That is her real (Canadian) accent - her Australian accent is put on for the role.

I just looked up an interview with her on youtube and she's got a funny sort of half and half accent in real life. Certain things she says sound very Canadian and other things sound very Australian. But April's accent is definitely put on for the show.

Yeah she was she played blind girl Anne Baxter who was switched with Bree Timmins at birth. Tessa played a blind girl so well people thought she was really blind. I love Lisa in Neighbours. And yes her accent was canadian because Boyd always called her American which Summer replyed to shes canadian.
