The next day (Wednesday), Kierain has his AWBL qualifier against St Kilda.

Kierain: We’re going to win this! I just know it!

Pam: I’m sure you’ll knock them dead chook!

Kierain: Sure? I KNOW we’ll knock them down! *smiles*

*they enter the stadium*

Doug: Pam?

Pam: Yes?

Doug: I really hope Summer Bay advance into the final.

Pam: So do I.

(At Judith’s house, she is finishing her and Misty have finished packing up their belongings before the big move tomorrow.)

Judith: I’m sure going to miss this place.

Misty: Don’t your parents still own it?

Judith: No, they decided to rent it out to another family when they heard I was moving to Coffs Harbour to be with Nan. They live in Grafton, about an hours drive from Coffs.

Misty: I see.

Judith: I will miss you though.

Misty: I’ll miss you too. It’s just going to be hard adjusting to living with Kerry and Peter.

Judith: Trust me. They’re nice people.

Misty: That’s a relief. *smiles*

Judith: Come here.

*Misty and Judith hug*

After the AWBL game is over (Summer Bay won the game, 73-55), Mr Poulous approaches Kierain.

Mr Poulous: Kierain?

Kierain: Hey, Mr Poulous. How are you?

Mr Poulous: Still coming to terms to Nicky’s death.

Kierain: I miss him. *sighs sadly*

Mr Poulous: I miss him too.

Kierain: So, what’s the reason for visiting me?

Mr Poulous: I wanted to give you this. It belonged to Nick, but he insisted on giving it to you. *hands Kierain a pair of footy boots that belonged to Nick*

Kierain: Are you sure?

Mr Poulous: Of course.

Kierain: Thanks Mr Poulous. That means a lot. *smiles*

Mr Poulous: You’re welcome. *smiles back before heading on is way*

*Pam approaches him*

Pam: Who was that chook?

Kierain: Nick Poulous’s dad.

Pam: Oh. *puts her arm around Kierain*

(At the diner, Bette enters and sees Jacqueline at the counter.)

Bette: How is Judy’s weight loss going?

Jacqueline: Rather well. Why do you ask?

Bette: I was hoping that she’d FAIL! *laughs*

Jacqueline: *rather annoyed* Look Midler did you come to get something?

Bette: I’ll have a cheeseburger thanks honey. It’s a shame Judy won’t be munching on those anymore.

*Unfortunately for Bette, Judy hears that upon entering the diner for her shift.*

Judy: *to a boy with a banana milkshake* You finished with that?

*The boy nods and Judy takes his milkshake off him*

Bette: Judy Bryant will never be a success like me because I’M a star!

*Judy pours the milkshake all over Bette’s head*

Bette: ARGH!!! LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO ME!!!

Judy: Maybe next time you’ll think twice before picking on people Midler! Now vamoose!

*A humiliated Bette runs out of the diner as customers laugh*

Jacqueline: That was good Jude.

Judy: Sure was.

That night, Bette and Bev are talking in the living room.

Bette: Can’t believe that stupid little bitch poured a banana milkshake over my head!

Bev: It was pretty immature.

Bette: My wardrobe is so full of old clothes that need to be sent to the op shop!

Bev: You know what Bette? Mine is too.

Bette: Let’s clean them out.

Bev: Good idea.

*After half-an-hour of cleaning out their respective wardrobes, Bette and Bev load a total of five garbage bags full of their old clothes into Bette’s car.*

Bev: Right. That’s the lot of it. *smiles*

Bette: I’ll take them to the nearest op shop tomorrow.

Bev: Well, the nearest one is the one Celia Stewart owns.

Bette: Then, I’ll take them to her first thing in the morning. *smiles*

*Bev smiles back*

(At Irene’s house, Finlay is in the front yard when Kathryn Jenkins approaches her.)

Kathryn: You’re an ugly rat!

Finlay: Excuse me?

Kathryn: I said you’re an ugly rat!

Finlay: Am not!

Kathryn: Just hope you don’t start Summer Bay High next term because everyone will laugh at you!

*Finlay starts crying*

Kathryn: CRY-BABY!!!!

*Irene storms out and confronts Kathryn*

Irene: WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE SCREAMIN AT MY DAUGHTER LIKE THAT YOU LITTLE BRAT?!? GO BOTHER SOMEONE ELSE GIRLIE!!!

Kathryn: But…

Irene: GET LOST BEFORE I GO TO YOUR HOUSE AND TELL YOUR PARENTS!!!

*Kathryn bolts off in fear*

*Finlay hugs Irene*

The next day (Thursday), Kierain arrives at No.26 to see Helen, who has returned home from hospital.

Helen: Darling. How lovely to see you.

Kierain: I just wanted to see how you are. *hugs Helen* Where are Scott and Charlene?

Helen: They’re staying with Madge. Most importantly, how are things going with you?

Kierain: Great. Bea got arrested for that brake tampering stunt she did with your car.

Helen: Good riddance.

Kierain: I know.

Helen: How would you like to do a painting of you?

Kierain: You would do that?

Helen: Of course. You are my surrogate grandson and I think you deserve a painting.

*Kierain smiles*

Kierain: I would like that.

Helen: Then I shall do it.

*Kierain and Helen hug*

(At Summer Bay High, Samuelu is near the lockers brooding when Karen approaches him.)

Karen: Why have you been avoiding me?

Samuelu: *defensively* I haven’t been avoiding you!

Karen: You’re not the one that’s moving to Newcastle. Do you think I wanted this?

Samuelu: Of course not. Blame your stinking Dad because he got a job transfer!

Karen: Don’t you dare talk bad about my father! It’s not his fault he’s such a hard worker!

*they look at each other*

Samuelu/Karen: I’m sorry. *they hug*

Karen: I’m just going to miss everyone here.

Samuelu: I know. I’m going to miss you heaps.

Karen: Misty’s not taking it well.

Samuelu: Can you blame her? She’s losing Judith and now she’s going to lose you on Sunday.

Karen: I know. She hasn’t had a good year losing her friends.

*Samuelu nods sadly*

Karen: We’ll go to the city on Saturday night and rage.

Samuelu: Sounds good. *smiles before kissing Karen*

*Karen sees Rhonda approaching*

Karen: I’ll see you later. *goes over to Rhonda* Rhonda?

Rhonda: Hey Karen.

Karen: Can you promise me one thing?

Rhonda: Sure.

Karen: Take care of Misty and Samuelu for me.

*Rhonda touches Karen’s shoulder*

Rhonda: Will do. *smiles*

*Karen smiles back*

At Judith’s later that day, she has finished putting the last of her things into the removalist truck when Peter and Kerry approach her.

Kerry: All done?

Judith: Yes. I’ve said goodbye to everyone and I feel like I’m all cried out now. *laughs weakly*

Peter: We promise we’ll take good care of Misty.

Judith: You better. She’s like a sister to me.

*Misty arrives home from school with a sad face*

Misty: This is it.

Judith: It is. Now, I’ve put your stuff in Kerry’s station wagon. Everything is there.

*Misty starts to cry*

Judith: *now crying herself* I’m going to miss you.

Misty: I’m going to miss you as well.

*Judith and Misty hug tightly*

Judith: I’m going to miss this town. Well, wish me luck in Coffs Harbour.

Peter: Good luck Judith.

*Judith hugs both Peter and Kerry before getting into the removalist truck*

Judith: Goodbye. I’ll always keep in touch.

Kerry: Bye Judith.

*The removalist van drives away as Peter waves and Kerry hugs a sobbing Misty*

Misty arrives at the Fletchers and immediately becomes depressed.

Misty: I miss Judith already.

Kerry: I know it’s hard sweetie, but the most important thing is that you’ll be able to visit her once she’s settled in Coffs Harbour.

Misty: I’ll just have to adjust to this new lifestyle.

Kerry: You can only try. *smiles*

Misty: That’s true.

Kerry: Come here.

*Misty and Kerry hug*

(Over in Erinsborough, Meg is continuing to be a pain in the neck.)

Meg: Cody Willis is SO fake!

*Kierain rolls his eyes*

Meg: Oh and you should see that dreadful Todd Landers! What a thief!

*Kierain finally loses it with Meg*

Kierain: SHUT UP MEG! FOR ONCE IN YOUR SAD AND MISERABLE LIFE, SHUT UP!!!

Meg: I’M SAD AND MISERABLE?!? MORE LIKE YOU ARE A STUPID LITTLE REBEL THAT CAN’T KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT!!!

*a scared Meg runs off*

At Summer Bay High the next day (Friday), it’s the last day of Term 2 and all of Karen’s friends have decided to throw a farewell party for her.

Leanne: Her face will light up once she walks in.

Tracey: It sure will. *smiles*

*Outside, Samuelu is walking with Karen*

Karen: Why do you want to take me to the English block?

Samuelu: I want to talk to you about tomorrow night.

Karen: Oh.

Samuelu: Would you like to open the door?

*Karen opens the door*

Everyone: SURPRISE!!!!!

Karen: *shocked and surprised* What is this?

Tracey: We have decided to throw you a farewell party.

Anna: Because we’re going to miss you, especially me bestie.

Karen: This is great. Thanks guys.

Leanne: You’re welcome.

Tiago: Make sure you come visit during the holidays and tell us how Newcastle is via Bebo, Facebook and of course texts!

Karen: I’ll keep you all informed. You guys are the best friends I could ever ask for.

Alice: It’s all true Karen.

Anna: I think this calls for a group hug.

*Karen hugs all her friends*

Karen: I’ll miss you all so much.

(At the diner, Jacqueline is talking to Narelle.)

Jacqueline: So, how long are you in the Bay for?

Narelle: Until I sort my dingbat of a cousin out personally and professionally!

Jacqueline: Lance?

Narelle: That’s right!

Jacqueline: Have you got a job at the moment?

Narelle: No.

Jacqueline: Would you like to work with me in the diner?

Narelle: That’s beaute! When do I start?

Jacqueline: How about tomorrow?

Narelle: Even better!

Jacqueline: Great. See you then.

*Narelle leaves and returns to the caravan park to find Lance watching TV*

Narelle: LANCE!!!!

Lance: What?!?

*Narelle marches over to the TV and switches it off*

Narelle: You have watched ENOUGH TV for one day!

Lance: But it’s only 2:30pm!

Narelle: I DON’T CARE IF IT’S MIDNIGHT, I’M GOING TO BE HERE UNTIL YOU FIND A JOB BUSTER!!!

*Narelle opens the fridge to find it barely full*

Lance: Oh we ran out of milk!

Narelle: Okay! I’m going to the general store! When I come back, we’ll be having a talk! *leaves*

*Lance sighs*

(A few minutes later, Narelle returns with an armful of groceries to find Lance gone.)

Narelle: Lance? I’m back! *puts the groceries down on the table and discovers a note*

*Narelle reads the note and is shocked by it’s contents*

“If you ever want to see Lance again, pay us $500,000 so we ensure he has a safe return!”

*Narelle looks horrified*

(At 3:00am, Bette leaves a note for Bev and drives off into the distance.)

Bette: Goodbye Summer Bay.

Bev: You okay?

Kierain: Bloody mongrels at the diner! Tell Harold and Madge they can have my patronage!

Bev: Okay.

*Kierain continues to sob. Soon, they arrive at Helen’s.*

Helen: Darling? What on earth is wrong?

Kierain: Bette shot through cause of those complete idiots!

Helen: Oh there, there. *hugs Kierain tightly*

(At the Summer Bay Police Station, a frantic Narelle is talking to constable Janet Walsh.)

Narelle: LANCE IS GONE!!!

Janet: Calm down Miss Smart and tell me what happened.

Narelle: I went to the shop and when I came back he was gone.

Janet: Did you find anything peculiar upon your return?

Narelle: This. *gives Janet the note*

Janet: *reads the note* Right! We'll investigate it.

*A news item about Lance airs on Prime Local News that night.*

Jessica Beange: 20 year old Lance Smart was last seen by his cousin Narelle Smart at 2:30pm this afternoon. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers.

*Narelle starts to cry*

Narelle: I hope you're okay Lance.

(Speaking of Lance, he is in a car boot being driven to a disclosed location.)

*Lance kicks on the boot*

Lance: *muffled* Let me go!

*Lance kicks on the boot some more*

At No.26, Helen is busy trying to console Kierain.

Helen: Do you want me to get Pam?

*Kierain shakes his head and rests on her*

Helen: I love you.

*Emma Gordon walks in and sees Kierain*

Emma: What a little baby!

Lucy: SHUT UP GORDO!!!

Emma: Speaking the truth!

*Lucy grabs Emma by the hair!*

(In the kitchen, Jim and Bev talk.)

Joe: Oh yeah great job you old bat!

*everyone freezes Hilary out as Helen resumes talking*

Helen: He will be living with me from now on.

At Stockland Shopping Centre in Reefton Lakes, Kimberley and Lori, along with their friend Sophie Simpson are having ice-cream at Wendy's.

Sophie: So Lori, how’s Judy’s weight loss?

Lori: She's lost 6.4kg so far.

Sophie: EXCELLENT!!!

Kimberley: How's is going at the Lawrence Hargrave School, Sophie?

Sophie: My old man made me look dumb at parent/teacher night last night.

Lori: Sophie, you go to a school for children with emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities and behaviour problems. I think your dad was just showing off.

Sophie: He said I was a stupid retard!

Kimberley: I hate that word with a passion! How's Daryl Watson?

Sophie: He dropped me!

Lori: Oh. That's not good.

Sophie: Yeah! He dropped me for Jamie Thomas. She's got scabs on her knees!

*Sophie licks her ice cream*

Bev: Well, she had good reason. She didn't want him fighting.

Faye: I guess that's a good point. *to Hilary* YOU should be ashamed of yourself!

Madge: Agreed!

*Pam walks in*

Pam: He's upset.

Helen: I know

Faye: Maybe I can talk to him. He likes me.

Pam: Okay.

*Faye sees Kierain bawling his eyes out*

Later that afternoon, Lori and Kimberley arrive home from their day out laughing about Sophie’s schoolmate.

*Vanessa comes downstairs*

Kimberley: Sophie’s schoolmate has scabs.

Judy: *remorseful* Bette shot through after my stunt leaving Kierain behind and unfortunately Kierain didn't react well.

*all roommates glare at Jacqueline*

Jacqueline: Think about it guys. Bette was being a cow to Judy. Judy was only standing up for herself.

Lori: What did she say to you Mum?

Judy: Well…

Lori: Go on.

Judy: She was only kidding around with her jokes and I......

Lori: Were you being immature? *looks at Judy*

Judy: Well I tossed a milkshake at her.

(Jacqueline goes to 26 just to talk it over.)

Jacqueline: I'm NOT a homewrecker! Bette was making fun of Judy's weight, so when Judy walked in and overheard, Judy got upset and tipped the milkshake over her head.

Kierain: Oh you're not a homewrecker? So I just imagined Bette leaving?

Jacqueline: I feel bad that she's left, but that doesn't condone her actions towards Judy. I was bullied my whole life and I hate others that bully! I'm not sure that you understand what being bullied is like, but I sure as hell do! Think about that!

Kierain: YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A HOMEWRECKING HUSSY!!!!! YOU HAVE WRECKED MY LIFE AND YOU AS MANAGER SHOULD HAVE STOPPED JUDE FROM DOING IT!

*Joe restrains him*

*Harold too restrains him*

*everyone leaves*

Bette: Until you and Judy mature, I’m not returning and that’s the end of it. *hangs up*

*Jacqueline looks defeated*

Later that afternoon, Jacqueline decides to talk to Kierain and drives over to Faye’s house (having been told he’s there by Mrs Mangel).

*Jacqueline knocks on the door*

Jacqueline: Anyone home?

*Kierain opens the door*

Kierain: *frostily* Oh, it’s you!

Jacqueline: Can I talk to you?

*But before Kierain can say anything, Faye storms over and starts hitting Jacqueline*

Faye: HOW DARE YOU COME TO THIS HOUSE AND HASSEL KIERIAN!!! HAVEN’T YOU DONE ENOUGH DAMAGE WHEN BETTE FLED TOWN?!?

*A devastated Jacqueline gets into her car and drives off at high speed*

Faye: She won’t hurt you anymore dear. *puts her arm around Kierain*

(As Jacqueline is driving back to Summer Bay, a bus fails to give way and crashes into Jacqueline’s Mazda 323 on the side.)

Bus driver: Oh my god! *gets out of the bus to see if Jacqueline’s okay* Are you okay Miss?

*Jacqueline lays on the steering wheel*

Jacqueline: *mumbling* I’m sorry Kierain. I’m sorry Bette.
