Together At Last

Two months later and I was in my room at Irene’s getting ready for my wedding. The day had finally arrived.

I was alone for the moment staring at myself in the mirror.

“Come in” I called as I heard a knock at the door.

“Wow you look beautiful darling” Alf said.

“Thanks” I replied.

“Can I come in?” Nicole asked hovering at the doorway.

“Yeah of course” I replied.

She went over the dress one last time.

“Love you did an amazing job on the dress I think you can stop worrying now” Alf said.

“I know I was just checking again” Nicole replied.

“Nic I know I said it before but this dress is so beautiful and precious. I especially love the music note sequins” I said.

“Your welcome” she smiled.

“So are we all ready to go in here” Irene came to the door with April.

“Yeah I am so ready” I said eagerly.

“You look beautiful darl” Irene said.

“Thanks” I said again.

“Can I just speak to Bianca alone for one moment?” April asked suddenly.

“Yeah sure girlie, will be downstairs waiting” Irene said pulling Nic and Alf out of the room.

“Everything alright?” I asked April.

“Yeah of course” she said. “I just wanted to say something to you before I lose the chance. I feel really happy that you are so happy and you look really stunning right now”

“Thanks sis” I said giving her a hug.

“I love you” she said.

“I love you too” I replied.

She smiled. “Let’s go. Liam’s waiting”

We all piled into the waiting Limos. April, Irene, Alf and of course myself piled into one. Nic, and my bridesmaids Charlie & Leah who were dressed in purple dresses piled into another. We all got safely to the beach. It was a bright sunny day. There was a marquee at the front which had Liam, Angelo and Miles standing with the priest. There was a red carpet on the sand which I was about to walk out in. And of course chairs for all the other guests that we had invited including Liam’s family who was seated up the front. My mother was not invited for obvious reasons.

Leah walked down the aisle first then Charlie. Then April walked down.

Finally it was my turn. I took a deep breathe.

“Ready love?” Alf asked holding my hand.

“More then ready” I replied and smiled brightly.

“Let’s go then” he said.

I walked slowly down the aisle even though all I wanted to do was run down it. As soon as I got to the end I stood at my place and Alf sat in his seat next to Irene. Nic sat next to Romeo & Indi behind Alf & Irene. Sid, Dex & Marilyn were seated close by and Roo was seated next to Ruby & Morag. John, Gina & Xavier were behind them. Everyone that we invited came.

“Wow” Liam breathed.

I smiled. “What?” I asked innocently.

“You look stunning in that dress. I love the sequins” he said.

I winked at Nicole. “Well thankyou, your not so bad yourself” I said.

The priest cleared his throat. “Who here gives there blessing for this lovely bride to be given away?” he started.

Irene & Alf stood up. “I do” they both said.

“Then lets begin” he said.

We finally got to the part where we say I do. We decided on the traditional way.

“Do you Bianca take Liam to be your husband?”

“I do” I answered.

“And do you Liam take Bianca to be your wife?”

“I defiantly do” Liam said.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss each other”

Liam removed my vale from my face and gave me a very passionate kiss.

We walked back down the aisle and into the waiting Limo that was taking us to our reception at Angelo’s. I looked back for a second to see if April was okay and noticed her getting into a car with Irene and Alf so I knew she was fine.

I grinned at Liam. “We’re married!”

“I know I am so happy” Liam said. “This is the happiest day of my life baby”

“Mine too” I replied.

“Can we make out now?”

I laughed. “Definitely. I don’t think they will mind if we are a little late” I said.

After numerous messages left on my phone from Leah, Irene, April and Charlie I finally wrote back to April and said we will be there in a few minutes.

We arrived only 10 minutes late.

Alf stood up. “Ladies & Gentleman please welcome Mr Liam & Mrs Bianca Murphy” he announced.

We walked into the room amongst applause and sat down at our table to have some food.

Charlie sat next to me at the table. “Oi you” she whispered and nudged me.

“What?”

“Did you get lucky on the way over here?” she grinned.

“Charlie Buckton” I exclaimed laughing.

“Well?” she insisted.

“Okay fine. Yes I did” I replied.

Charlie laughed. “I knew it” she said. “Hey Leah”

“What?” She asked.

“You owe me $20” Charlie said.

“Bugger” Leah groaned.

“I can’t believe you two bet on that” I said. “And I can’t believe you said that we weren’t doing that Leah I mean haven’t you learnt anything?” I grinned.

“Obviously not” she laughed handing Charlie a $20 note.

“You guys are pathetic” I said rolling my eyes.

“You mean Leah’s pathetic I just scored a free $20” Charlie grinned.

“Yeah yeah” Leah replied.

“Did I just see Leah give Charlie some money?” Liam asked.

“Yeah they bet on us” I answered.

“We bet that you two were getting some and that’s why you were late coming here, well I bet that Leah stupidly bet against me” Charlie explained.

“Leah honestly, you should know better then that. You know we like to get some” Liam said.

“Yes I know my bad” she grinned.

I put my head on Liam’s shoulder.

“So when’s the food coming out I’m getting hungry” Angelo said.

“I’m starving” I complained.

“Yeah and I wonder why” Miles teased.

“Oh shush, I’m allowed to get some whenever I want on my wedding day” I replied.

“You’ve been told mate” Angelo said.

“And any other day for that matter” I added.

Liam grinned. “I am such a lucky guy” he said.

“Yeah and don’t ever forget that” I replied.

“Nope” he said and gave me a kiss.

“Oh get a room” Leah laughed.

“Or the backseat of a limo” Charlie joked.

Everyone at the table laughed.

“Oh man no one is going to forget that now” Liam laughed.

“Especially me” I grinned.

“Maybe everyone should leave” Angelo said.

“Hmmmm….” I pretended to consider. “Not a bad idea”

“Bianca!” Angelo exclaimed.

“I’m kidding!” I replied.

“Oh good some food” Miles said.

We were served entrée which was stuffed mushrooms.

“Mmm that was yummo” I said.

“It was indeed” Liam agreed.

“Anyway, I’m going to go make the rounds” I said.

“Okay, I’ll be here” Liam said.

“Okay” I replied giving him a kiss.

I got up and made my way to the first table which had John, Gina, Xavier and April. I walked up to Gina and put my arms around her giving her a kiss on her cheek.

“Having a good time?” I asked sitting down in the free seat next to her.

“Yeah but most importantly are you?” Gina asked me.

“Of course like you had to ask that” I replied.

“You look very beautiful” John said.

“Thanks” I said.

“Who knew this would happen when you first arrived” Gina said.

I laughed. “Not me” I said.

“Especially the way you acted” John said.

I grinned. “I know I was horrible” I said.

“Yes but of course you know you’ve been forgiven “ Gina said.

“Oh I know” I said. “We are having dancing later on I expect you guys to be up there with us”

“Oh we will don’t worry” Gina said.

“We will?” John enquired.

“Yes we will” Gina said firmly.

“Great” I replied. “Hey Xav”

“Hey you look so nice” Xavier said.

“Thanks” I replied. “Can I talk to you alone for a second?”

“Yeah sure” he said giving me a confused look.

“Don’t worry your not in trouble” I said dragging him out of the room and into the hallway.

“So if I’m not in trouble, then what’s wrong” he said.

“Nothing I just, I just need you to look after my sister for me” I said.

“Of course, I always do” he said.

“I know its just this time you know I won’t be there for her to turn to when she wants to talk or whatever when I go on my honeymoon tomorrow and I know she’ll be okay if your there for her” I trailed off.

Xavier smiled. “Bianca, don’t worry. I’ll look after April. She’s got me, plus Irene and Alf. She’ll be fine” he patted my shoulder.

“Yeah well I also want to say thanks for being there for her”

“I’m in love with your sister” Xavier said. “It’s part of my job to be there for her and I love doing that”

I smiled. “I’m glad she has you” I said.

“Thanks” he said. “Now don’t you want to get back to your husband?”

I smiled. “Yup. Let’s go back in. Thanks Xav” I said.

“What was that all about?” Liam asked as I sat back in my seat.

“I just wanted to make sure my sister was going to be looked after that’s all” I said.

“You know she will be” Liam pulled my hair out of my face.

“Yeah I just wanted to be sure” I said.

“That’s one of the many things that I love about you” Liam said.

“That I’m some kind of control freak?”

“No. That even after everything and even how old April is you still make sure she’s going to be alright. I think that’s an amazing quality to have” Liam said.

“She’s my baby sister” I said.

“I know” Liam said and gave me a kiss. “I love you”

I grinned. “I love you too”

The mains came out just at the right time when I was starting to get hungry again. We chose to have chicken parma.

After we finished the mains we knew it was time for some speeches.

Charlie got up and said her speech. Then Miles got up and said his. April also said a few words. Then I stood up and I was a bit nervous but all I did was thank everyone for coming and thanked Irene & Leah for making the food and then Angelo for letting us have it at his place and Nicole for making my dress. I thought that was it after I sat back down but Liam surprised me.

“Um everyone I know there has been a lot of speeches but I just have a few words to say”

“What are you doing?” I asked even though it was obvious.

“It’s okay baby” he replied. “I know a lot of you here have seen me in my dark side and don’t worry cos that is never going to happen again. Today has been the happiest day of my life cos I have finally found someone who loves me and who I love back and I know we show our affection a lot in public” he paused as everyone laughed.

“Woohoo get a room” Roo yelled out to more laughter.

Liam grinned. “Yeah and that’s your faveourite saying I know but you guys just have to get used to it” he continued. He turned to me. “I just wanted to say that I love you so so so much baby and I am so happy that you’re my wife”

By this stage I was getting quite teary.

“April” he said.

“Got it” she said giving him his guitar like she knew this was going to happen.

“Anyway, I am now going to sing my first single which I know you all know is about Bianca. Yeah so here I go” he started singing the song to me.

As he kept singing and looking at me lovingly I started to really cry. Every time I hear the song it gives me goosebumps and sends me down an emotional rollercoaster – in a good, loving way.

He finished the song. “Thankyou” he said.

Everyone applauded and went back to talking amongst themselves.

“Baby come with me” Liam said pulling me up and taking me to the next room.

“I’m okay” I said immediately when we were alone. I knew he was taking me there so I could calm down.

“I know” he said wiping the rest of my tears away.

“That was really amazing and sweet” I said. “I love you so very much”

“I love you too even if your make up is running everywhere” He grinned.

“It is?” I asked panicked.

“Yeah don’t worry I’ll go get Charlie she has your make up doesn’t she?”

“Yeah she does” I answered.

The next minute Charlie came in with my make up bag and we went into the bathroom while Liam went back to his seat.

“You obviously didn’t know that was going to happen did you?” Charlie said.

“I had no clue”

“That’s because Liam told us he was going to do it but we had to keep it a secret from you”

“Really?” I asked.

“Yeah he did” she confirmed.

“Wow” I said. “I am so lucky”

“Yes you are” Charlie agreed.

“This has been such an amazing day Charlie, I couldn’t even ask for anything better” I said.

“Don’t get teary again. I don’t want to re-do your makeup. Again.” Charlie scolded playfully.

I laughed as the door to the bathroom opened again.

“Liam sent me in here to check if everything’s okay” Leah said.

“Tell him everything’s okay, we’ll be out in a minute” Charlie replied.

I grinned. “Now I actually have to go to the loo” I said.

Charlie laughed. “Do you need any help with your dress?” she asked.

“No I think I got it” I said.

“Okay, I’ll wait outside” she said.

“Okay thanks” I replied.

I stepped back outside to a waiting Charlie and we walked back into the restaurant together.

I went over to Liam who was talking with his family.

“Hey you guys” I said.

“Bianca you look so stunning right now” Linda replied.

“Thanks Linda” I said.

“Yeah that dress is to die for. You said Nicole made it?” Lucy asked.

“Yeah she made it all” I said.

“Wow she is amazing, I have to go congratulate her. Maybe she can make some clothes for me” Lucy said.

“Maybe” I grinned. “You should ask her, she’s sitting over there with Romeo & Indi”

“Yeah I think I will just go and do that” Lucy said.

“Darling come outside with me” Linda said to me.

“Mum your not going to be embarrassing or anything are you?” Liam asked.

“No sweetheart. I just want to talk to my lovely daughter” Linda said.

“Yeah that’s what I’m worried about” Liam muttered.

I gave Liam a look as Linda pulled me away.

“So what’s up?” I asked.

“Nothing much. I just wanted to congratulate you that’s all. I am so happy that I can call you my daughter darling. I feel very lucky” Linda said.

“Aw, Charlie’s going to kill me if I start crying again” I said.

“Then don’t cry. I know how you feel Bianca” Linda said.

I smiled and gave her a big hug.

“Everything good in here?” Liam asked appearing at the doorway.

“Yes its fine son” Linda said.

“Good, cos its time to cut the cake” Liam replied.

“Mmm cake. I love cake” I said.

“Do you love cake more then me?” Liam asked.

“Hmmmmmm” I pondered. “Of course I love cake more then you”

“Bianca!” Liam exclaimed.

“Oh you know I’m joking you idiot” I said.

“I know” he said giving me a kiss.

“Ah you two, cake” Linda reminded us.

“Right yeah cake” I said as we pulled apart.
