*On Saturday Kierain and Denise are going to see Collingwood play Fitzroy*

Denise: excited love?

Kierain you bet Collingwood will eat Fitzroy for breakfast lunch and maybe dinner too

Denise: I’m a little surprised that Terrence Keayes is playing today

Kierain: why?

Denise: injured calf dear

Kierain: damn! And I thought I was tough playing with a broken hand

Denise: nothing will surpass what you did last year *hugs him*

*as the game wears on Collingwood appear to be crushing Fitzroy*

Kierain: look at Eddie over there with his cheesy grin

*Denise looks over at Eddie*

Denise: someone will be drunk tonight

Kierain: yeah Eddie

*Denise smiles*

Kierain: say Darren hasn’t done much

Denise: no need love look at the score

Kierain: good point *smiles*

*After the game (Collingwood won by 130 points) Denise takes Kierain to Red Rooster*

Denise: Happy?

Kierain: yeah you’re nice

Denise: thank you

Kierain: I love you too

*when they get home they find Blanche Deveraux (Kierain’s favorite Aunt on Tom’s side waiting*

The next day (Sunday), Blanche decides to spend time with Kierain and give Denise the day off.

Denise: Are you sure?

Blanche: Of course honey.

Denise: Well, I wanted to get my nails done for months. I guess I could do that.

Blanche: Go ahead honey. Have fun.

*Denise leaves*

Blanche: I haven’t seen you in AGES darling! How have you been?

Kierain: You really want to know?

Blanche: *looks concerned* Something wrong?

*Kierain explains everything to Blanche*

Blanche: And you say Pippa’s in prison because of what she did to you?

*Kierain nods*

Blanche: I knew that lady was trouble! Tom didn’t help matters either. And is the brat still around?

Kierain: Trust me Aunt Blanche. She’s still trouble.

Blanche: How about the others? I hear you got some new ones.

Kierain: They’re all right. Carly can still be selfish at times.

Blanche: You don’t say! Now, would you like a hug?

*Kierain nods*

Blanche: Come here. *hugs Kierain*

(At a nail salon in Frankston, Denise and her friend Rachel Palmer are talking and laughing.)

Denise: That boy is so sweet. It’s a shame about his former foster parents though.

Rachel: What about them, Denise?

Denise: You haven’t heard, Rachel?

Rachel: No, but do tell.

*Denise explains Kierain’s life story to Rachel*

Rachel: OMG! That poor boy!

Denise: The new foster mother is sweet though.

Rachel: But I thought he was living with Bette.

Denise: He is. I was referring to Lillian Stokes.

Rachel: Oh right.

*Denise and Rachel are continuing to get their nails done*

Over at Denise’s, Blanche is hugging Kierain while on the phone with Rose.

Blanche: LISTEN ROSE!!!! MY BABY NEPHEW IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE AIR CONDITIONER!!!! OH RIGHT! *slams the phone down*

Kierain: What’s with your friend Rose?

Blanche: She’s just mad because I’m spending time with you and I’m not doing anything about the air conditioner being broken.

Kierain: She’ll just have to get used to it.

Blanche: I know.

Kierain: Rose and Dorothy have never liked me have they? Remember when I stayed over for a week? When was it? Four years ago?

Blanche: Yes. I was SO MAD at Dorothy and Rose for ignoring you.

(Flashback to 1985 where Rose and Dorothy ignore Kierain as Sophia hugs him.)

Blanche: NYLUND AND ZBORNAK!!!!

Rose: WHAT?!?

Blanche: IN THE KITCHEN NOW!!!!

*Blanche and Dorothy follow Blanche into the kitchen*

Dorothy: What is it, Blanche?

Blanche: ARE YOU IGNORING MY BABY NEPHEW?!?

Dorothy: He’s a loser!

Rose: I agree with Dorothy on that one!

Blanche: YOU WILL RESPECT MY BABY NEPHEW OR YOU CAN BOTH FIND A NEW HOME!!!! *storms out of the kitchen*

(end flashback)

Blanche: Sophia and I will always love you darling.

Kierain: Thanks Aunt Blanche. *kisses Blanche on the cheek*

*Denise walks in*

Blanche: How was your manicure honey?

Denise: What do you think? *shows Kierain and Blanche her new red nails*

Kierain: Nice!

Blanche: They’re attractive.

Denise: Thanks. *to Kierain* Can’t wait to go home tomorrow?

Kierain: I’m going to miss you.

Denise: I know darling.

Blanche: I think a group hug is in order.

Denise: I agree!

*Blanche and Denise both hug Kierain*

Early the next morning (Monday), Blanche and Kierain board a train back to Summer Bay.

Denise: Make sure you call when you both return to the Bay.

Kierain: We will. Tell the boys that I checked their Facebook’s like they asked and....lots of spam.

Denise: Will do.

V/O: This train is now due to depart.

Kierain: DUH!

Denise: Goodbye. *waves at Kierain and Blanche*

Kierain: Bye. I'll come down and set up your Foxtel next week. *waves*

*the train departs*

(An hour later, Kierain and Blanche arrive back in Summer Bay. They head to the Bridgewater Apartments.)

Kierain: You're my favourite aunt on HIS side.

Blanche: Thanks darling.

*Bette sees them and opens her arms*

Bette: KIERAIN....and lady who I don't know!

Kierain: This is Blanche Devereaux, my favourite aunt on TOM's side!

Blanche: Charmed. Our Daddy loves you!

Bette: Would you like me to sign him an autograph for you Blanche?

Blanche: Oh that would be WONDERFUL!

*Bette smiles*

Bette and Blanche talk over coffee. Bette explains about Ailsa.

Bette: So, Ailsa completely cracked it and decided to hold poor Kierain hostage as revenge for banning the whole family from Vic Park.

Blanche: AND?!?

Bette: And she also invited PIPPA along!

*Blanche looks furious*

Blanche: What made Momma save him? I thought she cracked it over you.

Bette: Judge Judy released her when she found out Coral loved Kierain very much.

(Flashback to Blanche watching the news of Nick's death)

V/O: Seven Nightly News with Jennifer Keyte

Jennifer: Summer Bay players, fans, officials and AWBL followers gathered at Victoria Park to mourn the death of ruckman Nick Poulous. The ruckman lost his life at 10 to 3 this morning after falling over a cliff edge. He was with wingman Kierain Geaney at the time of the accident.

Blanche: Oh my lord!

Sophia: What?

*Blanche points at the TV screen*

Sophia: Whoa! What a way to go!

(Flashback to 1984. Dorothy and Rose are tying Kierain up.)

Rose: That'll teach you to break my things.

Dorothy: And mine too!

*Blanche walks in and GOES OFF!!!*

Blanche: NYLUND!!!!

*Rose and Dorothy quickly untie Kierain and flee*

(Later, Blanche is driving Kierain to Coral D's.)

Blanche: How is your Gran?

Kierain: I love her so much!

Blanche: I loved my Grammy too.

*Blanche stops the car at Coral D's new house*

Blanche: I’ll let Momma bring you in. I threw my back out *goes to the door* MOMMA!

*Coral D opens the door*

Coral D: Hello.

Blanche: Can you carry him in?

Coral D: Sure. *carries Kierain inside*

*Kierain rest on her*

Blanche: I never know why he does that.

Coral D: Security blanket my darling.

Blanche: Meaning?

Coral D: It helps him feel safe. Okay?

Blanche: I'm sorry Momma.

Coral D: I know. *smiles*

Later on, Bette is on the phone with Adriana.

Adriana: Where is he?

Bette: He's with his Aunt Blanche whom he hasn't seen in FOUR years!

Adriana: *worried* WHERE?!?!

Bette: He's with Aunt Blanche and Coral.

Adriana: Oh you think Coral is stable?

Bette: She's completely recovered.

Adriana: Oh okay.

(At Coral D's, Kierain is struggling to stay awake in her arms.)

Coral D: Darling?

Kierain: Hmmm.

Coral D: Darling?

*Kierain wakes up slowly*

Kierain: Gran...

*Coral D gently rocks him back to sleep*

The next day (Tuesday), Taylor decides to master up his courage and act on his feelings for Amelia. He meets Amelia near the lockers before school starts.

Taylor: Hey Amelia.

Amelia: Oh hey Taylor. How are you?

Taylor: I’m good. Hey listen. I want to tell you something.

Amelia: What’s up?

Taylor: I’ve got a crush on you.

Amelia: Really?

Taylor: Yeah, I do. *smiles*

Amelia: Well, I kinda have a crush on you too. *smiles back*

Taylor: You do?

Amelia: Yes, I do. But I want to take things slow. If you know what I mean.

Taylor: Of course I do. *smiles*

Amelia: I’ll see you around. *gives Taylor a huge hug*

Taylor: See you around too.

*Amelia walks away with a smile on her face*

Taylor: *to himself* Well done Taylor.

(Elsewhere, a girl wearing a pink beret, black top, pink and black polka dot skirt as well as black stilettos walks past the lockers.)

Rhonda: Who’s that?

Leanne: Don’t know. But she seems up herself.

Heather: What if it’s a new teacher?

Rhonda: It might be a new teacher. Who knows?

*When the girl stops by her new locker, she is approached by Charmaine and Ruth.*

Ruth: Excuse me? Are you new?

Bianca LeBow: *in a strong French accent* Indeed I am.

Charmaine: She’s French. OMG! I’ve always wanted to go to France!

Bianca: Really? Well, I’m only at this school for five months and then I head back to Paris.

Charmaine: That is SO awesome!

Bianca: You girls haven’t introduced me to yourselves.

Ruth: I’m Ruth Taylor.

Charmaine: And I’m Charmaine Lucas.

Bianca: Lovely names. My name is Bianca LeBow.

Ruth: Such a lovely name.

*Lois approaches the girls*

Lois: I take it you’ve met our new exchange student, Bianca LeBow.

Bianca: It’s pronounced Le-Boo.

Lois: Oh okay. Sorry about that. *smiles* Bianca will be in Year 10.

Ruth: Darn!

Lois: Sorry to blow your chances that she would be in Year 11 with you ladies. Not to worry, you can still hang out with Bianca during recess and lunch.

Charmaine: That’s true. *smiles*

Lois: I’m going to take you to Mr Fisher’s office, Bianca. He’s going to give you your timetable.

Bianca: Okay. It was a pleasure to meet you Charmaine and Ruth.

Ruth: Likewise. *smiles*

*Bianca and Lois walk off*

Charmaine: So, how’s things at home?

Ruth: Terrible. Samuelu got a letter from Nina yesterday saying that their long-distance relationship isn’t working and that they should remain friends. He’s not coping well at all. And to top it off, Sally is being a bigger brat than normal.

Charmaine: That sucks.

Ruth: I know right.

*the bell rings*

Ruth: Time for roll call.

*Charmaine and Ruth walk to their respective role call classes*

At Revhead’s old house, Blanche and her friends are moving in.

Blanche: Now this is a perfect place!

Sophia: I agree Blanche.

Dorothy: It stinks!

Rose: They really need a new carpet.

Blanche: IS THAT A COMPLAINT, ROSE?!?

Rose: Yes. Why did we have to move near the loser?

Dorothy: Miami is a nice place to live. I’m not devoting my time on that…urchin!!!

Blanche: ENOUGH!!!!

Rose: I wanna go back to Miami!

Dorothy: Me too!

Sophia: Whinge, whinge, whinge! That’s all I ever hear come out of you, Dorothy. You too, Rose.

*Rose and Dorothy storm out of the house*

Blanche: They’re just going to have to like it.

Sophia: Too right, Blanche.

(Outside, Rose and Dorothy are talking.)

Dorothy: I hate Geaney with a passion! He’s such a whiny brat!

Rose: Not too mention, the biggest cry-baby I’ve ever met.

Dorothy: That’s right.

Rose: I just hope Blanche doesn’t make us spend time with him.

Dorothy: I sure hope not. Otherwise, we’ll be on the first plane back to Miami.

Rose: Promise?

Dorothy: I promise.

*Rose hugs Dorothy*

(At the diner, Coral K walks in and sees Ailsa behind the counter.)

Coral K: Thought you were under house arrest!

Ailsa: I am. But I have to work at the diner.

Coral K: You know putting Kierain in the same room as Pippa was a fatal mistake, right?

Ailsa: Coral. Not here.

Coral K: WHAT’S THE MATTER AILSA?!? SCARED THAT THE TRUTH IS OUT?!?

Ailsa: GET OUT!!!

Coral K: Oh, I’m going! *storms off*

*Ailsa storms over to Coral K and pushes her out the door*

Coral K: How dare you push me!

Ailsa: Don’t you EVER come back to the diner! *slams the door shut*

*Coral K holds her arm in pain*

That afternoon, Samuelu is struggling to focus in English class.

Miss Nelson: Samuelu Luisi? Pay attention please.

Samuelu: *in a surly manner* Sorry.

Eric D'vedimon: He’s just upset because his music producer girlfriend dumped him.

Karen: SHUT UP Eric!

Eric: I was just speaking the truth. *to Samuelu* Hey man. I bet Nina’s already found herself a new man by now.

Samuelu: F*** OFF YOU P***K!!! *throws his chair at Eric before storming out of the room*

Karen: Nice going Eric. Really nice! *goes after Samuelu*

Miss Nelson: RIGHT! SEE ME AFTER CLASS D’VEDIMON!!!

Eric: *meekly* Okay.

*The whole class glares at Eric*

(Karen find Samuelu inside the school gymnasium, crying.)

Karen: Sami?

Samuelu: Just go back to class, Karen.

Karen: I don’t want to. I want to make sure that you’re okay.

Samuelu: I’ll be fine.

Karen: Talk to me Sami.

Samuelu: I really loved her, you know? I did love you as well, but there was something about her that I can’t even describe. I just wish she didn’t move to Los Angeles and I just wish that she didn’t dump me! *breaks down crying*

*Karen hugs Samuelu*

Karen: It’s gonna be okay man. You still have your friends and family that love and care about you.

Samuelu: I know. *buries his face into Karen’s shoulder*

*Karen strokes Samuelu’s hair*

(When school is dismissed, Bianca is hanging out with Lee, Lynn and Amelia.)

Bianca: This school is so…classy!

Lee: You don’t say, Frenchie?

Lynn: Lee! That’s not nice!

Bianca: Oh, it’s okay Lynn. I don’t mind being called Frenchie by the queer guy. *smiles*

Amelia: I’m going to head home, you guys. Aunty wants me home in time for netball practice.

Lynn: Okay. See you tomorrow Amelia. *hugs Amelia*

*Amelia then hugs Lee and Bianca*

George: She’s staying with us for five months while my sister Penny is studying in France.

When George returns home from school that afternoon, his mother is watching TV.

George: Hi Mum. I’m home.

Tanya: You’re kind of late.

George: I missed the bus. Sorry Mum.

Tanya: Well, at least you're all right. Say, where's Bianca?

George: Probably smoking.

Tanya: I never knew French people smoked. Just hope Penny's having a great time there.

George: Me too.

Tanya: So, how's the boyfriend hunt going? Dad and I are keen on meeting your new lover.

George: Well…

Tanya: What's his name?

George: Lee Turner.

Tanya: Met him at the youth centre before. He's a nice kid.

*George smiles*

(At the diner, Bianca is talking to Misty about France.)

Bianca: You’d like it there.

Misty: I've always wanted to go to France and see the Eiffel Tower.

Bianca: Everyone has treated me with such warmth. I feel like part of a family. So, who's this Josh guy you go on about so much?

Misty: My boyfriend. I met him when he was on the run from his parents but they wanted him back home. *sighs*

Bianca: What do you think of Amelia?

Misty: I like her a lot. Why?

*Some racist boys walk up to them*

At Rhonda's house later that afternoon, she get a phone call from Lynn.

*Lynn enters the house*

Coral K: SHE should be in Blackmoor!

Adriana: Oh that reminds me. I've got some news that would delight you.

Coral K: Summer Bay can't be in the finals already. It’s only May.

Adriana: Pippa's in a coma.

Adriana: Prison officer Cynthia Leach and one of the prisoners bashed Pippa for harming Kierain.

Coral K: Oh....

(At Bette's, Lyn Scully from the CWA is cleaning the house)

Lyn: Where's Kierain?

Bette: In his room. We're having guests tonight.....So you're another from Erinsborough. Why the move?

Lyn: I left my husband and kids. I wanted a fresh start for myself.

Bette: Wait a second. Was your husband Joe?

Lyn: *impatiently* Why do you ask?

Bette: I want to thank him. He was the one who helped Kierain when he slammed into that truck. So was he?

Lyn: *lying* No.

Lyn: Yes he was. But he cheated on me with another woman, so I left him and the kids while I moved here to Summer Bay for a fresh start. *smiles at Bette*

Bette: What team are you?

Lyn: Summer Bay now.

Bette: Did you see when my boy threw that ball in the air in August?

Lyn: Don't need to boast about it.

(Lyn smiles as we flashback to August 8 1988 seconds before the siren. Joe is NOT impressed.)

Joe: COME ON! COME ON!

*The siren sounds and Kierain throws the ball in the air*

Sandy Roberts: He need not even pass. The drought is over!

Joe: WHAT DROUGHT?!?

Michelle: DAD! 49 years is AGES for a flag!

Joe: They cheated!

Felicity: Too right they did!

Jack: I think playing with a broken hand is pretty damn tough. Give Geaney credit. Would YOU have done that?

Felicity: I'm so sick of hearing that name!

Jack: Go on Dad. Would you play on in the finals plus a drawn one with a wrecked hand?

Joe: No. But he shouldn't have played on in the first place!

Connor: Well why?

Joe: He broke his hand I tell! He shouldn't have played!

(end flashback)

At Beryl's place, she is on the phone with Miss Dohnal.

Bamato: Do you have a police record?

Beryl: Heavens no!

Bamato: Alcohol and/or drugs?

Beryl: No.

Bamato: Then it's settled. Your new foster child will arrive tomorrow. Her name is Imogen Parting. And I must tell you that when you read her case file, you'll be in tears.

Beryl: Oh?

Bamato: Imogen's father and uncle sexually abused her on different occasions, while her mother used to burn her with cigarettes.

Beryl: DEAR GOD!

Bamato: It's really sad. Try and give her as much support as you can Beryl. She needs it.

(That night, Blanche and the girls are at Bette and Billy's house for dinner.)

Bette: Hey Blanche. Did you see that glorious day in August?

Blanche: No, I unfortunately didn't as we do not get AWBL in Miami.

Dorothy: I think HE cheated playing with that broken hand!

Bette: Oh DO YOU!

Dorothy: YES!!!

Rose: Let's face it Bette. Kierain's always been worthless! *to Kierain* YOU ARE A LOSER! YOU ARE A LOSER!

Kierain: The hell with this mate! *gets up*

Dorothy: OH THAT'S RIGHT! GO HAVE A SOOK TO PIPPA!!!!

*car tyres squeal*

Rose: Well, this has been a pleasurable evening. Come on Dorothy. We've had our say.

*Dorothy and Rose leave*

Lyn: Yes Blair?

Blanche: Blanche. Can you go find him?

Lyn: Okay. Who's going to sort out Hansel and Gretel?

Bette: Billy?

Billy: Yes sweetie?

Bette: DEAL WITH THEM!

Blanche: No Bette. I live with them. I'll deal with them.

(When Blanche arrives home, she is LIVID with Rose and Dorothy.)

Blanche: Sophia?

Sophia: Yes Blanche?

Blanche: Leave us alone.

*Once Sophia leaves, Blanche launches into a rage.*

Blanche: ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!? HE'S TAKEN OFF SOMEWHERE AND I DUNNO WHERE LYN SCULLY IS LOOKING FOR HIM AND HOW DARE YOU MENTION PIPPA?!?

Rose: Can't the little baby hack it?!?

*Dorothy makes baby noises, which infuriates Blanche even more!*

Blanche: ZBORNAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Rose and Dorothy calmly walk away*

Lyn finds Kierain crying on the beach and gently approaches him.

Lyn: What's wrong love?

Kierain: I'm getting pretty tired of folk turning on me.

Lyn: Who has turned on you?

Kierain: Every man and his dog at some point except for Bette, Billy and Chrissy.

*Lyn hugs him*

Kierain: Can I tell you something?

Kierain: I went through so much pain playing from July till August last year as you know the Grand Final SHOULD have been July 30 but with the draw and all.....

The next day (Thursday), Kierain is on the train to Erinsborough when he suddenly falls out of his wheelchair.

Man: Hey mate. Are you all right?

Man: I’ll phone for an ambulance. *dials 000 on his cell phone* Hello, I need an ambulance to come now!

*Kierain ends up in Erinsborough Hospital, where Pam is arguing with the head nurse.*

Pam: I INSIST on nursing him!

Head Nurse: But Sister Willis…

Pam: BUT NOTHING!

Head Nurse: Okay, okay. You can nurse him.

*Pam enters Kierain’s hospital room and sits on his bed*

Helen: How could you behave so childishly, Todd?

Todd: He STOLE Cody from me.

Bev: Reality check, there. You dumped Cody.

Todd: Well, she shouldn’t have been cheating on me with Darren Wood.

Jim: I thought you cheated on her with Melissa Jarrett.

Todd: *sulking* No.

Helen: Darling, that’s beside the point. You shouldn’t treat Kierain like that just because your relationship with Cody fizzled.

Todd: Whatever.

Bev: I will NOT have you speak to Helen like that! Get to your room and stay there. And don’t come out until you stop acting like a child!

*Todd storms into his room and slams the door*
