Bob Barnett is over at Kelly's flat assessing the damage done over the robbery.

Barnett: So it was like this when you returned home Miss Kapowski?

Kelly: Yes it was.

Barnett: I see. Did you write out a list on what was stolen?

*Kelly hands Sgt Barnett the list*

Barnett: So, a CD Player, TV, a cosmetics bag, some jewellery and two hundred and fifty dollars in cash?

Kelly: That's correct.

Barnett: Were you insured?

Kelly: Thankfully, yes.

Barnett: Well, will see what we can do.

*Floss gives Kelly a cup of coffee*

Floss: Here lovey.

Kelly: Thanks Mrs McPhee. I hope Lisa's okay after what happened at the diner.

Floss: What happened?

Kelly: Apparently, she suffered food poisoning from a chicken roll that Rosie Cartwright made. Her strawberry milkshake also tasted like soap.

Floss: Dear lord! I just hope that she's fit enough to run the store tomorrow.

Tom and Pippa's friends Meg Jackson, her husband Bill and their son Marty are over for dinner.

Meg: How's everything with you Pippa?

Pippa: Bad. Really bad.

Meg: Why?

Pippa: Rosie and Frankie have been starting on Kierain.

Tom: That's right. And I’ve had enough of it!

Pippa: What are we going to do about Rosie and Frankie?

Tom: I don’t know. Carly, any ideas?

Carly: None. Anyway, we better be going. Melissa Adams is having a party down at the beach and she's invited me, Kierain, Bobby, Fliss, Lyndz and Mary.

Pippa: Not too late love.

*Carly leaves*

Meg: Now Tom. How have you been?

Tom: Not bad Meg. And you guys?

Bill: Just the usual. Golf and work.

Marty: And I'm studying hard to for the HSC.

Pippa: Hey Meg. Remember when Kierain and Marty were little and they used to cause strife?

*Bobby, Kierain, Fliss and Lyndz get ready to leave for the party*

Meg: Hello. MY hasn't Kierain grown!

Fliss: Anyway, we better be going to Melissa's party. We should be back by midnight.

Meg: Hey Marty. Go with them. You need a break.

Tom: *to Pippa* When Rosie comes home, who's going to lecture her? Me or you?

*Rosie comes through the door*

Rosie: WHAT!

Tom: Why did you make Kierain get his tongue pierced?

Tom: And what's this I hear from Roo that you gave Lisa Turtle food poisoning from contaminated chicken and putting soap in her milkshake?

*Rosie storms off*

At the party, Vicki tries to enter the party by having a go at Kierain, his foster siblings and Marty.

Vicki: GEEKS!

*Marty fronts her*

Marty: Who are you bitch?

Vicki: VICKI BAXTER!!!

*Melissa approaches them*

Melissa: Is everything okay?

Marty: GET THIS DYKE AWAY FROM US!

*Fliss and Bobby push Vicki aside*

Lyndz: Hey Dette. Having fun?

Bernadette: Of course I am. I just can't wait for the HSC to end.

*Everyone applauds Kierain*

At the beach house, Marilyn is being nurse to Lisa.

Marilyn: No. Rest there Lisa.

Lisa: I need my pink nail polish.

*Marilyn gets it for her*

Lisa: I wonder where Frank and Matt went?

Marilyn: Yeah. It’s been ages.

*A few minutes later, Matt and Frank arrive home. Frank has been crying.*

Marilyn: Frank?

Lisa: What's the matter?

Frank: My sister.

Marilyn: What is it?

Frank: We went and seen Miss Molloy and she told us that Leanne had been abused by our grandfather. If only I had known about this sooner.

*Lisa puts her arms around Frank*

Lisa: Frank it’s okay.

Marilyn: Where's Leanne now?

Matt: The department is looking after her until they can find a foster home for her.

*Marilyn looks sad*

At Alf and Ailsa's place, they are talking about Roo.

Alf: She’s grown up Ails.

Ailsa: She certainly has. I just hope that she does well in her HSC.

Alf: She will love.

Ailsa: Speaking of Roo, I was thinking that we could foster another child. I mean, we fostered Kierain when Tom kicked him out. Why don't we foster again?

Alf: Gee Ails.

Ailsa: I've already got the spare room ready for them to come.

Alf: When do you want to see Miss Molloy?

Ailsa: Next week.

Alf: Then, that's what we'll do. *kisses Ailsa*

*Roo returns home from Melissa's party*

Alf: Hi love. What’s funny?

Roo: *laughing* Kierain told the only school bitches that went to Melissa's party to get f****d!

*Alf cracks up laughing*

Ailsa: *laughing* Why?

Roo: Because they've given him a hard time about everything. I bet everyone will be laughing at Alyce, Beth and Jo at school on Monday.

Alf: Are you working at the diner tomorrow?

Roo: Am I Ailsa?

Ailsa: No. It’s me, Bobby and Celia tomorrow. Your working on Tuesday afternoon after school and next Saturday morning.

*Roo goes to bed still laughing*

Marty comes home sniggering.

Meg: What’s so funny Marty?

Marty: What Kierain said to Alyce Davis and the Harris twins.

Bill: What did he say?

Mary: When are you heading back to Reefton Lakes?

Meg: Not for a while.

*Kierain enters and everyone grins*

*Frankie storms downstairs*

Frankie: SILENCE!!!

Fliss: Just go back to bed Frankie!

Mary: Someone's missed their nap!

Kierain: That's alright. I’ll handle this. *goes up to Frankie* Ya know I think I know why you're such a jerk

Kierain: Because you wouldn't know HOW to be nice Cranky Frankie!

Kierain is at beach crying his eyes out. It‘s been an hour since he stormed out of the house.

*Meg pulls her Holden Apollo over and gets out to talk to Kierain*

Meg: Are you all right Kierain?

Kierain: I’m just sick and tired of Frankie and Rosie bullying me all the time.

Meg: Do you want me to talk to Tom and Pippa for you?

Kierain: Please.

Meg: I will also tell them that you will be spending a few days over at my house.

Kierain: Would I still be able to go to school? I mean Summer Bay is half an hour away from Reefton Lakes.

Meg: I’ll drive you to school.

*Kierain wipes away his tears*

Kierain: Thanks Mrs J. You are really nice.

Meg: Your welcome poppet. *kisses Kierain’s forehead*

Kierain: Will you take me home?

Meg: Of course. *wheels Kierain over to her car and puts him in the front seat*

Back at the caravan park, Tom and Pippa have lost their cool with Frankie.

Pippa: WE DON’T KNOW WHERE KIERAIN IS NOW?!?

Tom: BECAUSE YOU STIRRED HIM UP!

Frankie: DID IT EVER OCCUR TO YOU NARROW-MINDED PEOPLE THAT HE BULLIED ME FIRST?

*Frankie goes to slap Pippa*

*Frankie storms upstairs*

Pippa: *lets out an angry sigh* She’s just as bad as Rosie!

Tom: Tell me about it.

*Meg brings Kierain back home*

Pippa: Oh Kierain darling! *goes over to Kierain and hugs him*

Tom: *to Meg* If we had our way, Frankie and Rosie would be out of here at the crack of dawn!

Meg: I want to talk to you and Pippa anyway.

Pippa: About what Meg?

Meg: I want Kierain to spend a few days over at my house.

Pippa: *to Kierain* Do you want to go darling?

Kierain: Yes. Anything to get away from Frankie and Rosie.

Pippa: When are you heading back to Reefton Lakes?

Meg: Tomorrow afternoon.

Pippa: I’ll miss you Kierain. *to Meg* Make sure he goes to school.

Tom: I won’t even tell Rosie and Frankie where he is either.

Pippa: Do you think that’ll work Tom?

Tom: It will teach them a lesson not to bully others. Right Kierain?

Kierain: *smirking* Right.

The next morning, Pippa and Tom lecture Frankie about her behaviour the night before.

Pippa: I am extremely disappointed in you Frankie. How would you like it if someone picked on you because you had a disability?

Frankie: I don’t have a disability and I never will!

Pippa: Your tone of voice right now is not making me very happy.

Frankie: I DON’T CARE! YOU ALWAYS FAVOUR THAT NAPPY BABY MORE THAN YOU DO US!!!

Tom: That isn’t true Frankie! Pippa loves all of her foster kids.

Pippa: That’s right. With Kierain though, he needs extra love because his parents neglected him and he has chronic gastro.

Frankie: WHAT ABOUT ME? MY MOTHER NEVER GAVE TWO STUFFS ABOUT ME! SHE LEFT ME AT HOME WHILE SHE WENT TO THE PUB AND GET DRUNK!!!!

Pippa: I’M WELL AWARE OF THAT, BUT THAT DOES NOT EXCUSE YOUR BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS KIERAIN!!!! FOR ALL WE KNOW, HE COULD BE DEAD NOW!!!

*Frankie rolls her eyes at Tom and Pippa*

Tom: IF YOU ROLL YOUR EYES AT US AGAIN FRANCESCA THOMAS, I’LL GROUND YOU FOR A MONTH!!!

Frankie: I DON’T CARE!

Tom: CONSIDER YOURSELF GROUNDED FOR A MONTH!!!

*Frankie storms upstairs*

Fliss: What’s with you?

Frankie: OH SHUT UP FLISS!!!

*Fliss comes downstairs*

Fliss: What’s with Little Miss Grouchy?

Pippa: We just grounded her for a month because of her behaviour towards Kierain last night.

Fliss: What did she do? All of us were so tired from Melissa’s party that we just crashed into bed.

Pippa: She pushed Kierain down the stairs and he fell out of his wheelchair.

Fliss: That’s disgusting! Kierain’s a nice guy. I will admit at first I didn’t like him, but once I got to know him better he turned out to be very nice.

Pippa: Thanks Fliss.

Fliss: Shall I get Steven, Carly, Bobby, Lyndz and Sal up for breakfast?

Tom: Sure.

*Fliss goes upstairs*

Fliss: GUYS! IT’S TIME FOR BREAKFAST!!!

Pippa: I just hope Kierain will be all right with Meg and Bill?

Tom: Don’t worry love. He’ll be fine.

*Pippa looks doubtful*

Later that morning, Fliss, Lyndz and Bobby are telling Mary and Melissa what happened to Kierain the night before.

Bobby: Bloody Frankie pushed him down the stairs and he fell out of his wheelchair. He’s over at Reefton Lakes with Meg and Bill Jackson.

Melissa: I just don’t understand why people have to bully others, especially someone with a disability.

Mary: Kierain is SUCH a kind person.

Fliss: I agree with you on that one Mary.

Lyndz: Did you get back home all right last night Melissa?

Melissa: Yeah, I did. Thanks for asking.

*Bernadette walks in*

Bernadette: Hey girls.

Lyndz: Hey Dette.

Melissa: I LOVE your earrings. Who gave them to you?

*Bernadette shows the girls her gold heart shaped earrings*

Bernadette: Vicki Baxter gave them to me.

Mary: Fancy Vicki giving someone earrings!

Bobby: Too right!

Bernadette: She told me she got them at Goldmark in the city.

Melissa: They haven’t stocked those kind of earrings for years.

Fliss: Did Vicki give out other stuff as well?

Bernadette: As far as I know, she gave Julie a CD Player, Karen a gold bracelet, Alyce a cosmetics bag and Sharyn some cash.

Mary: How much?

Bernadette: I think Vicki said it was $250. Why the questions?

Bobby: That woman who moved into the general store flat was robbed and had similar items that you mentioned stolen.

*Bernadette looks shocked*

Bernadette: You don’t mean…

Lyndz: I have a feeling Vicki stole those items.

Bernadette: OMG!

Lyndz: *to the girls* Would you excuse us please?

*Lyndz and Bernadette walk out of the diner*

Lyndz: Can I ask you a question Dette?

Bernadette: Sure Lyndz.

Lyndz: Last night at the party, what did you mean by “your sexuality”

Bernadette: I’m bisexual. I’ve been given a lot of flack from Vicki and her mates about it. Out of the Summer Bay Babes, the only one who accepts my bisexuality is Karen.

Lyndz: If it makes you feel better Dette, I’m a lesbian.

Bernadette: Really? I didn’t know that.

Lyndz: I didn’t know myself until a few weeks ago.

Bernadette: Have you told your parents?

Lyndz: Only my foster mother knows.

Bernadette: You should let them know how you feel.

Lyndz: I will. How did your parents react when you told them?

Bernadette: Surprisingly, Dad took it well. However, Mum didn’t.

Lyndz: Don’t worry sis. I hope you find the right man and/or woman to have in your life.

Bernadette: Thanks Lyndz.

*They hug*

Frank and Lisa are spending time at the beach while Matt is at the surf club and Marilyn is at the store.

*Frank and Lisa are sunbathing*

Frank: Not really. I’m still worried about Leanne.

Lisa: Sounds like you and your sister were very close.

Frank: We are. I’m just worried where she’ll end up.

Lisa: She’ll probably end up here.

Frank: I hope so too.

Lisa: How old is Leanne?

Frank: She’s 16.

Lisa: I need to tell you something too Frank.

Frank: What is it?

Lisa: I like you.

*Frank pulls Lisa close and kisses her*

Lisa: Why Frank. I didn’t know you were such a great kisser.

*Lisa and Frank dive into the water*

At Reefton Lakes, Kierain is settling in at Meg and Bill‘s house.

Kierain: Where’s Marty?

Meg: He’s gone to the shops to get some fish and chips for dinner.

Kierain: Okay then. *smiles*

Meg: What do you want to do tomorrow?

Kierain: I was going to the Reefton Lakes youth centre with Marty.

Meg: Sounds nice. Bill and I are going to my friend Joyce’s house for lunch. She lives just down the corner.

Kierain: Will you pick us up when you’ve finished?

Meg: Of course we will. *hugs Kierain*

*Marty and Bill return home with the fish and chips*

Marty: We’re back.

Bill: Come and get it.

*The family and Kierain sit down at the table and have their dinner*

Meg: I remember when you and Marty were both 12 and you both threw eggs at Cheryl Beemer because she called Kierain a nasty name.

(Flashback to 1982)

Cheryl: Hey Geaney! You’re a spastic!

Marty: LEAVE HIM ALONE CHERYL!

Cheryl: OR WHAT DOPEY?

Marty: THIS!! *throws several eggs at Cheryl*

Cheryl: ARGH! You’re ruining my dress!

Kierain: That’s what you get for picking on me you bitch! *throws an egg which catches Cheryl right in the face*

*Cheryl runs off crying*

Marty: Those were some fun times. Right Kez?

Kierain: Right Marty. Say, does Cheryl still live in Reefton Lakes?

Marty: Last I heard she dropped out in Year 10 because she was pregnant and moved to Tasmania with her boyfriend.

Kierain: At least, she won’t be able to bully us again. What about Tania Martin?

Marty: She’s moved too. But in Townsville.

*Kierain breathes a sigh of relief*

Meg: You look very relived Kierain.

Kierain: I am Mrs J. *smiles* Boy, I am.

Marilyn is minding the store for Lisa while she’s at the beach with Frank. Kelly comes out of her flat to talk to Marilyn.

Marilyn: Hi Kelly.

Kelly: Hey Maz.

Marilyn: Did Sgt Barnett find your stolen items yet?

Kelly: I hate to say this, but no. *sighs sadly*

Marilyn: I just don’t understand why someone would do this to you. I mean, you’ve only just moved to Summer Bay a few days ago.

Kelly: I don’t get it either. But I’m on the hunt for whoever robbed my house. And when I find them, they are going to feel the wrath of Kelly Kapowski.

*Bernadette enters the store*

Bernadette: Hi Maz. Where do you keep the magazines? I want the latest issue of Cosmopolitan.

Marilyn: Over there Bernadette. *points to the magazine rack*

Bernadette: Thanks.

*Kelly notices that Bernadette is wearing her earrings*

Kelly: Excuse me?

Bernadette: Oh hi. You must be Kelly. I’m Bernadette Willows. It’s nice to meet you.

Kelly: Likewise. Anyway, just answer me this question.

Bernadette: I’m listening.

Kelly: Did you rob my house?

Bernadette: No.

Kelly: Because you are wearing my earrings, which my deceased mother gave to me on my Sweet 16th birthday!

Bernadette: I’m being honest Kelly. I didn’t take it. Vicki Baxter gave them to me. She also gave some of my friends gifts as well.

Kelly: Like what?

Bernadette: She gave Julie Tattersall a CD player, Karen Fischer a gold bracelet, Alyce Davis a cosmetics bag and Sharyn Taylor two hundred and fifty dollars in cash.

Kelly: Are you saying that Vicki broke into my house?

Bernadette: Karen and I overheard her tell Sharyn about it.

*Kelly looks shocked*

Kelly: I am really sorry for my accusation towards you Bernadette.

Bernadette: That’s okay. *gives the earrings back to Kelly*

Kelly: Do you know where Vicki lives? Because I’m going to give her a piece of my mind!

Kelly: Are you Vicki Baxter?

Vicki: Yes?

Kelly: I WANT TO KNOW WHY YOU BROKE INTO MY HOUSE AND STOLE SOME OF MY VALUABLE ITEMS!!

Vicki: GO DIE!!!

*Kelly grabs Vicki by her shirt*

Kelly: WHAT DID YOU SAY SLAG??

Vicki: All right. All right. I did break into your house. How did you know anyway?

Kelly: Let's just say one of your friends told me bitch!

*Vicki's mother hears the whole conversation and charges out of the house*

Mrs Baxter: VICTORIA MAY BAXTER!!!

(Mrs Baxter grabs Vicki and takes her to the cops)

Barnett: Is there a problem Thelma?

Mrs Baxter: I found your burglar!

Natalie: 18 year old Vicki Baxter was remanded at Wentworth jail to stand trial in November.

At the Fletcher house, Lyndz goes over to Pippa who's watching Prime Local News

Lyndz: Hey Pip. How are you?

Pippa: I'm okay. Are you ready to tell the others about what you told me the other night?

Lyndz: I guess.

(Pippa organises a family meeting with Tom, Fliss, Bobby, Carly, Steven, Rosie, Sally and Frankie)

Pippa: Lyndz wants to tell us all something.

Lyndz: I want to say that you've all been such great people to me since I came to Summer Bay. But the truth is, I'm a lesbian.

Sally: What's a lesbian?

Lyndz: Well Sal. Remember how Frank likes girls?

Sally: Yes. He and Lisa have been smooching lately

*Pippa looks shocked*

Lyndz: ANYWAY! Lesbian just means I like girls too.

*Frankie doesn't take this well*

The next day, Kierain and Marty are getting ready to go to the Reefton Lakes youth centre.

Meg: We should be back from Joyce's around 2pm.

Kierain: Okay Mrs J.

*Meg drives Kierain and Marty to the youth centre*

Kierain/Marty: Thanks.

*Meg drives off*

Kierain: What shall we do first Marty?

Marty: Dunno, but I do know there's a talent thing in a few days. You should get a group and enter. You'd win.

Meg: Hey come on over for lunch later. Some of my friends from work will be there and I’m sure Mrs Davidson would love to see you.

At the diner, Mary is hanging out with Fliss, Karen, Lyndz and Bernadette.

Mary: So Frankie and Rosie have been sent to another foster home?

Natalie: Good evening, I’m Natalie Forrest. First tonight, NSW Police have reported an alarming rise in teenagers aged 13-19 running away from home due to being unhappy. They include local girls Barbra Piers and Geri Weaver. Anita Baltovska has more.

Bobby: OI! WHAT ABOUT OUR BROTHER DOPEY?!?

Pippa: *crying* He's in Reefton Lakes Bobby!

*On the TV, Anita is reporting on the story*

Anita: Barbra Piers was last seen leaving the Summer Bay community hall after attending a friend's party on the night of April 26, 1985. Geri Weaver was last seen waiting for a bus in Mangrove River four months ago. Both girls haven't been found. Anita Baltovska, Prime Local News.

Melissa: *to Bobby* You remember Barbie?

Bobby: Not very well.

(Flashback to April 26, 1985 - Summer Bay High)

Melissa: Hey Barbie. Looking forward to Jill Walker's party tonight?

Melissa: She seemed so happy that night. Then a week later, her parents report her missing. I just don't understand it Mary.

Over at Reefton Lakes, Kierain has fallen asleep in Meg‘s armchair

Meg: *thinking to herself* I better take him home.

*Meg picks Kierain up and puts him in his wheelchair before taking him back home. She then phones Pippa*

Pippa: Summer Bay Caravan Park?

Meg: Hello Pippa.

Pippa: How is he Meg?

Meg: I've just taken him home. He fell asleep in my armchair.

Pippa: How come?

Meg: He was pretty tired after Joyce and the ladies left. How's the situation with Frankie and Rosie?

Pippa: They are dead to me Meg.

Meg: I see. You have a good night.

Pippa: Night Meg.

*they hang up*

At the Blaxland Mansion, Morag is trying to get some dirt on Kelly.

Morag: Find anything Nigel?

Nigel: Nothing. She has a clean bill of health.

Morag: I see. Well then. It appears that I'll have to take matters into my own hands. There is no way that little derelict will become mayor. I, Morag Bellingham, will be Summer Bay Council's NEW MAYOR!!!
