carly is being such a brat! loved Sally and Steven's scene on the way to school Paul seems like the class clown

I can't believe Steven told Sophie she didnt understand the situation just because she hasnt been that long. Hello she was in the car accident that was caused by Tom's death she was there when he died. Mullet is a little cutie glad that his brother Paul in it now finally.

I about spat my drink out when i first saw her, total shock It's pretty cool that 20years on and she's back on the show.
Skylover Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Arielxo - yeah, many of noticed that. It was a nice surprise. Funny to see her in such different roles too! Personally I found block 528-532 a much better set of episodes than the previous week. All the stuff about the viewing and Pippa remembering the time she visited her granny after she had died - it was excellent writing. As was Tom's funeral episode. I love the underscore they use in episodes like this in the early years, it adds so much to the scenes. Poor Pippa, when she was just sitting on her bed in SBH when everyone was downstairs. I've found Steven's reaction especially good. It's nice to see that he cares, and it showed off Adam's acting skills which as yet had been lacking IMO. One thing that has surprised me is that I've been enjoying Viv and Steven's relationship a lot more. I think it's probably because shes been supporting him rather than the nauseating scenes about her not ready to have sex/him wanting sex. Sweet how Steven was saying that they'd have children in the not-too-distant future. He obviously doesn't know that she's leaving in a couple of months! I wonder what Mouche Phillips is up to these days, she doesn't act anymore does she? Sally/Mullet etc I'm not too bothered about.
