On Monday morning, the Fletchers go to Tom’s funeral.

Georgina: I still can’t believe Kierain isn’t going to the funeral.

Ruth: I can. He’s selfish. I never did like Kierain, to be honest. I only put up with him for Lil’s sake.

Samuelu: Just drop it okay! We all know why Kierain isn’t going. So just drop it!

Ruth: All right, all right.

Cody: Tom never loved us anyway.

Fliss: No, he only pretended to.

Rhonda: That’s right.

Ruth: I’m sitting with Carly.

Colette: Suit yourself then!

*Ruth sits with Carly and whispers something*

Steven: The nerve of her showing up!

Geri: Yeah. She was Tom’s favourite! I’m surprised Bobby isn’t here.

Kellie: I wouldn’t want her there either. Bitch!

Lil: The priest is getting on the stage now.

*The priest gets on the stage*

Priest: We are here to farewell Thomas Fletcher. Beloved wife of Lillian and caring foster father.

Samuelu: NO CARING FOSTER FATHER OF US!!!

*Rhonda slaps Carly and an all-out brawl erupts among the siblings*

Lil: STOP IT!!! STOP IT!!! THIS IS THOMAS’S FUNERAL AND YOU’RE RUINING IT!!!

*The siblings commence brawling with each other*

(After the funeral, Lil is screaming at Kierain outside the Bridgewater Apartments.)

Lil: THANKS TO YOU, YOUR FOSTER SIBLINGS RUINED THE FUNERAL!!!

Kierain: OH?!? AND HOW IS THAT MY FAULT?!?

Lil: YOU CAUSED IT YOU HORRIBLE NUISANCE!!!

Kierain: AND WHO’S ON YOUR SIDE NOW LILLIAN?!?

Lil: RUTH, CARLY, BOBBY, SALLY and FRANK!!! THE OTHERS ARE ALL UP YOUR BACKSIDE!!!

KIERAIN: NO, THEY AREN’T! THEY CARE ABOUT ME THAT’S WHY!!!

LIL: YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN BECAUSE YOU ARE BANNED FROM THE HOUSE!!! *storms off*

*Kierain storms back inside*

Kierain: Bette? Drive me to Helen’s please.

Bette: Why?

Kierain: I’m staying there for a few days.

Bette: Okay honey.

When Kierain arrives at Helen’s, he is more or less in tears.

Helen: Darling, what’s wrong?

Kierain: Lil just turned on me. She wanted me to suffer because I wouldn’t go to Tom’s funeral.

Helen: Oh come here.

*Kierain and Helen hug*

Helen: Come into the lounge room. *sits Kierain down on the lounge*

Kierain: I’m just over them! I’M OVER THEM!!!

Helen: Calm down darling. I’m your surrogate Gran. You can tell me anything.

Kierain: I want to know one thing.

Helen: What’s that?

Kierain: How did you get my trust?

Helen: Well, you see…

*Flashback to Helen comforting Kierain after his argument with Julie.*

Helen: Don’t worry about Julie. She’s just being an immature brat.

Kierain: Sorry I stormed off.

Helen: Perfectly understandable.

Kierain: You know what Mrs. Daniels?

Helen: What’s that darling?

Kierain: I wish you were my Gran.

Helen: *smiling* I could be a surrogate Gran to you. How does that sound?

Kierain: That’d be ace.

*Helen and Kierain hug*

(At the Fletchers, Lil has had enough and is packing her bags.)

Steven: We are you going Lil?

Lil: AWAY FROM THIS DUMP!!!

Lil: BECAUSE I’M SICK OF HAVING TO PUT UP WITH IMMATURE CHILDREN LIKE YOU!!!! MY TWO SONS NEVER ACTED LIKE THIS!!! IN FACT, PRISON LIFE WAS BETTER FOR ME!

Steven: So, you’re just going to up and leave?

Lil: YES! I’m selling the house too, so you don’t have to worry!

*Steven is stunned*

Lil: THAT’S RIGHT! I’M SELLING THIS HOUSE AND NOT HAVING ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU NEEDY KIDS, THIS STUPID TOWN AND THE HOPELESS LOCALS!!! I’M DONE!!!

At the diner that afternoon, Kimberley is having a milkshake when she sees some Summer Bay High students enter, having finished school for the day.

Kimberley: Hey.

*Viv, Karen, Tracey and Leanne look at Kimberley*

Viv: Yes?

Kimberley: I'm new to the Bay and I just wanted to say hello. I'm Kimberley Joseph. What are your names?

Viv: NO WAY!

Tracey: Awesome!

Karen: My boyfriend IDOLISES you!

Kimberley: Who’s he then?

Karen: Samuelu Luisi. But everyone calls him Sami or Sam.

Kimberley: So, what are you're names?

Leanne: I’m Leanne Morgan and these are my friends Viv Newton, Steven Matheson, Tracey Bright and Karen Fischer.

Kimberley: What's your girlfriend's name Steven?

Steven: Alice Goncalves.

Kimberley: Cool.

*Alice, Tiago and Heather enter*

Heather: I love you Tiago.

Tiago: Love you too.

*Alice notices Kimberley and becomes star struck*

Heather: Did you have a seminar down at the youth centre last weekend?

*The teens sit with Kimberley*

(At the Fletchers, Ruth is crying on the sofa.)

Geri: What's wrong Ruth?

Ruth: I WANT OUT!

Geri: *shocked* Why?

Ruth: Ever since Kierain left, it's been one thing after another. I'm SICK of it!

Geri: Well, half of the things weren't Kez's fault. It was all Tom.

Ruth: I know. I still want to find another home though.

*The siblings all enter*

Samuelu: Ruth?

Ruth: I've decided to leave. I'm going to phone Miss Dohnal and tell her to find me a different home. It's not that I don't love you guys, it's just that I'm sick of the drama and it's making me quite ill. I'm sorry if this has come as a shock to you all.

*The siblings respect her decision*

Rhonda: We understand.

*everyone hugs her*

(Lucy returns home in a bad mood.)

Lucy: STUPID JOSH!!!

Glen: Luce?

Lucy: I swear him, Todd and Bruce put together would be a NIGHTMARE!!! *growls*

Helen: Lucy quiet!

Lucy: Why?

Helen: Kierain is asleep.

Lucy: Oh okay. How is he Gran?

Helen: Not good.

That night, Kerry arrives at the Fletchers with some good news.

Colette: Hey Aunt Kerry. I suppose you heard about LILLIAN ditching us!

Kerry: Yes.

Garry: So, what's the good news Aunt Kerry?

Kerry: I bought this place.

Heather: How did you...

Kerry: With my savings.

Georgina: But what about Peter and your foster family in Newcastle?

Kerry: They'll be moving here. They'll arrive on Saturday.

*the siblings are touched by Kerry's move*

Cody: Thank you so much Aunt Kerry for letting us stay in our home.

*they all hug her*

(At Number 26, a family meeting is underway.)

Jim: Why have you called this meeting Helen?

Helen: Kierain is here.

Jim: Right.

Helen: By the sound of it, none of his family want him.

Lucy: What about Bette?

Helen: I meant his siblings.

Lucy: I want names. Now!

Jim: Lucy…

Lucy: No Dad! I hate seeing Kierain upset! I want the names of the siblings who picked on him!

Glen: Luce leave it.

Lucy: No!

*Helen relents*

Helen: Here. *gives her a list*

Lucy: Carly Morris, Bobby Simpson and Frank Morgan! Only one problem, Carly's in Western Australia so I can't contact her.

Todd: *sarcastically* Ever heard of a phone Lucy?

*Kierain comes in from uni while Lucy and Todd bicker*

Kierain: *loudly* I'm back!

Todd: Did you see that gorgeous Meg?

Kierain: No, I was at university.

Lucy: What are you studying at uni?

Kierain: Music. What are you doing anyway?

Lucy: Todd and I were just arguing as usual. *laughs weakly as her mobile phone goes off*

Kierain: You're ringing.

*Kierain joins Helen in the kitchen*

Helen: How was university today?

Kierain: Good. I’m getting really good at soundproofing. What's Lucy doing?

Helen: She's on her way to see Gemma. Darling, Cody called while you were at university.

Kierain: What’d she say?

Helen: She was wondering if you wanted to hang out with her, Bruce, Meg, Todd and Melissa tomorrow at the Coffee Shop.

Kierain: That sounds fine. Oh that reminds me. This came in the mail. It looks like Rosemary's in town.

Helen: Thank you darling. *takes the letter*

(The next day [Tuesday], Bette and Bev are shopping in Reefton Lakes.)

Bette: Bev, I’m scared.

Bev: Of what?

Bette: Kierain could go off the rails.

Bev: Don't be silly. He's with Helen. I'm sure he'll be fine.

*They walk into American Nails*

Bette: My treat.

Bev: I've never had a female friend that took me shopping.

Bette: Never?

Bev: Never.

*After getting their nails done, they head into Millers*

Bette: I need new pants because of CARLY!

Bev: Did her fat a*** break them? *laughs*

*Bette giggles. While they come out, they see Hilary.*

Bette: *sarcastically* How lovely to see you Hilary.

Hilary: Bette.

Bev: What brings you to Reefton Lakes, Hairy...I mean Hilary.

*Some Reefton Lakes Grammar School students walk past and laugh at what Bev called Hilary*

Hilary: GET!

At the coffee shop, Cody, Bruce, Todd, Meg and Kierain hang out.

Cody: Melissa's late!

Kierain: I saw her talking to that Josh guy.

Meg: He's such a creep. He's always in your face.

*Melissa enters*

Melissa: Hey everyone.

Cody: Hey.

Meg: So as I was saying, that Josh Anderson guy is such a creep. He's always in your face and never leaves you alone. So annoying!

Todd: I like him.

Meg: Well good for you. He thinks he's all that and a packet of Pringles.

Cody: He looks good.

Kierain: AYE!

Cody: Sorry.

Meg: Well, I think he's a womaniser! Wannabe Mr Popular!

*Bruce has had enough of Meg's nonsense*

Bruce: FOR GOD SAKE MEG!!! JUST CAUSE YOU'RE DYING DON'T SLAG PEOPLE OFF!!!

*Kierain grabs Bruce by the collar. Bruce looks scared*

Kierain: Wanna hassle people with conditions?! Then hassle ME!

Madge: RIGHT YOU LOT!!! GET OUT!!!

*the group leave*

(At Number 26, Rosemary arrives.)

Rosemary: Anyone here?

*Kierain comes in*

Rosemary: Oh it's YOU!

Helen: ROSEMARY DANIELS!

Rosemary: Hi Mum. *to Kierain* Run along now urchin!

Kierain: *scoffs* The HELL with this! *leaves*

*Helen is MAD at Rosemary*

Helen: GET OUT!!! YOU HAVEN'T CHANGED TWO YEARS AGO AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T CHANGED NOW!!!

*Rosemary leaves*

(When Ruth returns home from school that afternoon, she is packing her bags. She is being sent to live with a foster family up at Gosford.)

Kerry: Ruth?

Ruth: Miss Dohnal found me another foster home. I'm going to live on the NSW Central Coast. Gosford I think was the name of the suburb. I'll miss all my friends and family here.

Kerry: Will you write?

Ruth: Of course I will. I just want to say Aunt Kerry that you're a great foster Mum. A GENUINE foster mother that relates to young people. You're also a good mate as well as Mum.

Kerry: Oh Ruth.

*a car toots it's horn*

Ruth: I guess this is goodbye.

*Ruth and Kerry hug*

Kerry: Bye Ruth. Take care.

*As Ruth heads downstairs, she is met by a tearful Fliss.*

Fliss: Ruth?

Ruth: I feel like the Sleepover Club is drifting apart again.

Fliss: Never! We have video phone now!

Ruth: And mobile phones and Facebook! Good luck with your modelling career.

Fliss: Thanks. *they hug*

(Helen finds Kierain on the fence.)

Helen: Rosemary's been sent away darling.

Kierain: What’s her problem?

Helen: She's always had it out for you. I don't know why!

*Kierain gets off the fence and hugs Helen*

Kierain: Life blows.

*From a distance, they hear Meg and Melissa talking.*

Meg: That Anderson creep tried to add me on Bebo!

Melissa: The hell got into Kez! I’ve NEVER seen him do that!

Meg: He sure has a lot of anger issues.

Melissa: What did he do to Boof?

Meg: Threatened to stab him.

*Melissa gasps*

Melissa: Is this what a broken home does?

Meg: Who knows? Who cares?

Helen: *angrily* GIRLS!

Meg: *sarcastically* What is it now you old biddy?

Melissa: Meg....

Helen: KIERAIN MAY BE AGGRESSIVE BUT I'VE NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM, NOR PAM, NOR BETTE!

Meg: Whatever Granny! Kierain is nothing but a pain in the neck just like Josh Anderson and Todd Landers!

Melissa: THOSE ARE MY FRIENDS YOU JUST SLAGGED OFF!!!

*Meg storms off*

(we see Kierain going down the street when he sees Rosemary all covered in blood.)

Kierain: Rosemary?!

*Rosemary takes his hand*

Rosemary: I...was...robbed.

Kierain: Oh Jesus! Help!

*Todd and Cody race over to Kierain*

Cody: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!?

Kierain: She was mugged! *to Todd* Call an ambulance!!!

*Todd dials 000 on his iPhone*

Todd: The ambulance is on its way.

Later that afternoon, Judy is driving home from her shift at the diner when she sees her house on fire.

Judy: No!

*Judy rushes out of her car and sees the firefighters trying to save the house, but it's too late.*

That night, Meg refuses to eat any dinner.

Julia: What is going on Meg?

Meg: *snappish* Nothing!

Julia: I want to know why you didn’t hand in your Science homework?

Meg: Because I FORGOT, okay?

Julia: So, are you enjoying it at Erinsborough High?

Meg: No! There’s this creep that keeps hassling me and Cody Willis’s group are a bunch of fake losers!

Julia: Josh Anderson is far from a creep, Meg! He’s a very nice boy.

*Meg just rolls her eyes*

Meg: Whatever you say Mum. He tried adding me on Bebo like three times.

Julia: He just wants to be friends Meg!

Meg: WELL, MAYBE I’M SICK OF PEOPLE JUMPING DOWN MY THROAT 24/7!!! I DON’T NEED FRIENDS!!!

Julia: For starters young lady, you can drop the attitude! I don’t understand what has gotten into you, but I will not tolerate this sort of behaviour from you. Now, get to your room and stay there for the rest of the evening!

Meg: Fine then! *storms into her bedroom and slams the door*

*Julia sighs*

(At Helen’s, Rosemary is bonding with Kierain.)

Rosemary: Thanks for saving me.

Kierain: No worries. *smiles*

Rosemary: I was wrong about you. If only I didn’t listen to Hilary, I probably would’ve got along with you.

Kierain: WHAT did Hilary say?!?

*Rosemary tells Kierain everything*

Kierain: I wouldn’t worry about her. She’s just an interfering old bat!

Rosemary: That’s right. I wasted my friendship on her when I could’ve made new friends.

Kierain: You mean me?

Rosemary: Of course I mean you love.

*Kierain smiles*

Rosemary: Would you like a hug?

*Kierain nods*

Rosemary: Then come have one precious.

*Kierain hugs Rosemary*

The next day (Wednesday), Kimberley is on the phone to one of her friends.

Kimberley: So, how’s things with you? Oh, that’s wonderful. I just moved to Summer Bay last weekend. I’m living with my cousin and her friends/roommates. Well, I hope to catch up with you when I return to the Gold Coast. You take care now. Goodbye. *hangs up the phone as Jacqueline walks in*

Jacqueline: Who was that?

Kimberley: One of my old friends from the Gold Coast.

Jacqueline: Nice.

Kimberley: I just want to say thanks for letting me live here with you.

Jacqueline: Don’t thank me. Thank your cousin who suggested the idea to me.

Kimberley: I will. Where is Reiko by the way?

Jacqueline: She’s filming her show.

Kimberley: Oh.

Jacqueline: I’m thinking of buying the Bayside Diner.

Kimberley: Can you afford it though?

Jacqueline: Of course. I’ve still got plenty of money in my bank account.

Grace: *entering the living room* There’s only one problem with that Jackie.

Jacqueline: And what’s that?

Grace: Bobby’s still got half of it.

Jacqueline: Oh yeah? Well, her loss.

*Kimberley laughs*

Grace: It would be. *smiles*

Jacqueline: So, that’s why I’m going to go ahead with it.

Grace: That’s good. *smiles*

Kimberley: I hope to make more friends here.

Grace: You will Kimberley. I’m sure of it.

Kimberley: Thanks Gracie. *smiles*

(At Doug and Pam’s, Kierain is waiting for Cody to come home from school when someone knocks at the door.)

Pam: I’ll get that chook. *opens the door to find Denise, Sean and John standing there* What a lovely surprise.

Denise: Is Kierain around? Helen Daniels said he was here.

Pam: He sure is.

*Kierain wheels over to Denise*

Kierain: What brings you lot here? I’m so happy to see you all.

Sean: We wanted to give you this mate. *hands Kierain a package*

Kierain: What is it?

John: Open it and see. *smiles*

*Kierain rips open the package to find a framed Collingwood jersey*

Kierain: Is this what I think it is?

Denise: Sure is love. It’s Darren’s premiership jersey.

Kierain: Don’t you guys want it though?

Sean: No. It’s all yours. *smiles*

*Kierain starts to cry*

The next day (Thursday), Dharma arrives at Summer Bay High for her first day as the school secretary.

*Lois sees Dharma*

Lois: Dharma Montgomery is it?

Dharma: That’s me.

Lois: Hi, I’m Lois Crawford, deputy principal of Summer Bay High.

Dharma: Pleasure to meet you. *shakes Lois’s hand*

Lois: Mr Fisher will be here shortly. He’s the principal of the school.

Dharma: I met him already.

Lois: That’s lovely. Well, Miss Montgomery. Your job is to take phone calls, schedule meetings and typing on the computer. Are you any good at multi-tasking?

Dharma: Indeed I am. *smiles*

Lois: Well, I better leave you to it. I’ll pop by during the day to see how you’re going. *leaves*

*Dharma enters the office and sits on the computer*

Dharma: *to herself* Hope it goes well.

(Meanwhile, Kimberley is at the surf club practicing on her boxing skills when the Mahoney twins approach her.)

Tara/Val: KIMBERLEY!!!

*Kimberley stops boxing and looks at the twins*

Kimberley: Hi there. *smiles*

Tara: It’s such a pleasure to meet you. You’re like our favourite TV personality.

Kimberley: Thank you so much. What are your names?

Val: I’m Val Mahoney and this my twin sister Tara. Obviously, we’re twins because we look the same.

Kimberley: What’s Val short for?

Val: Valerie. A word of advice, don’t call me Valerie. I HATE being called that.

Tara: I do it just to annoy her. *laughs*

Val: Shut up Tara. *to Kimberley* Made any friends so far?

Kimberley: Oh yes. But I want to make more. Life’s boring without any friends, you know.

Val: Tell me about it.

Tara: We better head off to school. It was a pleasure meeting you Kimberley.

Kimberley: Same here. I’ll be sure to catch up with you real soon.

Val: Have fun with your boxing. *smiles before her and Tara leave*

(Later that morning, Jacqueline arrives at the diner.)

Ailsa: Hello Jacqueline, what can I do for you?

Jacqueline: I hear you’re selling the diner.

Ailsa: Yes I am. I spoke to Bobby and she’s going to sell as well.

Kerry: I’m sending the remaining of your stuff over to Perth. As far as I’m concerned, you’re no longer welcome in this house.

Carly: And why is that?

Kerry: Because ever since you started dating Ben Lucini, you’ve turned into a nasty little bitch!

Carly: Is that so?

Kerry: Yes!

Carly: Well, let me just say that Kierain Geaney has ruined this whole family by being an absolute jerk!

In her office after school, Dorothy is on the phone to Julia.

Dorothy: I have had Josh Anderson crying his eyes out and Debbie Langford on the verge of dropping out because of your daughter!!!

Julia: DETAILS!!!

Dorothy: She said that Josh was a creep and that he only wanted to date girls for one thing and one thing only. She said that Todd was a thief and warns the students to watch their wallets and personal items. She said that Melissa was a loser that lacked talent. She said that Debbie was abusing drugs. She said that Bruce was a four-eyed monster. BUT WORST OF ALL! She said that Cody was dating a wheelie bin and that Kierain can't walk properly and is treated like a baby!

Julia: Thank you Dorothy. Tell Josh and the others I’m sorry.

Dorothy: Will do Mrs Bowman. *hangs up*

(At the diner, Alex is flirting with Amy.)

(At the guesthouse, Pam looks over Kierain.)

Kierain: I’m itchy.

Faye: I WANTED TO DO THAT! *looks put out*
