I felt so bad for Steven at the end of todays episode after finding out Philip died in the same way his parents did.

One scene I loved during Monday's episode was when they had that panned out shot of the fire and the havoc is was causing, it was really effective. I just loved Monday's episode, was really powerful.

Didn't ANYONE like Phil?

I did, thought he was a good character. His acting wasn't anything flash, but he was a likeable character.

What makes the early years so good is the strong bond the characters have. Someone else pointed this out and it's completely true, you genuinely feel like there is a special bond in Summer Bay, a real tight-knit community, one thing affects everyone. The cast is excellent, the writing even more so.

Let's be honest, as good a character as she is, and as nice as she is, as an actor she's not that flash, especially when she tries to get emotional.
