Ryan Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 It's one of the concerns I had about the return of Roo to the show this year, that they'd bring her back as she was the first 170 episodes, and not what she was like the following 170 episodes. About the interaction, I'd be obviously unhappy or whatever the right word would be to describe it, if my Aunt died, yet I will only see her a couple of times a year. When it's a pretty close family relation, and from what it appears, Steven's nearest surviving. though that seems a pretty skimpy family (then again Abraham Lincoln has no living descendants, so family lines can die out), I don't think you need an that many scenes to believe that they would be a great deal of upset. What annoys me is someone like Colleen who gets upset about every single death.
GameTime Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 I've just caught up on the last ten episodes or so, and I have to say, it's fairly obvious that the show has hit a rough patch at this stage IMO. The way Andrew couldn't tell that Morag was manipulating his ad Carly's relationship into failing, Dodge committing criminals which he has obviously done, and this Simon guy having gone to prison seems a bit over-kill with the criminal stuff considering recent happenings with Dodge, although I'm uessing tey've thrown him into the mix to be a suspect for burning down the diner (I've only seen Dodge set it alight so not sure of what's to come). The last strong episodes were with Rebecca and also the Morag stuff. Frank is acting extremely out of character, saying he's more important than Ailsa's health. To be honest I thought this weeks episodes were excellent and they are coming out of the rough patch. I mnust admit I haven't enjoyed probably the last week or two's episodes quite as much (still good though, especially that ep where they discovered the fire!), but this week they've really got back on track. I've enjoyed the Celia/Nigel storyline, I've enjoyed the Morag's memoirs storyline, and the scenes with Lance and Martin have been absolutely brilliant. Loving these eps. Lance and Martin add so much to the show with every scene they're in.
Old H&A Fan Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Oh and the performances Alf put on in this episode, especially when Vera was preaching about the "worrying level of alcohol consumption in Summer Bay". "THAT'S FISH BAIT FISH FISH FISH!!!!!!! IT OUGHTA BE REFRIGERATED!!!" he yells, at the very ear-shattering top of his voice!!
dncllpyk Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Today episode was good. Dodge bought beer and he is only sixteen shouldnt of Alf asked for ID?
Ryan Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Alf obviously thought he was old enough, the actor playing Dodge looks older than the character's age IMO.

Old H&A Fan Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 No offence, I hope you don't mind me saying so, that profile has a few slight inaccuracies but I am not sure how to discuss them without spoiling future episodes of the show.
