During lunch period the next day (Thursday), Samuelu and Karen get into another argument.
Karen: BUT I REALLY WANTED TO GO OUT FOR DINNER!!!
Samuelu: KAREN WILL YOU STOP BEING SUCH A SPOILED BRAT!?!
Karen: ARE YOUR FRIENDS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR GIRLFRIEND?!?
Samuelu: TAYLOR IS STILL IN HOSPITAL YOU SELFISH BITCH!!!
*Karen slaps Samuelu. The students see gasp in horror!*
Karen: WE’RE FINISHED SAMMY! YOU CAN GO BACK TO YOUR FRIENDS NOW! *storms off*
(Over at the Fletchers, Judy Bryant is moving into the guest bedroom)
Judy: Thanks for letting me move into the guest room.
Tom: No worries. You are more than welcome to live with us. Right Lil?
Lil: Yes. Judy and I have GOT a lot to catch up on. *smiles*
Tom: That you do. By the way, we’re getting a new foster kid tomorrow.

Tom: She better be. Anyway, I’m off to the store to pick up some milk. *walks out of the house*

Judy: I just missed everyone. I seriously needed grieve for Doreen and Summer Bay wasn’t the place to do it.

At Coral D’s house, Phoebe is in still in a bit of the bad mood over Kierain’s attitude towards her.
Phoebe: King Kierain?!? What a joke!
Bette: Now Phoebe that’s not very nice.
Phoebe: I don’t care Aunty Bette. He was rude to me, so why should I be nice to him?
Chrissie: You don’t know what Kierain is going through right now Phoebe. You need to just give him his personal space.

Bette: Just try not to rev him up. He’s very quick tempered.

(Speaking of Kierain, he’s outside the Wentworth Detention Centre busking)

The next day (Friday), Ailsa is working in the diner when Miss Dohnal and a girl around 16-17 years old enter.
Bamato: Hello Ailsa. How are you?
Ailsa: I’m doing well.
Bamato: This is Rachel. She’s on her way to stay with Tom and Lillian.
Ailsa: Hi Rachel. It’s nice to meet you.
Rachel: You too. Bamato has told me heaps about you. Hope you don’t mind. I was just curious.
Ailsa: That’s fine. I’m sure you’re going to like it here in Summer Bay.
Rachel: I hope so.
Ailsa: Can I get you anything?
Bamato: Yes please. I’m not sure about Rachel, but I’m hungry. We had to get up pretty early this morning.
Ailsa: I’ll just go fix something up for you.
Rachel: Oh you don’t have to do that.
Ailsa: It’s okay. Take a seat.
*Rachel and Bamato go and sit down*
(At Summer Bay High, Samuelu is surrounded by Tiago, Garry, Jordan and Robbie while Karen is surrounded by Kellie, Geri, Heather, Leanne, June and Alice)
Samuelu: I just can’t believe she dumped me!
Tiago: Stop thinking about it man. At least you’ve got us.
Samuelu: Bet the girls aren’t so happy with me.
Robbie: They’re probably comforting poor Karen.
Garry: Poor Karen? She’s not the victim here. Sammy is!
Jordan: Gaz! No one is a victim.
Garry: True.
*(Meanwhile, Karen is crying to the girls)*
Karen: I just hate being pushed aside.

Kellie: I hate that magazine. It’s so rude!
*Rhonda walks over to the girls*
Rhonda: What’s the latest gossip?
Geri: Just us putting down guys.

Karen: Cause of my ex-boyfriend! Oh, did you hear that Taylor is coming out of hospital this afternoon?
Rhonda: Really? That is great news.
Leanne: When I see his attacker, I’ll make mince meat out of them!
Kellie: Can I join?
Leanne: Sure. *high-fives Kellie*

Back at the diner, Miss Dohnal and Rachel are talking.
Bamato: You’re going to one of the best foster families around Rachel. Make sure you be nice to them.
Rachel: I AM nice.
Bamato: Most of the time.
Rachel: I don’t understand?
Bamato: To quote your grandmother “Nice when she wants to be.” And that’s another thing, please remember to write to her while she’s recovering in the hospital.
*Rachel shows Bamato a postcard*
Rachel: I love my Nan. She knows that.
Bamato: Is that why you ran riot as soon as she became ill?
Rachel: I don’t do things like that anymore.
Bamato: Just as well. I hope you don’t get expelled from school again. The Fletcher’s are no pushovers.
Rachel: Just so you know, I’m not proud of what I put Nan through. I really upset her and I apologise for that.
Bamato: It’s okay. I didn’t mean to drag it up.
Rachel: Nah. You’re right. I mean drinking, smoking, shoplifting and partying at all hours of the night is not me. It was those stupid kids I got involved with back in the city.
Bamato: I’m hoping you make some decent friends. Don’t blow it okay.
*Rachel smiles weakly*
(At Coral D’s house, Phoebe is ignoring Kierain)
Kierain: Phoebe?
*Phoebe goes into the fridge and pours a glass of milk*
Kierain: Phoebe?!?
Phoebe: Anyone hear a dog barking?
Kierain: Stuff this! *storms into his room and slams the door*
*Phoebe drinks her milk like nothing has happened*
Phoebe: *to herself* Idiot.

That afternoon, Mary is making her bed when the doorbell rings.
Mary: Coming. *goes over to the door and opens it where she finds Amy standing there* Oh it’s you!
Amy: Hi Mary.
Mary: *coolly* Amy.
Amy: Can I come in?
Mary: Fine.
*Amy enters the house*
Amy: So how long to go until you have the baby?
Mary: I’m due in March. Not that it’s any of your business.
Amy: I understand why you’re angry at me. I had no right to bitch about you behind your back.
Mary: It’s not just that. You do it to my friends all the time! It’s petty and childish!
Amy: I know. And I just wanted to say that I’m sorry.
Mary: You mean it?
Amy: I’ve done a lot of thinking lately. And I’ve been such a bitch to everyone because of the way I was brought up back home. I know it’s an excuse, but I just thought that being a bitch would make you look tough but I guess it didn’t for me.
Mary: I accept your apology. Let’s be friends again.
Amy: Really?
Mary: Yes.
*Amy and Mary hug*
(At the Fletchers, Rachel is being shown around the caravan park)
Lil: Now the beach is just through there. *points at a short cut* I’ll get Fliss to show you around later.
Rachel: Cool.
Lil: I’ll be inside cooking dinner. *walks back to the house*
*Rachel walks over to the gazebo and hits the pot plant which swings around. Fliss sees this and goes over to Rachel.*
Fliss: Can you NOT do that?!?
*Rachel ignores Fliss and hits the pot plant once more*
Fliss: You break that, you’re paying for it. Now which caravan are you staying in?
Rachel: I actually live in a house.
Fliss: Don’t tell me you’re Rachel?
Rachel: And I’m guessing you’re Fliss. I’m sorry but I had to move a few things out of my way now that we’re sharing the same bedroom. I hope you don’t mind. *walks off*
*Fliss glares at Rachel*

That night, the Fletchers are having a wonderful dinner together.
Lil: So how was school today kids?
Samuelu: *sadly* Great.
Lil: What’s wrong?
Samuelu: I don’t want to talk about it. *walks upstairs*
Rachel: Is he okay?
Steven: Oh he’s just a bit upset that’s all. Just went through a bad break-up.
Rachel: *to Lil* Would you like me to help wash with the dishes?
Lil: No. You’ve done more than enough already. It’s Fliss and Steven’s turn tonight.
*Fliss goes into the kitchen to start washing up*
Fliss: *mocking Rachel* Would you like me to wash the dishes? God she’s as fake as my fake nails!
Steven: Gee Fliss! You need to grow up! Seriously, you haven’t given Rachel a chance. *walks off*
*Fliss sighs*
(That night, Samuelu is in bed reading when he hears the door open.)
Samuelu: Who’s that?!? *turns the lamp on*
*Rachel closes the door behind her. She’s wearing a pink satin nightie*
Rachel: Where I come from, it’s far too early to go to sleep.
Samuelu: Really?
Rachel: Really. Especially when there are more interesting things to do. I know how it must feel having your heart broken by some cheap tramp, but at least you’re now single. Right?
*Samuelu looks shocked at Rachel’s behaviour*

Rachel: sure sounds like fun!

*Elsewhere in the school Samuelu is telling Tiago about what Rachel did the previous night*
Samuelu: she just walked into my room and started coming on to me

*Later that day Amy manages to get Susan to leave Mary alone Leanne looks impressed*

*Taylor has just come home from hospital and is tired*

*At the King/Drouyn house Kierain gets a letter from Pippa* which reads:

*Sonia slowly walks over to Kierain and the two women*

Reb: Fix our buddy here something to eat.

At the Fletcher’s, Fliss returns home from Yabbie Creek when she hears the vacuum go off.
Fliss: Hey Jude. I thought I was vacuuming this afternoon.
Judy: Rachel decided to do it. She said it was to give you a break.
Fliss: Okay. *goes into her bedroom and sees that Rachel is vacuuming*
*Fliss unplugs the vacuum*
Rachel: HEY! What are you doing?!?
Fliss: I’m getting sick of your Little Miss-I’m-such-a-good-little-girl routine! It’s pathetic!
Rachel: You’re pathetic Fliss! And you want to be a model? Oh please!
Fliss: At least I’m not a BITCH!!!
Rachel: I would rather live somewhere other than put up with country hicks like your family!
Fliss: Apologise right now!

*Fliss grabs Rachel’s arm*

(Meanwhile, Coral D has just received a phone call from the agency)
Coral D: Okay. That’s great news. Thanks very much. Bye. *hangs up the phone* Guess what Bette?
Bette: What?
Coral D: I’m going to be producing a new TV series called Serena.
Bette: Cool! What channel is it going to air?
Coral D: Channel Nine.
Bette: That’s great news.
Coral D: I know. I can’t wait for it.
*Bette hugs Coral D*
Bette: Who’s playing Serena?
Coral D: Still to be decided.
Bette: Okay. I just hope it’s a great show.
Coral D: I’ll make sure it is.

Bette: RIGHT! WHY DID YOU CANCEL KIERAIN’S BUDDY DAY?!?
Joelle: He was distracting the women.
Bette: WHAT’S YOUR NAME?!?
Joelle: Joelle Gwynn, the new governor of Wentworth.
Bette: OH IS THAT RIGHT MISS GWYNN?!? WELL JUST SO YOU KNOW I’LL HAVE YOU SACKED IF YOU DON’T BRING BACK KIERAIN’S BUDDY DAYS!!!
Joelle: YOU DON’T INTIMIDATE ME YOU PSYCHOPATH!!! IF YOU EVER GET INDUCTED TO WENTWORTH, I’LL MAKE SURE YOU GET A WARM WELCOME!!! NOW GOOD DAY!!! *slams the phone down*
*Bette has a furious look on her face*

(Meanwhile at the Fletchers, Fliss is trying to explain to Lil what Rachel is really like)
Fliss: She’s really rude and abrupt. She said this family were a bunch of hicks and that Summer Bay should be called Bumpkin Bay!

Fliss: But I’m telling you the truth.
Lil: I know that you and Rachel have had issues in the past few days, but I think you should try and be friends with her. Anyway, I better go to the store. I need to get some milk. *kisses Fliss on the cheek before leaving*
*Rachel comes in the kitchen having heard what Fliss said*

Kierain: The new governor of Wentworth axed my buddy days for good.

Kierain: Yeah. Margo phoned this morning saying that Joelle revoked all their privileges because they had a sit-in protest during breakfast.
Judy: That’s ridiculous. Come here.
*Kierain hugs Judy. Just as he does, the phone rings.*
Kierain: I’ll get that. *picks up the phone* Hello? Oh hello Bev. How are you? You want to see me tomorrow morning? But I thought your office only opened Monday to Friday. Oh that’s nice of you. See you tomorrow. Bye. *hangs up the phone*
Judy: What did Bev want?
Kierain: My counselling sessions resume tomorrow.
Judy: That’s great news.
*Kierain smiles*
(At the Fletchers, Jo Frost returns to help them become a better family)
Jo: I’m back.
Sally: Not HER again!
Lil/Tom: SALLY!!!
Jo: Today, we’re going to learn about how to have family time.
Sally: Oh GREAT!!!
Lil: THAT’S IT SALLY! ROOM!!!
Sally: But…

*Sally storms upstairs*
Jo: Where are the rest of the kids?
Tom: They should be home soon.
Jo: Good. Because I want them to hear this because this is important.

(Meanwhile, Sharni is in her apartment reading a book when someone slips a note under her door)

Home and Away Episode #352: Betrayed by a Friend (Part 1)

The next day (Sunday), Sharni goes straight to Summer Bay Police Station and shows constable Janet Walsh the threatening note she received.
Sharni: I’m scared for my safety here.
Janet: Do you know who wrote it Miss Vickers?
Sharni: Yes. My ex-boyfriend Nathan Andrews. He was abusive to me while we were dating.
Janet: How long did the two of you date?
Sharni: From March 1987 until November last year.
*Janet puts Sharni’s complaint in the police computer*
Janet: I’ll look into it Miss Vickers. Thanks for your co-operation.
*Sharni walks out of the police station*
(Meanwhile, Kierain is having his first session with Bev since she came back from holidays)
Bev: How’s life been for you?
Kierain: Pretty crap! The new governor of Wentworth Joelle Gwynn swung the axe on my buddy days!
Bev: SHE WHAT?!? I’ll be right back. *goes over to her desk and dials the phone number of the Wentworth Detention Centre* Hello, is Joelle Gwynn there please? Really? You did hear that she axed the buddy program. What do you mean you AREN’T bringing it back?!? BUDGET CUTS MY BACKSIDE!!!! I’LL MAKE SURE YOU’RE FIRED AS WELL!!!! GOOD DAY!!! *slams the phone down*
Kierain: What is it?
Bev: Good news or bad news first?
Kierain: Good please.
Bev: The good news is that Joelle has been fired as governor.
Kierain: YES! *fist pumps*
Bev: The bad news is that the new governor Angela Cox isn’t bringing back the buddy day. She blamed it on budget cuts but I don’t believe it.
*Kierain is more or less fuming*
Bev: Do you want me to stay with you?
Kierain: No thanks Bev. I’m going to see the girlfriend now.
(At Dawn’s apartment, she is hugging a crying Kierain)
Kierain: Why does everyone have to discriminate against me?
Dawn: Because those two governors are heartless and cruel. That’s why. I just want you to know that I’m proud to be your girlfriend and I hope that one day we’ll be able to start a family and get married. But not right now though.
Kierain: I agree with you Dawn.
*Dawn and Kierain kiss*

At Bernadette’s house, her Aunt Ruby has come to stay with the family for a week.
Lydia: Hello sis. How’ve you been?
Ruby: I’ve been good little sis. *Her and Lydia kiss each other on the cheek* I tell you what I’m so glad to be out of Hobart that’s for sure.
Anthony: Horrible weather down there?
Ruby: It was raining when I got on the plane this morning. Say, where’s my darling niece?
Lydia: She’s out with her girlfriend.
Ruby: Girlfriend? Are you telling me…
Anthony: Yes Ruby. Bernadette is bisexual.
Ruby: Bisexual? Isn’t that where one person likes both male and female?
*Lydia and Anthony nod their heads*
Lydia: We’re fine with it. Just don’t say any jokes that would offend her okay?
Ruby: Okay.
*Bernadette and Lyndz enter the house*
Bernadette: Hi Mum. Hi Dad.
Lyndz: Hi Mr and Mrs Willows.
Anthony: Hi girls.
Ruby: My darling niece. How are you?
Bernadette: Aunt Ruby! What a pleasant surprise! How long are you staying with us?
Ruby: I’m here for the week darling. I haven’t seen you in nearly a year. *notices Lyndz* And who’s this fine young lady that’s with you?
Bernadette: This is my girlfriend Lyndsey Collins. But me and our friends call her Lyndz.
Ruby: Hello Lyndsey. It’s nice to meet you.
Lyndz: Likewise. *smiles*
Ruby: Well I better go unpack. *heads upstairs*
Lyndz: She’s nice.
Lydia: That’s my big sister for you.
(At Alf and Ailsa’s, Roo has just got off the phone with Bamato Dohnal)
Ailsa: Who was that on the phone Roo?
Roo: That was Miss Dohnal. She just wanted me to remind you that we’re getting two foster children tomorrow afternoon.
Ailsa: What are their names?
Roo: One’s a 16 year-old girl named Tami Hogan and another is a 14 year-old boy named Brendan Sparks.
Ailsa: Alf and I can’t wait to meet them.
*Roo smiles*

At Summer Bay High the next day (Monday), Tiago is looking for Heather during lunch.
Tiago: *to Leanne and Kellie* Have you girls seen Heather?
Leanne: I think she’s in the lunch room.
Kellie: She was heading that way.
Tiago: Thanks. *goes to the lunch room* Heather? Heather?
Heather: Tiago? Where are you
*Tiago walks over to Heather and gives her a huge kiss in front of everyone!*
Students: WOOOOOOOOOO!!!! *some students even start clapping*
Heather: Tiago…
Tiago: You are one good kisser Heather Thompson. *winks and smiles at Heather before walking off*
*Heather blushes with excitement just as Rhonda approaches her*
Rhonda: Are you blushing Heather? Why’s that?
Heather: I think Tiago Goncalves is in love with me. *sighs happily*

Brendan: where’s the dunny?
Roo: first door in the hall
*Brendan runs to the loo*

*At the diner Amy is talking to some tourists*

Lady: yes that’s nice but where’s the….

*The eldest Millane brother Sean goes over to Kierain*

Amy: Larni Retallack is so annoying moan moan whine whine!

Man: THE BLOODY POST OFFICE WHERE IS IT?!

*at the Millane family barbecue The Millanes and Kierain watch the 1988 drawn AWBL Qualifying Final between Summer Bay and Airds*
Sandy Roberts *on TV* A goal here and Airds will win a behind and we have a tie!
*Peter Sumich throws the ball but misses*

Brian Taylor: it’ll be a draw!
Darren: *at the BBQ* I was there!

On Monday, Denise is visiting Coral D.
Denise: Hello Coral. Where’s Kierain?
Coral D: He’s on his buddy thing down at Wentworth.
Denise: I thought they axed it.
Coral D: The governor brought it back. Kierain was so excited.
Denise: I’m sure he was. Now, I want you to know that if ever you need a break from Kierain send him to our place. He’s more than welcome to stay.
Coral D: Thanks Denise.
Denise: No worries.
(At the Fletchers, Rachel is pretending to cry to get someone’s sympathy)
*Jo walks in*
Jo: What’s wrong Rachel?
Rachel: Everything.
Jo: Tell me what’s wrong.
Rachel: Oh I try so hard to be friends with Fliss and everyone else but it’s so hard. *pretends to wail*
Jo: It’s okay darling. *puts her arm around Rachel* Fliss is in serious trouble for smoking.
Rachel: I know.
*Jo hugs Rachel. As she does, Rachel lets out a huge smirk*

When Kierain’s buddy program has wrapped up for the day, guess who should be there but Peter and Gavin.
Peter: Hello.
Kierain: Uh….hello.
Gavin: We want to get to know you better.
Kierain: Ah no thanks. *starts to wheel off*
Peter: Wait up!
Kierain: Okay! *goes over to Peter and Gavin*
Gavin: Just so you know Kierain. We want to be friends. This isn’t a joke by the way.
*Kierain looks unconvinced*
Peter: Just give us a chance.
Kierain: Okay. I will.
Peter: Thanks.
*Peter and Gavin walk off*
Kierain: *to himself* Awkward much.
(That night, Fliss is making her bed when Rachel comes in and starts to gloat)
Rachel: Got rid of the smoke from your sheets yet?
Fliss: Get lost Rachel.
Rachel: Oh pardon my ignorance Flissy Moo. My plan has finally worked.
Fliss: Don’t bet on it.
Rachel: No one likes you Fliss. You were born to be a loser and I’m going to have all the friends I want in this bumpkin town. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
*Fliss glares at Rachel*
Rachel: Oh and by the way, you don’t have a smoke do you?
*Fliss has had enough and attacks Rachel. They fight continuously when Lil hears them from downstairs. She’s helping Heather with her homework*
Lil: What was that noise?
*Fliss pushes Rachel onto the drawer which causes Rachel to scream loudly. She then breaks down in tears just as Lil and Heather race in*
Lil: What is going on in here? Rachel, are you all right?
Rachel: *wailing* My side.
Lil: You weren’t going to be satisfied until something like this happened right Fliss?
Fliss: OH SHE’S PUTTING ON AN ACT! SHE ISN’T REALLY HURT!
Lil: THAT’S ENOUGH FLISS!! Come on Rachel. Come onto the bed.
Heather: Is she okay Lil?
*Lil checks on Rachel who screams when Lil touches Rachel’s side*
Lil: *to Fliss* I think you broke one of her ribs.
*Fliss pulls a sarcastic smirk before sulking*

- Amy finds friends in full supply, while at the same time she bonds with Kierain
- Rhonda sees through Rachel’s demeanour and confronts her about it
