What storyline would you like to see H&A tackle?

After hearing about it for several months now on Belgian and French TV, I think denial of pregnancy could be an interesting storyline. Basically, it involves women who deny their pregnancy. They don't gain weight (or just a little), don't get morning sickness, don't feel a baby moving inside them etc. Some find out they're pregnant just a few days before they go into labour, others only find out when they start having contractions. It would be interesting to see how a woman copes with that and how it could affect her partner.

Oh yeah, they done this on EastEnders years ago when Sonia went into labour and she didn't know what was happening to her. She thought she was dying

I think it would be a great twist for H&A for a character to just start having contractions out of the blue and having a baby!

I'd like to see a domestic violence storyline done well by some of the main characters. Has this been done before? I can't remember if it has - maybe a bit contraversial for teatime telly. Again, this would only work with a married or settled couple, of which there aren't enough of at the moment.

I'd love to see a new family move to the Bay. I loved it when the Sutherlands and Holdens first appeared on the scene and seemed to slot in right away - we've not had that for ages. Indigo and Dexter's family (don't remember their names) lasted about 2 seconds?

they done that a couple of times in recent years (domestic violence) cassie and macca and another (teen) couple who were guests. no reason it couldn't be done again though.

That's right - I'd completely forgotten about Cassie and Macca - probably a bit too soon to do it again!

Charlie and Angelo would the prime candidates for a domestic violence storyline once they get back together. Angelo already has all the traits of an abusive boyfriend; he's paranoid, controlling, obsessive, violent, aggressive and short-tempered. Remember how close he came to smacking Belle around? He didn't even love her like he supposedly loves Charlie, imagine what his reaction would be if he found out that Charlie cheated on him. Chuck would be lucky not to be decapitated by flying furniture.

And Charlie has become such a pathetic character that I could easily see her taking the abuse and trying to hide it from everyone (who would all apparently be on Angelo's side anyway, considering that everyone and their mother on the show has been sticking their nose in and trying to force Charlie to get back together with him lately).

i was thinking the same thing luckyrabbit when i read RE domestic abuse. With angelos behaviour recently i think you could easily see their relationship going that way with angelo desperate to have charlie move in with him so he can control her and keep a close watch over her so he knows what she is doing and who she is seeing etc Angelo does have a history of having a temper/being violent-did he also not whack hugo in the diner or surf club last year? If they wanted to do a domestic abuse story they could easily use this pairing particularly as you say with charlie not being the strong woman she once was-i think she would probably take the abuse and think it was her fault and deserved it for not giving him what he wants. For a couple that have been paired up mainly just to give the show another good looking couple it would certainly be a meaty storyline and show that domestic abuse can happen in any relationship regardless of job, status, age or looks.

I really like this idea! It would work really well! Luke would be able to pull it off, not sure whether Esther would be able to tho.. :/

But would be soo good!!

but angelo yeah...he's a smug pig so wouldn't put it past him.

Have you done a poll for this topic? There are some really interesting ideas on this thread, it would be nice to see which is/are the most popular.
