At a shopping mall in Erinsborough West, the Willis’s are buying gifts for Kierain’s upcoming birthday.

Pam: I got him this. *shows the family a t-shirt*

Gaby: And this! *shows them a pair of joggers*

*Cody shows them a leather jacket*

Doug: Looks nice Cody. *shows them a new drum kit*

Cody: I’m sure he’ll love it.

*Brad and Adam show them several AFL gear*

Pam: He’ll like that the best. *smiles*

Adam: I guess that means we’re done picking the gifts.

Pam: Sure does.

*Pam and the family pay for their items*

(Meanwhile, Kierain is over at Denise’s.)

Denise: I know it’s a bit early, but I wanted to give you this.

Kierain: What is it?

*Denise shows him a signed AFL ball by Darren Millane*

Kierain: I’ll keep that forever. *smiles at Denise*

At the Bridgewater Apartments later that afternoon, Bette and Bev are discussing Kierain’s birthday present.

Bette: Any ideas?

Bev: Let's get him a new hat.

*Judy rolls her eyes*

Bette: What?

Judy: I've decided not to give Kierain anything for his birthday. Why? Because he doesn't deserve anything from me.

*Bette and Bev are FURIOUS!*

Bev: AND WHY NOT?

Judy: BECAUSE I'VE DECIDED NOT TO GIVE HIM ANYTHING!!! HE'S NOT MY SON NOR HIS HE MY FRIEND!!!!

Bette: Can I ask you to leave for two minutes please, Bev?

*Bev leaves*

Bette: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PLAYING AT BRYANT?!?

Kierain returns to the Willis's that night and shows them Denise's present.

Kierain: It’s the ball Darren threw in the air last year. He had it signed.

Pam: Looks neat chook.

*Todd, Bruce, Josh and Melissa enter*

Melissa: Hey Kez. Nice ball.

Kierain: Thanks. It’s last year’s grand final ball.

Josh: Not really a follower of the AFL mate. I'm mostly an NRL guy. *smiles*

Todd: Cool!

*Cody storms in looking upset*

Cody: BOWMAN has just insulted me about my looks!

Kierain: Ignore her.

Cody: She's also been insulting Darren, saying that he was a drug user.

Kierain: WHAT?!? *dials Julia* Mrs Bowman?

Julia: Speaking?

Kierain: Meg insulted Cody AND said Darren abused drugs!

Julia: Did she now?

Kierain: Yep!

Doug: Faye?

Faye: Yes Dougie?

Doug: Thank you for taking care of Kierain.

Faye: You're welcome. *smiles*

(At the Bowmans, Julia is crying to Meg.)

Meg: Mum?

*Julia continues to cry while speaking*

Meg: SO I HATE COLLINGWOOD!!!

Julia: I don't understand why you are being like this Meg.

*Meg deliberately smokes a cigarette in front of Julia*

Bette: *lying* Nothing.

Kierain: Okay.

(At Bette’s apartment, Bev is questioning her about Kierain.)

Bev: Why didn’t you tell him?

Bette: I didn't want him to know.

Bev: Why?

Bette: DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU?!? *heads into her bedroom*

Back at No.28, Kathy and Pam talk.

Kathy: What do you think of Todd and Josh? I don't trust them one bit.

Pam: Why?

Kathy: I just don't.

Pam: Kathy…

*Kathy opens up*

Kathy: I just don't trust them because they do stupid things.

*Kierain hears that*

Kierain: I do dumb things too Aunt Kathy. Like the time I crashed into a semi.

Kathy: Twice.

*Pam shoots Kathy a look*

Kathy: What?

Pam: Go see Cody chook. I want a word with Kathy.

*Kierain leaves*

Pam: Kathy, there’s something you need to know.

Kathy: Oh and what's that?

Pam: Kierain nearly died both those times you see...

Kathy: Oh.

(Kierain is in Faye’s room as Cody wouldn’t let him in hers due to his presents being in there.)

Kierain: Why is Cody acting strange?

Faye: I think your birthday presents are in there.

*Kierain hugs Faye, who looks at him*

*Flashback to Pippa rejecting Kierain's hug*

Kierain: Why did Enid hate me? I wanna know.

*Flashback to Faye Pam and Doug*

Pam: You mean Kierain?

Faye: Yes! Tell me all.

Pam: Well, he's a young boy that has CP and has had a hard life thanks to his foster father Tom Fletcher.

Faye: CP?

Doug: Cerebral Palsy.

*Faye looks sad*

Faye: About his life?

Pam: He doesn't get hugged, he has to fend for himself and he wets the bed from time to time. I remember when Tom literally screamed at Kierain when he wet the bed when I came to visit one day. Kierain was bawling his eyes out.

Faye: What did you do?

Pam: I hugged him. Oh, and that dreaded Rosie Cartwright! She used to choke Kierain!

*Flashback to Rosie choking Kierain*

*Kierain shoves her off*

Faye: And fend for himself? Meaning?

Pam: He would have to do things himself. I remember when Tom made him drink chilli sauce.

Faye: And WHY was he playing with a broken right hand? BEVERLY should intervene!

Doug: She tried to, but he insisted on playing on because he wanted to be like Darren Millane.

Faye: Oh.

*end flashback*

Josh is trying to decide on what to get Kierain for his birthday.

Josh: Todd mate?

Todd: Yes Anderson?

Josh: What can I get Kenny?

Todd: Don't know. It's up to you.

Josh: But I can’t decide.

Lucy: You could always get him One Direction tickets. *laughs*

Todd: For the last time Luce, NO!!!

Lucy: Why not? Josh got them for his friend.

*Lucy stomps off as Josh's phone goes off*

*Josh looks out the window and sees Lee waving*

Todd: *with jealously in his voice* Josh is a great friend you know Lee.

*Lee looks uncomfortable, so Josh tries to bring the peace*

Josh: Lee, Todd’s a nice guy.

Lee: Sure is.

*Lucy sees Lee*

Lucy: *sarcastically* Oh hi.

Lee: Lucy right?

Lucy: So?

*Josh looks embarrassed*

*Kierain coos*

Flashback to Kierain being anxious that Pam is leaving him with Faye.

Faye: You'll be fine.

*Kierain backs away*

Faye: What's with you?

Pam: He has a hard time trusting new people. It’s not that he hates you.

Faye: Why?

Pam: Because of how he was betrayed by Tom and Pippa.

The next day (Wednesday), Lee is throwing the ball around with Josh and Todd.

Lee: So, do you still miss Misty?

Josh: Of course I do. She’s my best friend.

Josh: Tell her I’ll be down to visit her when the school holidays come.

Lee: I’m sure she’d like that.

*Josh smiles*

*Todd looks annoyed*

*Todd throws the ball at Lee which hits him in the face.*

Lucy: Come on Lee. Let’s get you cleaned up. *takes Lee back into the house*

Josh: Mate, don’t play me for a sucker! You deliberately threw it in Lee’s face out of jealously.

Todd: I’m not jealous!

(At the Willis’s, Cody is trying on a purple dress she bought at Gaby’s Boutique.)

Cody: *to herself* Fits perfectly.

*Gaby enters the bedroom*

Cody: I’m taking Kez out for dinner. A special dinner just the two of us.

Gaby: Where are you going?

Cody: We’re thinking of having it right here.

Gaby: Sounds great. *smiles*

Cody: All I need is for you guys to leave the house.

Gaby: We’ll go to the movies or something.

*Cody smiles*

Lucy has just finished cleaning Lee up when Todd enters the house.

Todd: Will you just listen to me for a moment?

Todd: But it was an accident!

Josh: Stop using that as an excuse Landers!

Todd: I thought we were mates Josh. I guess I was wrong.

Josh: No mate! You’re the one that blew it by being a jerk to Lee in the first place.

*Todd and Josh jump up*

Lee: If my visit here is ruining the friendship between you guys, then I apologise. I’ll be gone in the morning. *heads into the guest room*

Lucy: Amateurs! *storms off after Lee*

Josh: No mate, I’m sorry.

*they shake hands*

(That night, Kierain and Cody are having their special dinner together.)

Kierain: Where are Pam and all that?

Cody: They went to the movies.

Cody: I can’t believe it’s your birthday tomorrow.

Cody: Did you like the dinner I made for us?

Kierain: Love it!

*Cody smiles*

*When the dinner is over, Kierain and Cody start dancing to slow music.*

That night, the Willis’s go out for the evening. “Enid” (actually Bea in disguise) is pretending to be asleep.

Pam: It’s a good thing that no good Enid doesn’t come. She’s nothing but trouble.

*Pam and Doug leave the house*

Bea: Now time to steal the jewellery!

*Bea heads into Pam and Doug’s bedroom, where she steals all of Pam’s jewellery.*

Helen: Lee, why didn’t you go ice-skating with Todd?

Lee: I’m going back to Summer Bay tomorrow anyway. So, it doesn’t really matter.

The next day (Saturday), Kerry is having a go at Lance about his treatment towards Narelle.

At the Blaxland Mansion, Judy has just gotten off the weight scale and is clearly sad.

Grace: What’s the matter, Jude?

Judy: I just finished weighing myself. And guess how much I weigh?

Vanessa: How?

Judy: 103.7kg.

Grace: Well, that’s not bad.

Judy: Yes, it is Grace. I’m sick of being overweight. That’s why I’ve decided to lose weight. Not just for myself, but I want to improve my confidence.

Vanessa: We’ll support you all the way, Judy.

*Judy decides to talk about her decision to lose weight to all the other roomies*

David: Good luck.

Jillian: I know you can do it.

Adrian: Yeah.

Reiko: Don’t train yourself too hard. Good luck.

Jacqueline: You have our full support.

Kimberley: I can’t wait to see the end result! I’ll help you get a makeover too.

Judy: Oh thanks guys. You’re the best friends I could ever ask for.

*Vanessa turns on the radio to hear a news update on Mars FM*

Caitlin Street: It’s 10 o’clock. Good morning, I’m Caitlin Street. A new twist in the Yabbie Creek house fire with a 17 year-old girl charged with arson after telling police that she framed the girl police originally arrested. Rebecca Macey is accused of setting the home of Lori Bryant and her mother Judy on fire almost two weeks ago. Ms Macey told police that she framed Lori in an attempt to get away with arson. All charges against Lori have been dropped.

*Judy looks stunned*

That afternoon, Lori arrives at the Blaxland Mansion having been picked up from Judy.

Lori: Is this our new home? Cool!

Judy: I’d like you to meet Jacqueline Forsyth, David Foley, Grace Moran, Adrian Valiente, Vanessa Freeman, Jillian Corkery, Reiko Summers and Kimberley Joseph.

Roomies: Hey Lori.

Lori: Hey everyone. *to Kimberley* Are you THE Kimberley Joseph?

Kimberley: Absolutely. *smiles*

Lori: You are so awesome! I think you and I will become like sisters!

Kimberley: I like that! Your mum already sees me as a daughter.

Judy: Which reminds me, can you guys give me and Lori some privacy please? I want to talk to her alone.

*The roomies all leave the living room*

Lori: What did you want to talk about Mum?

Judy: I just want to say that I’m really sorry for accusing you of setting our old home on fire. If only I had known Rebecca Macey had set you up.

Lori: It’s okay Mum. I don’t hate you. You were upset.

Judy: I know, but I still feel guilty about it.

Lori: So, what’s new with you?

Judy: I’ve decided to lose weight.

Lori: Good on you!

Judy: And I’ve also been making new friends.

Lori: That’s nice Mum. I’m really happy for you. *smiles*

*Judy smiles back*

(Over at Helen’s, Todd and Lee are being mediated by her.)

Helen: I don’t see why the two of you can’t get along. You guys are both friends with Josh.

Lee: True, but Todd hates me for who I am!

Todd: I didn’t mean it like that mate. It just came out.

Helen: Regardless Todd, I think this whole fight is silly and I want you to apologise to Lee.

Todd: Sorry mate. I was just jealous at how close you are with Josh.

Lee: Well, I can go return to Summer Bay now that we’ve made amends buddy. *smiles*

Todd: Friends?

Lee: Sure.

*they shake hands*

That night, Kierain is showing the Willis’s his signed Bachelor Girl album.

Kierain: Look what Faye got for me.

Brad: Ace!

Gaby: Looks good!

Pam: That was nice of Faye to do that.

Kierain: Sure was.

Cody: Just don’t play it. Keep it in mint condition.

Doug: Helen wanted to see you by the way.

Kierain: Really? I best be on my way to see her then. *gives the album to Cody* Mind it while I spend time with the surrogate Gran.

*Kierain heads to Helen’s*

Lori: AND! I’m going to enrol at Yabbie Creek TAFE on Monday, so I can start my course next semester.

Kimberley: Studying what?

Lori: Certificate I in Retail Services.

Kimberley: I’m sure you’ll get in. Seeing as next week is the last week of Term 2 for school and TAFE students.

Lori: Thanks Kimmy!

The next day (Sunday), Judy begins her weight loss journey by eating a healthy breakfast.

Jacqueline: Already into the Kellogg’s Just Right, Judy?

Judy: Of course! Then after breakfast, I plan on doing an hour on the treadmill and two hours cardio work at the surf club gym.

David: You’ll be looking smoking hot soon Miss Bryant!

Grace: David! *to Judy* Don’t listen to him.

Judy: I think he gave a great compliment there Grace. *smiles*

*Judy finishes her Just Right cereal in a hurry*

Judy: Well, I’m going to go on the treadmill! Wish me luck!

Roomies and Lori: We will!

*Judy heads upstairs*

(Over at Judith’s, she has just finished having breakfast with Misty.)

Judith: Sad that Josh had to return home?

Misty: A little, but not as sad as the last time.

Judith: I’m sure you’ll pull through okay Misty. *puts her arm around Misty*

*the phone rings*

Judith: I’ll get that. Hello? Oh, hello Nan! How are you? I’m good. I’m good. Dad says that you wanted to tell me something. What was that? You want me to live with you? I’ll have to think about it. Okay. Love you lots Nan. Talk to you later. Bye. *hangs up the phone*

Misty: Who was that?

Judith: That was my Nan. She wants me to live with her in Coffs Harbour.

Misty: And are you?

Judith: I want you to come with me.

Misty: Well, to be honest Judith, I don’t want to leave.

Judith: You don’t?

Misty: You’ve been great, but I really don’t want to leave my friends and it’s going to effect my schooling.

Judith: You’re in Year 8.

Misty: I know, but I don’t want to leave Summer Bay. And I also don’t want to leave you.

Judith: I respect your decision.

Misty: I’m sorry.

Judith: Don’t be sister! I’m going to ring Kerry right now to see if she can let you live with the rest of the Fletchers.

*Judith rings Kerry. After hanging up, Judith turns to face Misty.*

Judith: It’s all settled. You’ll be living with Kerry and Peter as soon I move to Coffs Harbour.

Misty: When are you leaving?

Judith: This Thursday.

Misty: We’ll have to make your final days be extra special!

*Judith hugs Misty tight*

The next day (Tuesday), Jim visits Helen, Scott and Charlene in hospital.

Jim: OH MY GOD! WHAT HAPPENED?

Helen: We were on our way home when suddenly the brakes failed.

Jim: I blame myself for this!

Scott: Why?

Jim: If only I didn't have to work that day!

Helen: Kierain…

Charlene: What about Kierain?

Helen: I left him alone. I said I’d be straight back.

Charlene: Oh no. I sure hope he's fine.

*Jim, Helen and Scott look unsure*

(At the surf club, Irene is introducing herself to Judith and Fliss.)

Irene: G’day loves!

Judith: Hello there. You new in town?

Irene: Sure am.

Fliss: What's your name sweetie?

Irene: Irene Roberts.

Judith: I'm Judith Staples and this is Felicity Sidebotham aka Fliss!

*Irene immediately recognises Fliss*

(At the hospital, Helen is clearly fretting about Kierain.)

Charlene: Why wouldn’t he be?

Helen: I said I'd come straight back.

*Jim enters their room*

Jim: That was Faye. She's taken Kierain to her place.

Scott: Who?

Jim: You and Charlene don't know her, Scott. *to Helen* He's in good hands with her.

Jim: Faye knows that you're in hospital and she isn't going to hold it against you.

Helen: But Jim you saw how he reacted when young Darren....

(At Faye’s, Kierain is panicking.)

*Faye rushes over*

Faye: Helen's in hospital. She had an accident on her way home from picking Charlotte and Scotty up.

At Summer Bay High, Karen is hanging out with Viv, Leanne and Heather in the quadrangle.

Karen: Friday is going to be my last day at Summer Bay High because on Sunday, I'm moving to Newcastle. My dad got a job transfer there.

Karen: That's right. We're moving to Newcastle.

*Samuelu hears this as he approaches the girls*

Karen: Sami! Oh, it's going to be hard to say this, but I'm moving to Newcastle on Sunday.

*Nick Parrish happens to hear this*

Kierain: Now onto happier news. It's finals time again and I have no injury this year.

Charlene: *rolling her eyes* That's great.

Charlene: What? I hope Erinsborough win this year!

Kierain: Ummmm, I don't think that'll happen because Eden Hills play you this week.
