dncllpyk Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Yesterdays episode the end of it when Lance left was so sad poor Sally. I cried when Sally was crying and when her and Lance were hugging each other goodbye
matty Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Yes, Sally and Lance's relationship is one of those strange combinations that works perfectly. I remember the scene from Sally's (non) wedding when she went running and consoling in Lance, and the flashback to the early years. Very poignant, as was his overall farwell scene. Why do we have to keep hearing about how Ben is Italian? Very annoying, tedious and irritating. He sounds pretty Australian to me, anyway.
matty Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Seen up to 510.I must admit I felt a very strong pang at the end of 506 and I realised this was going to be pretty much the last time we saw Lance and Martin together.(Well, for about ten years anyway.)His last episode was a bit of an anti-climax, he was basically only in it for a couple of farewell scenes sandwiched in the middle of the episode and the choice of farewellees seemed a bit eccentric:Ben says goodbye to him but not Adam, Matt, Carly, Bobby or Steven? The illiteracy storyline's been handled pretty well, although as is often the case a character who's hid it successfully for years suddenly has everyone asking her to read things.(As someone pointed out at the time, Sophie did seem to read a menu when she started work at the Diner, although it's just about possible it was a lucky guess.)I actually think Sophie's got a bit of a crush on Matt, she seemed to be flirting with him back when they first met and again at the surf club before the accident. Then again, she's probably at the age when she's crushing on everyone. Yes, I don't quite fully understand how she was able to read the menu, then suddenly becomes illiterate? Also, why did Colleen criticise Marikyn earlier this year for leaving Lance, when it was he who left her?
Natasha Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Just when I was about to call Lance a coward for leaving without saying goodbye, he comes back. A good exit for an iconic character. I will miss him, more so than Martin. So sick of Ben and Carly. And is it horrible of me to feel sorry for Sally more than Marilyn?
GameTime Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Martin's exit episode seemed a bit rushed and a bit of a letdown, I did like the storyline that led to it though. Lance's, however, was absolutely brilliant. The bit at the end with Sally was just outstanding (+ really sad!), and a fitting end to Lance's stay. I'm struggling to get my head around all the recent departures, first Andrew (yeah he was a bit annoying, but still), then Celia, Martin and now Lance. Just when I thought Carly was starting to act more mature, she's going to fall for a con man. Unbelievable.

dncllpyk Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Carly shouldnt just assume because Ben is italian he will want a big family. Then she tried to borrow money off Adam so she could see that jewellery didnt Ben tell her to earn it like everybody else? Gee it only took her two seconds to go against his word
English Invader Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Carly shouldnt just assume because Ben is italian he will want a big family. Then she tried to borrow money off Adam so she could see that jewellery didnt Ben tell her to earn it like everybody else? Gee it only took her two seconds to go against his word I find it hard to believe that Carly would have been that gullible, even with her present money worries. The man wants $500 upfront for a load of cheap jewellery to sell door-to-door. Maybe she should join the police force and become a detective.
alexx Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 The Beach House!!! The first episode featuring the original and best outdoor location too. They need to start filming there again and get back these iconic locations!!! The moment I saw those windows and stairs I had a rush of nostalgia.
Old H&A Fan Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Back then owned by an arrogant pig called Ernie Jacobs. Wait till he gets the embarrassment he deserves!!
