*Bette Midler and Lil are talking to Kierain*

Bette: so you see honey I need a way to get in to the caravan park without being mobbed
Kierain: I see and what’s in it for me if I protect you from the crazy bus fans?
*Bette and Lil exchange looks*
Lil: my undying appreciation?
Kierain: nice try Lil but I’m afraid I need something more solid I mean this is Bette Midler I’m shielding
Bette: well what do you want?
*Kierain spins around in his office chair to face the window*
Kierain: hmmmm
*Kierain spins back to face the ladies*
Kierain: okay this is what I want you to act in Grandma Coral’s next project
Bette: that’s it?
Kierain: and I also want to be credited in your next movie as the best boy
Bette: okay done!
Kierain: Killer I’m gonna be credited on a movie now!

*later that day Sally “accidentally” draws attention to Bette*
Sally: *at the top of her lungs* YOU’RE BETTE MIDLER!!!!!
*All the caravan park residents run up to Bette and start chattering*

*Kierain proceeds to create a diversion*

*Some residents turn around*

Grandmother: and he’s being entertaining!
*while Kierain diverts the crowd Lil and Carly sneak Bette inside Lil then gives him the thumbs up*

*the crowd leaves*

*at the King/Drouyn house Coral D is hard at work on her new project*
Coral D: This is going to be the best play ever!
Coral K: King Kierain? Isn’t this a tiny bit boastful?
Coral D: No it’s based on his rebellious phase Green Day had Saint Jimmy so why not King Kierain?
Coral K: Ah I see
*Coral D gets back to her work*

*talking of Kierain he and Bridget are in the shopping centre when Tania Zaetta from Who Dares Wins approaches them*
Tania: excuse me would either of you like $50?
Kierain/Bridget: sure I guess
Tania: great just smash this phonebook with your knee
*Kierain takes the phonebook and smashes it into two pieces over his knee*

*Tania gives Bridget a phonebook which she smashes over her knee*

*during a family dinner that night however Tom winds Kierain up*

Bette is comforting a distressed Kierain by singing to him.

Bette: *singing* You are one special little guy.

Kierain: Bette?

Bette: Yes?

Kierain: Will you ever turn against me?

Bette: Never! I think that you are very nice and caring. *smiling*

Kierain: Thanks. *smiles back*

(Over at the Fletcher’s, Tom is now yelling at Sally for her earlier stunt.)

Tom: WHEN THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE KEPT A SECRET SALLY FLETCHER, YOU DON’T GO AROUND BLURTING IT OUT TO THE WHOLE TOWN!!!
Sally: OH BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!! GO LOOK AFTER BABY KIERAIN!!!!

Tom: ENOUGH!!! NOW GET TO YOUR BEDROOM AND STAY THERE!!!!

*Sally storms upstairs*

The next day (Monday), Sharni is over at Jacqueline and the Roomies house eating Chinese food.

Sharni: So, where’s Reiko, Jillian, Vanessa and Adrian?

Jacqueline: Reiko’s filming tomorrow’s episode, Vanessa and Jillian went shopping in Blakes Inlet and Adrian’s at the diner.

Sharni: Cool. I’m just glad I made friends in this town.

Grace: You seemed very edgy when you first arrived?

Sharni: That’s because I left an abusive boyfriend back home.

Grace: Oh okay. How bad was it?

Sharni: Pretty bad.

Jacqueline: Well he can’t get to you anymore. We’re all friends here.

(And still on making friends, Bette has just made friends with Celia and Doris Peters. They are having coffee in the diner)

Doris: Beaches was such a great movie.

Bette: Why thank you Doris.

Celia: In my honest opinion Doris, Big Business was the funniest movie ever.

Bette: I’m glad you liked it Celia.

Celia: Would you like to host the trivia night down at the RSL this Friday night?

Bette: I’d be honoured.

Doris: We’ll be there.

Bette: Great. *smiles*

Celia: I’m just glad that we’re friends with a movie star!

Later that day, The Newbie‘s are moving into the flat behind the general store now that Kelly is living in a chateau.

Betty: This place is MUCH better than that caravan.

Bob: I agree. We’ll just have to pay our bills on time.

Betty: I’m just glad we could find a bedroom for Brandi.

*Brandi gurgles*

Betty: I think she’s happy with that.

Bob: I agree. I just can’t believe that our little girl will be 1 years-old in July.

Betty: Me neither.

Betty: Do you think we should try for another?

Bob: How about adoption?

Betty: We COULD adopt a child. But how?

Bob: Phone that Barbara Dohnal lady.

Betty: Bamato Dohnal works for DOCS and only sends kids to live with foster families.

Bob: Then how can we adopt?

Betty: We phone the adoption agency and ask them to adopt a child.

Bob: That’s good then.

*Betty smiles*

(At the caravan park, a slender blonde haired woman and her 15 year-old daughter move into Arthur and Maggie’s old caravan. They are the Holmes family)

Evelyn: What do you think of Summer Bay sweetness?
June: I love it Mum!

Evelyn: I’m glad. Now, I’m going to help out around here as much as I can.

The next morning (Tuesday), Evelyn is helping Tom and Lil with running the caravan park.

Evelyn: We getting any visitors this afternoon?

Lil: Our foster son Kierain is visiting.

*Tom rolls his eyes*

Evelyn: What?

Tom: All he does is whine and moan about Pippa?!?

Lil: *about to lose it big time* Evelyn? Why don’t you go and water the plants? I want to talk to Tom.

Evelyn: Okay then. *walks out of the house*

Lil: THOMAS FLETCHER!!! YOU WILL RESPECT KIERAIN WHEN HE VISITS THIS AFTERNOON DO YOU HEAR ME?!?

Tom: Sure whatever you say.

Lil: I MEAN IT TOM! EITHER YOU RESPECT HIM OR THE WEDDING IS OFF!!!

*Tom just storms upstairs*

(Meanwhile, Evelyn’s 15 year-old daughter June has made friends with Mary and Rhonda at the diner)
June: So what are your names?

Mary: I’m Mary Wong.

Rhonda: And I’m her best friend Rhonda Sheridan.

June: I’m June Holmes. It’s so nice to meet you all.

Rhonda: How long are you in the Bay for?

June: Depends.

Mary: Depends on what?

June: Depends if we move again. In two years, I’ve been to twelve different high schools and eaten in twelve different lunchrooms. I can’t even remember anyone’s name.

Rhonda: Short on friends huh?

June: You could say that. *notices Mary’s stomach* How long now?

Mary: You can tell I’m pregnant now can’t you?
June: Yes.

Mary: I’m due in February.

June: Next month. Aw how nice. *smiles*

*Mary and Rhonda smile back*

That afternoon, Kierain is on his way to see the Fletchers when Bea walks over to him.

Bea: Hi love.

*Kierain ignores her*

Kierain: FINE!! You’ve got five minutes.

Bea: I’m really sorry that I lied to you. It agonised me that you had to deal with the grief that Leah suffered at the hands of Pippa. But I did what I had to do to save Debbie’s legacy.

Kierain: Have you quite finished?

Bea: Well yes, but I think you….

Kierain: I’M NOT INTERESTED AUNTY BEA OR WHOEVER YOU ARE!!!! I JUST CAN’T BELIEVE YOU LIED TO ME!!! *runs off*

Bea: Kierain!!!! *collapses on the ground and sobs*

(At the Fletcher’s, Lil talks to Kierain about Bea. Tom and Sally are not home.)

Lil: Are you okay darling?

Kierain: No. *breaks down crying*

*Lil hugs Kierain*

Lil: It’s about Bea isn’t it?

Lil: I just want you to know that Bea loves you very much and she cares about you. She would never hurt you on purpose.

Kierain: Just to let you know Lil, you and the siblings are really cool. But I will never forgive Tom and Sally.

Lil: I know love. But you are more than welcome to come and visit. *smiles*

At the Bridgewater Apartments, Stacey is on the phone to the local car repair business.

Stacey: So you’re saying that my Holden Astra sedan is a write-off? I see. Well, that WAS my first car but anyway. I’ll just have to buy another one. Thanks anyway. Bye. *hangs up the phone*

*Belinda walks in*

Belinda: Guess what Mum?

Stacey: *depressingly* What?

Belinda: I’m getting a new foster child tomorrow.

Stacey: Who?

Belinda: I believe his name is Taylor Murphy. You look angry what’s wrong?

Stacey: AMY DECIDED TO GO ON A JOYRIDE IN MY CAR AND SMASH IT!!! THE WHOLE CAR IS NOW WRITTEN-OFF!!!

Tom: It was an apology letter. Did you even open it?

Kierain: NO!!! BECAUSE IT’S MEANINGLESS AND FAKE!!!!

Kierain: YOU ARE DEAD TO ME TOM!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO FORGIVE YOU AFTER WHAT PIPPA DID TO ME?!? NO WAY JOSE!!! I’M OUTTA HERE!!! *storms out*

*Tom cries as Lil walks in*

Lil: You deserved that by the way.

Having returned home from the diner, Ophelia is on the phone to her grandmother.

Ophelia: Grandma. Those diner workers were being rude to me. *fake cries*

Olive: THEY WHAT?!?

Ophelia: They were being really rotten to me when all I did was try and order food for lunch.

Olive: I SEE! WELL I FIX IT FOR YOU OPHELIA DARLING!!!

Ophelia: Thanks Grandma. *hangs up the phone* See you later diner. *smirks*

(Meanwhile, Carly is trapped as a result of falling down a hole)

Carly: HELP!!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!
*A passing motorist stops his car and sees that Carly is trapped*

Man: I’ll get help for you love. *runs over to a nearby payphone to call the SES*

(When watching Prime Local News that night, Leanne is shocked when she sees Carly being winched out of a hole)

Natalie Forrest: SES crews were called to Summer Bay Road today after an 18 year-old woman fell into it. Carly Morris walked away with only cuts and bruises.

Leanne: Poor Carly.

Lisa: What about her?

Leanne: She fell into that hole.

Lisa: Ouch! Hope she’s okay.

Leanne: She is.

The next day (Friday), Bette decides to take Kierain to the filming of her next movie “Search for the Sun.” That doesn‘t sit well with Sally and some of the boys.

Sally: WHY TAKE HIM FOR?!?

Garry: I’m so envious right now.

Steven: I agree.

Jordan: *to Kierain* You lucky duck!

*Mary is walking home when she hears Larni and Amy argue*
