beau_t Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Viv is extremely bland. She really is, isn't she? Not exactly classic memorable character material!
Ryan Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 That doesn't really mater, most importantly she is nice to look at.
Skylover Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Viv is awesome! Roo and Frank departed, and they literally replaced them with a new boy and a new girl -Adam and Viv. Viv is nowhere near as defined and strong a character as Roo IMO. Although what I see of Adam so far, I think I'll like him despite the fact he seems bland. He's no more bland than Frank I suppose, so I'll enjoy watching him.
beau_t Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 I like Adam, he turns into a semi-classic character in my opinion. As for Viv, I do like one of her storylines (the only one I can remember, to be honest).
Ryan Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 They've all had one more story than Matt so far however.
Old H&A Fan Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Viv's disloyal and somewhat ungrateful attitude has disappointed me in today's episode (bearing in mind it was Dodge who helped Steven rescue her from "the city"). She seems to be moving over to little sally's side as she (Sally) poisons her mind against Dodge, after she (Viv) earlier complains about Dodge apparently not standing by Steven when he had his (short, off-screen) trial for car theft/joyriding. Steven took the rap for Dodge's joyriding because they are best mates. Dodge wasn't going to weaken his credibility by exposing himself to too many questions was he?
alexx Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 I was laughing out loud at some of the Marilyn and Andrew scenes the other day, him trying to get her off that scaffolding and the kiss hahaha I was just talking about the Morag/Celia scenes in general, I think they are great on screen together and really believable as siblings. I particularly liked the scene Morag inadvertently gave Celia a compliment (about running the store) and then she started crying about the insurance money, it was just a good scene. I dont think Sally is poisoning her mind, Viv's just starting to distrust Dodge. I wish they did a scene to get a better understanding of Sally's true hatred for him originally, i.e where it stemmed from rather than just hear her scream it at him every other episode (though I still think it was him stealing her chocolate despite her saying it wasn't). At this stage though, what he did the other week to her with the whole Milco thing and now telling her if she doesn't keep her mouth shut he will kill her dog - is enough to make her hate him with good reason Imo
Natasha Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Viv does seem rather bland and I remember watching this storyline when I was younger and how much her father and religion freaked me out. Sally is a brat when she younger. I think I missed an episode...why did Celia get the insurance money? I don't like Dodge, he's the one who's making Steve change. I cannot stand Carly. I love Adam. Lance and Martin are good but useless characters. They provide the comedy moments and not much else.
Old H&A Fan Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 In the interests of impartiality, I shall reserve my judgment about Dodge and Sally until I rewatch tomorrow's episode.
