We were in the middle of lunch when I realized that April had gone really quite the next minute I saw her jump up from the table and into her room.

“Um. I’ll just go see…..” I trailed off. I knocked on her door.

“Come in” she said.

“Hey what’s wrong, are you alright?” I asked closing the door behind me.

“Yeah it’s just a bit overwhelming” she said.

“That there is a lot of people at the table?” I guessed.

“Yeah. Liam is so lucky. I wish I had nice parents, you know ones that talk to you and stuff”

“I know, me too. But they are part of our family now” I said.

“I know” April said.

“I know there had been a lot of changes”

“There has been. But its all good changes. It just takes some getting used to, that’s all” she said.

“I know. This will all just take time. But really I like all Liam’s family, they are all so nice” I said.

“Yeah they are. I like them all too don’t worry” April said.

“Well that’s good. I’m glad you like them all”

“Actually now that we are alone for a second I got you something sis” April said handing me a box.

“Aw wow this is so pretty” I exclaimed pulling out a necklace from the box.

“I’m glad you like it” April said.

“I have something for you too but its back at Irene’s” I said.

“Don’t worry you can give it to me later” she said.

“Are you ready to go back out?” I asked.

“Yeah. I want to try that dessert” she said.

“Okay” I said linking arms with her we walked back out.

“Everything okay?” Linda asked concerned.

“Yeah its just a little overwhelming, this family stuff. I don’t have a very nice one aside from Bianca of course” April said.

“What April means is that it will take a little getting used to having all these new family members around” I added.

“Yeah since its been just us for so long with a drugged up mother and a disrespectful father” April said.

“Well like I said before you girls are apart of us now. We mean it” Linda said.

“I’m really glad that you two have fallen in love” April said.

“Trust me, your not the only one that’s glad of that” I said.

Liam leaned over and kissed me.

“That was a really nice dessert” April commented after we had finished eating.

“Thanks April” Linda replied.

“I promised Xav I’d go see him, if that’s okay” April said.

“Yeah sure go” I said.

“Well thanks for lunch and for my presents. See you guys later” April said.

She got a chorus of goodbyes.

“So when’s your next gig bro?” Luke asked.

“Tomorrow afternoon. At the radio station”

“Awesome” Luke said.

“You can come watch if you want” Liam offered.

“Okay sure” he said.

“Good then you can keep Bianca company”

“Ah so that’s why you wanted me to come” Luke laughed.

“Well I can only have a couple of guests at this one” Liam said.

“Miles will be disappointed” I said.

Liam laughed. “He can come to the next one don’t worry” he said.

“Well as long as I can always come” I said.

“Yeah it’s a requirement that I have baby” Liam said.

“Ooh starting to get a bit diva are we?” I laughed.

“Only where you’re concerned” he said.

“Aw how sweet” I grinned.

We had all gathered on the couches at this point of the night.

“So has everybody….. is that your phone Bianca?” Lucy said interrupting herself.

“Ooh yeah” I said picking up my phone. “Merry Christmas Charlie” I sang laughingly.

I heard her laugh. “Merry Christmas Bianca” she said.

“Wait hold on” I said and covered the phone. “I can tell her right?”

“Yeah of course” Liam smiled.

“So guess who got engaged this morning?” I said to Charlie.

“OMG” she squealed. “Leah come here” I heard her calling out. “Tell Leah” she said.

“So guess who got engaged this morning?” I said again.

“OMG” Leah squealed.

“Bianca we gotta go to Angelo’s to celebrate” Charlie said.

“Okay” I agreed.

“Congratulations” Leah said.

“Thankyou” I replied.

“I can tell your really happy now” Charlie said.

“Oh yeah” I said.

“Well its fantastic news. Congrats” Charlie said.

“Thanks Charlie” I replied.

“So we’ll see you around 7 at Angelo’s?” Leah asked.

“Yeah awesome” I replied.

“Okay, well have a good rest of the night” Charlie said.

“Yeah you guys too. Bye” I replied.

“Bye” They said.

“They both screamed so loudly” I commented.

“Yeah I could hear them” Liam said.

“Anyway Lucy you were going to say something?” I said.

“Oh yeah I was just going to ask if everyone had a good night?” she said.

“Oh yeah I sure did” I said.

“Yeah I did too” Liam said.

“Me too and I think its time for us to go leave you two lovebirds alone” Linda said.

“What times the gig tomorrow?” I asked Liam when we were alone.

“11am” he said.

“Okay” I replied. “I don’t know if I said before but this ring is so beautiful”

“I’m glad you like it baby” he said.

“I love you babe” I said.

“I love you too” he said.

“Shall we go to bed?” I asked.

Liam smiled. “Definitely” he said.

I woke up the next morning at 9am. I looked at my hand , I couldn’t believe what had happened yesterday, it seemed like a dream but I knew it was real. I noticed Liam was already up so I wondered into the kitchen and found him sitting at the table.

“Your nervous” I greeted him.

“Yeah” he answered.

“I’ll go get the door” I said as I heard it ringing.

“Hey Bianca” Luke said.

“Hey Luke” I replied.

“How’s Liam doing?”

“He’s a lot nervous” I said.

“Hey bro” Luke said to Liam.

“Hi” Liam replied.

“Babe, I’m going to make some eggs. You need to eat something” I said.

“I’m not hungry” he said.

“Don’t care babe” I said. “Want some Luke?”

“Yeah sure thanks” he replied.

I put the plate in front of Liam. “Please eat” I said. “You’ll feel better”

Luke and I started to eat. “These are great Bianca. Bro your lucky you have someone that can cook”

“I think I might be sick” Liam responded.

“Okay babe here breathe into this bag” I said handing him a paper bag. I started to rub his back.

“Feeling any better?” Luke asked after a few minutes.

“Yeah actually” Liam said. “What would I do without you baby?”

“Probably chucking up in the bathroom” Luke said.

“Probably” Liam agreed. “And your right, these are great eggs”

“Your phone’s ringing babe” I said.

“Yeah I’ll go get it” he said.

I looked at Luke. “I hope he’ll do okay today” I said.

“You know you do a lot for him. Just having you here makes a difference. He would be in a lot worse state before” he said.

“Really? I’m not doing all that much” I said.

“You may think that, but you are doing a whole lot. I know I’ve said it before but I am glad that he has you” Luke said.

“Aww” I said. “I don’t know what to say now”

“You don’t need to say anything” Luke said.

“So, who was on the phone?” I asked as Liam walked back in.

He laughed. “Miles. Complaining that he can’t come see me”

I laughed. “He’ll survive” I said.

“Maybe I should record it for him” Luke said.

“That’s a good idea” Liam said.

I kissed Liam.

“Nice” He commented. “More of that please”

I grinned. “Alright” I said and kissed him again.

“Oh okay, you know I am sitting right here you two” Luke said.

“Oh yeah, kinda forgot you were here” I said laughing.

“Don’t worry my bro’s just jealous, aren’t you bro?” Liam asked.

“I am actually” Luke said much to Liam’s surprise.

“Wow I didn’t think you’d take that seriously” he said.

“Well why wouldn’t I be jealous? I mean Bianca’s totally hot and lovely”

“Hmmm bro maybe I should ask Miles to come instead of you” Liam laughed.

Luke laughed. “I’m not attracted to Bianca” he said.

“Oh I know that” Liam said. “Actually I was wondering though if you’d be my best man”

“Really?”

“Yeah bro” Liam said.

“I’d be honoured bro” Luke said.

“Awww brotherly love” I said.

“How many bridesmaids are you going to have?” Liam asked me.

“Well. I was just thinking Charlie & Leah. Of course April is my maid of honour” I said.

“Okay good. So I should have 3 people up there too cos otherwise it wouldn’t look right” Liam said.

I grinned. “So Luke, Miles and Angelo?” I guessed.

“Yeah” Liam smiled.

“Perfect” I said.

Liam looked at his watch. “We need to get going” he said.

“Okay” I agreed.

We arrived at the radio station and Liam was immediately ushered into the studio. Luke and I could watch through the glass window.

“So we have a new artist here Liam Murphy, welcome” the DJ said.

“Thanks for having me” Liam said.

“And your from Summer Bay?”

“Yes I am” Liam answered.

“I hear it’s a beautiful place”

“It is quite beautiful, its got a great beach and fantastic people” Liam agreed.

“Right. This is the first song off your album. It’s a great song. Is it true it’s about a girl?”

“Yeah its about my beautiful girl” Liam said.

“So it is true folks, he does have a girlfriend”

“Actually I asked her to marry me yesterday and she said yes” Liam announced.

“Well congratulations. Is that her over there?”

“Yeah yeah that’s her. Next to my brother” Liam said.

“So what’s her name?”

“Bianca Scott”

“I guess this song is a love song then”

“Yeah it’s a love song, it has real feelings in it, it is about my feelings for Bianca but it also has a rock edge to it” Liam said.

“Well we are going to hear him play it live after these commercials” the dj said. “So great interview Liam” he said as they were off air.

“Yeah thanks” Liam said as I walked into the room.

“And you must be the beautiful Bianca”

“Yeah, nice to meet you” I said.

“Pleasure is mine” the dj said.

“Great interview babe” I said to Liam giving him a kiss.

“Mmm thanks baby” he said.

“Okay we are going back on air” the dj announced.

I walked out of the room and stood next to Luke.

I heard Liam singing live for the first time in this kind of environment. “Wow” I breathed.

“Yeah he’s amazing right?” Luke said.

“He’s more then amazing” I said.

“I think he’s finished” Luke said.

“Yeah this is the end of the song” I said.

Liam stood up and shook the dj’s hand.

“That was great Liam you can come back anytime you want”

“Thankyou” Liam said putting his arm around my shoulder.

“You ready to go bro?” Luke asked.

“Yeah lets go” Liam said.

“So how was that?” Luke asked as we got in a taxi to go home.

“I was really nervous at the start but then I just looked at Bianca and it was like I was fine”

“You looked at me and you were fine?”

“Yeah baby I don’t know what it is but you just give me this calm feeling”

“I don’t know what it is either” I said.

“I think its love” Luke said.

“What?” Liam asked.

“Oh come on. You two are mad about each other, I’m sure it is that feeling that makes you feel calm bro”

“Maybe” Liam said.

I looked at my watch. “Oh gosh its nearly 7. Can I get dropped off at Angelo’s?” I asked the taxi driver. He nodded at me.

“Oh your leaving me now?” Liam pouted.

I grinned. “Yeah. You can have dinner with your brother over here” I said.

“Okay” Liam said.

I climbed over Liam to get out of the taxi. “Thanks” I said to the driver. I put my head through the window. “I love you. See you later” I said giving Liam a kiss. “Bye Luke”

“Bye Bianca” they both said.
