Home and Away Episode #405: Protect The World From Devastation (Part 1)

On Saturday night, Mary’s family and friends have decided to throw her a farewell party before she starts her new life with Adam and Cleo in Revesby the next day.
Kim: Is she coming?
Nicole: I hope so.
Leanne: You did tell her to come to the community hall didn’t you Nikki?
Nicole: I did. But she’s five minutes late.
Victor: Just give her time sweetie.
*Suddenly, footsteps are heard*
Bernadette: Quick! Turn the lights off!
*Victor turns the lights off as Mary walks in and turns on the light*
Everyone: SURPRISE!!!!
Mary: *in shock* What is this?
Rhonda: We just decided to throw a surprise party for you because we want to wish you well when you move back to the city. And what better way to do it then throw a party for the most loving girl on earth. I’m proud to call you my best friend.
Mary: Revesby isn’t in the city, but thanks for the well wishes bestie.
*Rhonda hugs Mary*
Victor: Well, we better be off darling. *kisses Mary on the cheek*
Nicole: Can’t I stay too Dad?
Kim: You can stay sweetie. But make sure you and Lauren are home by 11.
Nicole: Deal.
Mary: Bye Mum and Dad.
Kim: See you when you get home girls. *they walk out*
Anna Stevenson: Shall we get this party started?
Mary: Definitely!
(At 8:00pm, an hour after the party kicked off, Mary is surrounded by Anahera Brown, Tracey Bright and Karen Fischer)
Tracey: I’m gonna miss you Mary. Everyone in Summer Bay likes you.
Karen: Yeah. It will suck without you.
Anahera: Remember when you came to my place after your Year 12 graduation and you and I were dancing to 5, 6, 7, 8?
Mary: Yeah Anahera. Fun times! I just hope you go all the way to Year 12.
Anahera: I will Mary. I may hate Year 11 now, but I definitely will make the most out of next year.
Tracey: If only you came to Summer Bay High…
Anahera: But I live in Yabbie Creek.
Tracey: True that.
Karen: Samuelu and I are back to being friends again.
Mary: That is awesome!
(At 8:25pm, Tiago and Alice go over to Mary)
Alice: I will miss you heaps Mary. You are such an honest, caring and sweet girl.
Tiago: Who’s going to be my new girl best friend now? *looks sad*
Mary: Tiago…
Tiago: Just kidding! You’ll always be my girl best friend.
*Tiago high-fives Mary before hugging her*
(At 8:40pm, Kierain and Dawn approach Mary)
Kierain: Will miss you Mary.
Mary: I’ll miss you guys too. *hugs Kierain*
Dawn: We got you this too. *hands Mary a palm tree coffee mug*
Mary: Oh! It’s the one I wanted. Thanks Dawn. *gives Dawn a kiss on the cheek and hugs her*
(By 11:00pm, all the teens in Summer Bay have sent their farewell messages to Mary by hugging her and/or giving her gifts.)
Nicole: Come on Lauren. Let’s go home.
Lauren: Do we have to?
Nicole: Parents orders. Have to do what I’m told.
*Lauren hugs Mary*
Lauren: I’ll miss you.
Mary: Look out for Nikki for me won’t you?
Lauren: I will.
(When the party finishes at 11:30pm, Mary leaves the community hall and walks back home)
Mary: *to herself* I’ll miss Summer Bay.

When Emma gets home from the party, she sees Alf and Ailsa standing in the living room. They don’t look impressed.
Alf: EMMA JACKSON!!!!
Emma: Oh what now? I’m home on time like you said!
Alf: WHERE IS AILSA’S NECKLACE?!?
Emma: I don’t know what you are on about!
Ailsa: The white gold necklace with the love heart on it. Where did it go Emma?
Emma: I wanted the extra money.
Ailsa: YOU SOLD MY NECKLACE?!?
Emma: It was just one lousy, stinking necklace!
Ailsa: THAT NECKLACE WAS THE LAST THING MY MOTHER GAVE TO ME BEFORE SHE DIED!!!
*Emma rolls her eyes*
Alf: ARE YOU GOING TO FLAMING EXPLAIN YOURSELF?!?
Emma: No. It’s just a necklace! Get over it!
Alf: THAT DOES IT MY GIRL!!! YOU GO STRAIGHT TO BED!!! WE’LL TALK ABOUT THIS IN THE MORNING!!!
*Emma storms into her bedroom and slams the door*
(Meanwhile, Darren is driving Kierain home when Tony Shaw blocks their way)
Tony: WHY SHOULD I BE DROPPED?!?
Darren: Tony?
Tony: I DON’T DESERVE TO BE DROPPED!!! I DON’T!!! I DON’T!!! *tries to glass Kierain and Darren*
Darren: EASE UP TONY!!!!
*Kierain is more or less shaking*
Darren: Don’t hurt him Tony!!!!
Tony: GET LOST!!! *storms back into his car and speeds off*
*Upon arriving home, Kierain is in tears*
Bette: What happened Darren?
*Darren tells Bette and Coral D everything*
Coral D: Is that right?!?
Bette: Leigh Matthews is GOING DOWN!!!! *to Coral D* Look after Kierain.
*Coral D takes Kierain into her bedroom where she soothes him*

The next day (Sunday), Bette and Coral D have a go at Leigh Matthews over the phone.
Coral D: DO YOU KNOW THAT MY GRANDSON COULD’VE BEEN KILLED BY TONY SHAW?!?
Leigh: Uh….
Bette: EXPLAIN MR MATTHEWS BEFORE I GET NASTY!!!!
Leigh: He was injured. What more could I do?
Bette: NOT AN ANSWER!!!! *slams the phone down*
Coral D: Do you think that got through to him?
Bette: Hope so.
*However, Leigh is now copping a serve from Denise*
Denise: MY SON WOULD’VE LOST AN EYE IF TONY THREW THAT GLASS AT HIS FACE!!!!
Leigh: Stop whining Millane!
Denise: SHUT UP LEIGH!!! I’LL MAKE SURE YOU ARE OUT OF A JOB QUICK SMART!!! *slams the phone down*

That afternoon, Mary is packing the last of her things before she heads downstairs to say goodbye to her family.
Mary: You’ll come to Revesby and visit once we settle in?
Kim: Of course darling.
Mary: Goodbye Mum. *kisses Kim on the cheek* Goodbye Dad. *kisses Victor on the cheek*
Victor: Goodbye my eldest daughter. And a kiss for you too my precious Cleo. *kisses Cleo’s forehead*
*Cleo gurgles*
Mary: And a big goodbye to my twin brothers. *kisses both Lincoln and Keanu’s foreheads* I’ll see you both grow up soon.
*Nicole is now crying*
Mary: Oh Nikki. Don’t cry. I’ll still be your sister.
Nicole: I’ll miss you Mare-Mare.
*Mary (now crying herself* hugs Nicole really tight*
Mary: Goodbye my wonderful family. *heads out the door with Cleo in her arms*
*To her surprise, Mary finds Leanne, Rhonda, Bernadette, Judith, Fliss, Amy, Viv and Anahera standing out on the front yard just as she is about to enter Adam’s white Ford Laser station wagon*
Mary: What is this?
Leanne: As your best friends, we wanted to say goodbye to you properly.
Mary: But I already said goodbye to Rhonda this morning as I was as the Fletchers. You should’ve seen Tiago when I went over to his house. He was a mess.
Amy: That’s a guy best friend for you.
Rhonda: I’ve known you since primary school Mary. We may have lost contact during our first few years of high school, but there was not a day that went by where I did not think of you bestie.
Bernadette: Did you like the card that all of us wrote in?
Mary: I’ll always cherish that card and all the photos we took on our phones.
Bernadette: First Lyndz and now you. I’m gonna miss you Mary.
*Mary hugs Bernadette*
Mary: I’ll miss you too Dette.
*Mary then hugs Leanne*
Mary: Take care of yourself. Try not to get into too much trouble.
Leanne: *crying* I won’t.
*Mary then hugs Judith*
Mary: I’ll miss you heaps Judith.
Judith: I’ll miss you too. *smiles*
*Mary then hugs Fliss*
Mary: Get that modelling job you want Fliss.
Fliss: I will Mary. I promise I won’t let you down.
*Mary then hugs Amy*
Mary: We’ve had our ups and downs, but you have changed into a confident and bubbly young woman.
Amy: You’re a great person Mary. In heart and personality.
*Mary now hugs Viv*
Mary: I’ll miss you Viv. Try and be friends with Alice.
Viv: I’ll try my best.
Anahera: I wanted to give you something too Mary.
Mary: What’s that Anahera?
*Anahera gives Mary a white Maori hook necklace*
Anahera: I hope that when you wear it, you’ll always think about me.
Mary: Thanks Anahera. You are such a nice girl.
Anahera: You are welcome Mary.
*Mary hugs Anahera*
Rhonda: *now crying* This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Lose my best friend forever.
Mary: *crying* You’ll never lose me bestie.
*Rhonda and Mary hug tightly*
Mary: You are all wonderful people. Make sure you come visit me and Adam in Revesby someday.
Girls: We will.
*Mary puts Cleo into her car seat before getting in the front seat with Adam*
Mary: I’ll miss you all my dearest friends.
Girls: Goodbye. *wave at Mary*
*Mary waves at the girls as Adam drives away to the start of their new life*

The next afternoon (Tuesday), Lois is doing some shopping in Blakes Inlet when she sees Kierain stranded.
Lois: Excuse me?
Kierain: Yes?
Lois: How long have you been in this line for?
Kierain: About an hour.
Lois: I see. *grabs Kierain’s wheelchair and pushes him in front of the other people*
Woman: OI!!! DON’T PUSH IN!!!
Lois: THE NERVE OF YOU PEOPLE NOT GIVING THIS POOR YOUNG BOY FIRST PRIORITY TO USE THE BATHROOM!!!
Man: Well, don’t push in then!
*Lois coldly glares at the man who backs away*
Kierain: Thanks. *enters the bathroom*
Lois: You lot going to give first priority to disabled people now?
Everyone: Oh yes ma’am!
*Kierain comes out of the bathroom*
Kierain: So what’s your name?
Lois: Lois Crawford. Yours?
Kierain: Kierain Geaney.
*Lois smiles sweetly at Kierain*
(At the diner, Margaret drops her wallet and when she goes down to pick it up, her white bra can be seen)
*Steven sees this*
Steven: Oh Mrs Lynch!
Margaret: Hi Steven. How are you?
Steven: I think you might want to button your shirt.
*Margaret notices that Steven looked at her*
Margaret: HOW DARE YOU!!! *runs out of the diner in a hurry*
Steven: All I did was just look.
Viv: It wasn’t her fault her buttons came undone.
Amy: Maybe she needs to gain weight.
*Steven, Viv and Amy crack up laughing*

At Denise’s house, Darren and Leigh are having a serious talk with Tony.
Darren: We need to talk.
Tony: About WHAT?!?
Leigh: Are you taking drugs?
Tony: NO! Why would I do that stupid stuff?
Darren: We’re worried that you are taking drugs to stop the pain of your injury.
Tony: What a load of garbage!
Darren: Have you taken drugs or not?
Tony: NO!
Leigh: Tell the truth!
Tony: OH ALL RIGHT!!! I HAVE TAKEN DRUGS!!! NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!!! *storms out of the house*

Emma: So, I stole a bottle of Jack Daniels back when I was living with my dopey mother. You stole anything Sal?

Emma: I know right!
Sally: Do you like school?
Emma: No. I think school is a drag.
Sally: Do you even GO to school?
Emma: I’ve only been to that stinking school twice.
Sally: I’m surprised Fisher hasn’t called in to see Alf and Ailsa. I remember when Carly skipped school that time. He called in to our place and Tom and Pippa grounded her for two weeks. Not only that, Tom ripped up Carly’s modelling contract.
Emma: Well, I sold Ailsa’s necklace for $250.
*Sally and Emma both laugh*

At the Magnolia Apartments (where Fliss and Katerina live), a black BMW sedan pulls into the driveway.
*A woman with really short blonde hair and wearing black clothes gets out of the car*
Tabatha Coffey: Welcome to Summer Bay, Tabatha.
*Tabatha enters the building*
Tabatha (V/O): The secret to turning a struggling salon into a thriving business is one week with me. I’m Tabatha. I’m going to change everything. I will clean up the management, shake up the staff and transform every part of the salon. I’m tough, I’m talented, I’m taking over.
*Tabatha enters her apartment*
Tabatha: I think I’m going to like it here.

Dawn: Boo? Can I ask for a massive favour?
Kierain: What’s that?
Dawn: Would you be able to buy me that new Spice Girls CD for my birthday?
Kierain: Anything for my girlfriend.
Dawn: Thanks. It’s a shame tickets to their concert sold out!
Kierain: I know. Now is that all you want for you birthday from me?
Dawn: You could also get me that Brown Sugar album.
Kierain: Sure. *smiles*
Dawn: I love you.
Kierain: I love you too.
*they kiss*
(At the diner, Tabatha is having a coffee when she sees Nina walk in.)
Roo: Hi Nina. What can I get you tonight?
Nina: Some hot chips with tomato sauce would be nice.
Roo: Coming right up.
*Tabatha notices Nina*
Tabatha: Nina Olivera?
Nina: Tabatha Coffey! OMG! How ARE you?!? *gives Tabatha a hug*
Tabatha: I didn’t know you were in Summer Bay.
Nina: I frequently visit the area. I live in the city. What brings you to the Bay?
Tabatha: I decided to rent an apartment and open up my own salon. You still doing that X-Factor show?
Nina: Yeah. And I’ve still got my own record label.
Tabatha: That’s awesome. You know if you want your hair done, you can always come to me. I’m a successful hairdresser.
Nina: I hear you’ve got your own show now.
Tabatha: That’s right. “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover” it’s called. Do you like it here in Summer Bay?
Nina: Why do you think I have a holiday house here?
*Tabatha and Nina look at each other and laugh*
Tabatha: You know Nina? I’m glad that I found you here cause I haven’t made any friends yet.
Nina: Some people are scared of you Tabatha. Maybe it’s because they see you on TV and go “Oh, she’s so strong-headed!”
Tabatha: At least I’m really good at what I do.
Nina: So am I. *smiles*

The next day (Wednesday), Lois is teaching Miss Nelson’s Year 11 English class as Miss Nelson has called in sick.
*Tiago chucks a rubber at Ruth*
Ruth: Ouch! Do you mind not throwing a rubber at my head?!?
Lois: WHO threw that rubber?!?
Anna Stevenson: *sarcastically* Casper the Ghost.
Lois: STEVENSON!!!! ONE MORE SMART REMARK, YOU’LL BE ON DETENTION!!!
Anna: Sorry Miss.
*Tiago throws a pen at Ruth’s head*
Ruth: STOP THROWING THINGS AT ME!!!! I’M TRYING TO WORK!!!
Lois: RIGHT GONCALVES!!! *points at Alice* YOU ARE ON DETENTION!!!
Alice: How come? I didn’t throw anything at Ruth.

*This sets Leanne off like a rocket*

Lois: *coolly* Congratulations Morgan. You’ve landed yourself a detention as well.
Leanne: *scoffs* I was only sticking up for my friend who you happened to call an insolent little bitch!

Leanne: Geri. I’m not going to let some Miss Trunchbull wannabee try and use strict discipline and accuse us of things we didn’t even do!!! If you want respect from us Crawford, you have to EARN IT!!!!
Class: Yeah!
Lois: Get out Morgan!
Leanne: With pleasure! *walks out of the room*

(Meanwhile in Fisher’s office, Emma has decided to quit school)
Donald: You’ve hardly been attending school Emma? Why is that?
Emma: I just don’t like it. I’ve actually thought about it and I’ve decided to quit.
Donald: You want to quit school?
Emma: Yes. I’m thinking of getting a job anyway.
Donald: Just sign these forms and you’ll no longer be a student at Summer Bay High.
*Emma signs the forms*
Emma: Thanks. *leaves*
*Donald sighs*

In her apartment, Tabatha is cleaning her hairdryer she hears the door knock.
Tabatha: Come in.
*Fliss opens the door and walks inside accompanied by Katerina*
Fliss: Hello.
Tabatha: Why hello! How are you?
Fliss: I’m good.
Katerina: I’m fantastic. How are you?
Tabatha: I’m well. So what brings you ladies here?
Fliss: We just wanted to welcome you to Summer Bay. I’m Felicity Sidebotham, but you can call me Fliss.
Katerina: And I’m Katerina Ioannou. If you want, you can call me Kat.
Tabatha: Well, I’m Tabatha Coffey.
Fliss: Wait a minute. Not THE Tabatha Coffey who hosts “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover”?
Tabatha: Indeed I am.
Fliss/Katerina: OMG!!! She’s moved to the Bay! She’s moved to the Bay!
*Tabatha laughs*
Tabatha: Settle down ladies. I know I’m famous, but I don’t want you all gushing over me. As I say, I’m tough and talented.
Katerina: So true Tabatha. What brings you to live in the Bay anyway?
Tabatha: I’ve decided to open up my own salon. It’s going to be right next to the diner.
Fliss: Awesome! I’m going to be a famous model one day. Would you do my hair?
Tabatha: I don’t see why not. *smiles*
*Fliss and Katerina smile back*
(At the Fletchers, Tom is on the phone while Lil has finished drying the dishes)
Tom: So what time are we expecting her? 10:30 tomorrow morning? Okay thanks for that Miss Dohnal. Goodbye. *hangs up the phone* You won’t believe who is coming back to live with us Lil.
Lil: Who?
Tom: Lynn Davenport.
Lil: I haven’t met her.
Tom: Well, she was one of our original foster children. Last July, DoCS decided to return Lynn to her parents. I thought things were going well, but it turns out that Lynn’s started causing problems at home.
Lil: Really?
Tom: Bamato said that Lynn started smoking cigarettes, truanted class and spent most of the weekend at the mall with a bad group of kids. She even stopped going to church. This isn’t like Lynn at all.
Lil: Just don’t put her in the same room as Clarissa.
Tom: No. Carly will be sharing with Lynn.
Lil: That’s good darling. *kisses Tom*

At Alf and Ailsa’s, the kids have returned home from school.
Alf: Hey girls. How was school?
Tami: It was good.
Krystal: It was kind of boring. Oh and Brendan’s over at a mates place, but he’ll be back in time for dinner.
Alf: Thanks for letting me know Krystal. *to Emma* And how was school for you?
Emma: I quit.
Alf: YOU WHAT?!?
*Ailsa walks into the living room*
Ailsa: Alf. What’s going on?
Alf: Emma’s decided to quit school.
Alisa: Oh Emma! Why did you quit school?
Emma: Cause I felt like it. Anyway, no one liked me there anyway.
Ailsa: *to Tami and Krystal* Can you girls go to your bedroom please?
Tami/Krystal: Sure. *they walk off*
Alf: RIGHT!!! Here’s what’s going to happen Emma! You are going straight to that school tomorrow morning and telling Mr Fisher that you’ll be re-enrolling!
Emma: Get real! Besides, I’ve applied for a job at Industrie Hair Gurus - a salon owned by Tabatha Coffey!
Alf: YOU ARE NOT GETTING A FLAMING JOB AS A HAIR STYLIST!!!

Alf: NOW JUST A MINUTE!!! *tries to go after Emma, but Ailsa stops him* I’VE HAD A GUTFUL OF HER BEHAVIOUR AILSA!!! IT’S TIME SHE NEEDS TO GROW UP!!!
Ailsa: You’re right Alf. I’m not going to ignore Emma’s behaviour anymore.
*The doorbell rings*
Alf: Who can that be? *opens the door to find an elderly woman standing there* Oh hello. What can I do for you?
Adelaide Cummins: Are you Alf and Ailsa Stewart?
Alf: Yes we are. Come in.
*Adelaide comes in*
Ailsa: Who are you by the way?
Adelaide: I’m Adelaide Cummins. Tami and Krystal’s grandmother.
Ailsa: Oh we’ve heard so much about you. Would you like a cup of tea?
Adelaide: No thanks. I came here to tell you that I want Tami and Krystal to return to Cook Vale. I want them to live with me.

Because at Industrie Hair Gurus, I will make sure that your hair looks amazing! This salon will always be tidy and I look forward to getting new clients. June: I’ve got Maths first period. Have fun in your classes girls.

(Kerry’s first class of the day is Year 10 Maths. June, Amy, Lynn and Lee Turner are in that class)
Kerry: Good morning everyone. I’m Mrs Wood and I’m going to be your Maths teacher for the rest of the year.
Lee: *sarcastically* Great.
Kerry: You seem overjoyed. *laughs*
Amy: *whispering to June* Is this teacher for real?
June: *whispering back* I know right. That purple dress she’s wearing is very tight.
*Amy cracks up laughing*
Kerry: What’s so funny love?
Amy: Something that happened to Lee over the weekend.
Lee: Oh shut up Amy! *laughs*
Lynn: Mrs Wood?
Kerry: Yes love.
Lynn: Where did you get that dress? It looks SO nice.
Kerry: Oh thank you.
*Lee is about to burst out laughing*
Lynn: No worries. *smiles*
*Once class is dismissed, the girls absolutely wet themselves laughing*
Amy: I seriously cannot believe how stupid that teacher is!
Lynn: That dress looked awful on her! And besides, she was REALLY slow writing on the blackboard.
Lee: I must say, Mrs Wood is very skilled when it comes to talking rubbish. Cause that’s what she did the whole lesson.
June: I know right. Just wish Mr Dreyer didn’t go on extended leave.
Lee: I’m going to feel so sorry for Morgan.
Amy: Why’s that Lee?
Lee: She’s got Mrs Wood for Maths next period.
Lynn: I’m sure we’ll be hearing ALL about it during lunch.
*the girls crack up laughing*

At lunch, Leanne is sitting with Alice, Geri, Kellie and Lynn in the canteen when Lee goes over to them.
Lee: So Morgan? How was Maths with Mrs Wood?
Leanne: Don’t even get me started on her Turner. She is ANNOYING!!!
Geri: The whole lesson, she went on and on about this fete she went to last week. No one cares!
Leanne: I ended up walking out of class halfway through the lesson cause she was driving me mad.
Lee: She talks like a bloody goat!
Alice: Which one is Mrs Wood?
Lynn: She won’t be hard to miss Alice. Say, who’s the oldest twin out of you and Tiago?
Alice: I’m three minutes older than Tiago.
Lynn: Sweet.
Kellie: Did you try the new ice-cream sundaes they have here?
Geri: Oh yes! They are so delicious!
Leanne: Couldn’t agree more.
*Nicole goes over to them*
Nicole: Hey.
Lee: Hey Nicole. You want to join us?
Nicole: Actually, I was wondering if you seen Lauren. She was meant to meet me at the canteen. *sees Lauren walking towards her* Oh hey bestie! Where have you been?
Lauren: Miss Lopez gave me detention for chewing gum.
Leanne: I wouldn’t worry about the Spanish teacher. She’s nothing but an annoying little nag. *to Nicole* So, how’s Mary enjoying her new place?
Nicole: She loves it. She’s been very busy looking after Cleo though. She told me to say hello to you guys.
Kellie: Tell her we said hello as well.
Lauren: Let’s go find Candice.
Nicole: Okay. See you girls later.
Geri/Leanne/Kellie/Alice/Lee/Lynn: Later.
*Nicole and Lauren walk off*
Lynn: Who’s Mary?
Leanne: That’s Nicole’s older sister. She used to live in the Bay, but is now living in Revesby with her fiancé and their baby daughter.
Lynn: Right. Just hope she’s nice.
Alice: Nicest girl you could meet. Tiago is STILL sad that he can’t hang out with her anymore.
Geri: Poor guy. *looks sad*
(Meanwhile, Lois is in Fisher’s office complaining about Kerry)
Donald: What seems to be the problem Miss Crawford?
Lois: It’s the new Maths teacher Donald.
Donald: Are you referring to Kerry Wood?
Lois: Yes. In all my years of teaching, I don’t think I’ve ever met such an annoying, unkempt person as her.
Donald: Be fair Lois. She’s only just started.
Lois: Kerry needs to lift her game. I had one Year 8 student come into my office, saying that he wasn’t learning anything because she kept reading a magazine when she was supposed to be teaching the class!
Donald: Anything else?
Lois: That’s about it for today Donald. I’ll leave you to it. *leaves the room*
(At Coral D’s, Bette has bought Kierain McDonalds for lunch)
Bette: For my favourite.
Kierain: You bought me Maccas? Thanks Bette.
Bette: No worries. How’s your thumb?
Kierain: Still sore, but I think it’s on the way to getting healed.
Bette: Awesome!
*Kierain and Bette eat their lunch*
Kierain: So, how’s your show going?
Bette: Good. I’ve signed on for another two seasons.
Kierain: That is really good news!
Bette: It sure is. That way you can still watch my show on SBS.
Kierain: AWESOME!!!! *high-fives Bette*

At Industrie Hair Gurus salon, Emma is putting foils over her customer’s hair and it has started to bleed.
Emma: Oops.
Woman: What is it?
Emma: The foils have started to bleed.
Woman: Meaning?
Emma: Those blonde highlights you wanted have turned orange.
Woman: WHAT?!?
*Tabatha walks over to Emma and the woman*
Tabatha: Is there a problem here?
Woman: I requested to this young lady that I have blonde highlights in my hair and all of a sudden, she tells me that they’ve turned orange.
*Tabatha inspects Emma’s work*
Tabatha: Those foils have bled Emma. Care to explain?
Emma: I don’t know. It just happened!
Woman: Get the foils out of my hair! I’m going to Belladonna’s Salon over in Yabbie Creek.
Tabatha: I’m really sorry about this.
Woman: I don’t blame you Miss Coffey. I blame this incompetent girl you hired to work in your salon in the first place!
Emma: You want a shaved head with that?
Tabatha: MY OFFICE EMMA!!!! *to the woman* Would you come back to this salon?
Woman: Maybe. But if she’s working here, NO WAY!!! *leaves the salon*
*Tabatha storms into the office and gives Emma a dressing down*
Tabatha: I DON’T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE TO TELL YOU NOT TO MESS UP YOUR WORK!!!! YOU DON’T LET FOILS BLEED AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU DON’T THREATEN THE CUSTOMERS!!!
Emma: She was being a bitch!
Tabatha: I HAVE A GREAT PASSION FOR THIS INDUSTRY EMMA!!!! WE’VE JUST LOST A GREAT CUSTOMER CAUSE OF YOUR INCOMPETENCE!!!
Emma: *sarcastically* Sorry!
Tabatha: As of right now, you are on probation. That means I’ll be watching you all the time! And if you screw up again, you’ll be fired! *leaves the office*
*Emma continues to sit there and sulk*
