*Meg quickly writes in her Science book and shows it to Julia when she walks in*

*Julia walks away*
Meg: Now. *continuing to read* Police also claim that Ms Midler’s Holden Camira was unregistered.
*Meg spreads it around the street*
Meg: This’ll shake Kierain Geaney in his boots.
*When he returns from Kath’s, Dorothy rushes over.*
Dorothy: Oh Kierain. I’m sorry to tell you this, but…*hands Kierain the article*

Dorothy: It says here that the police have confirmed it.
*Kierain’s colour fades*

When Melanie arrives home, Belinda goes over to her.
Belinda: Where have you been Melanie?
Melanie: I was over at Vicki’s.
Belinda: You do realise it’s a school night?
Melanie: *sarcastically* Oh, I didn’t know that. I must’ve been so busy taking my painkillers!
Belinda: Drop the sarcasm, young lady.
Melanie: As if anyone in this house would believe me anyway!

Melanie: I didn’t take one painkiller tonight. I was at Vicki’s watching TV! If you don’t believe me, then get nicked! *storms off*

Chris enters the Mount Thomas police station.
Rose: Hello Chris. What brings you here today?
Chris: Have there been any car accidents today?
Rose: Whereabouts?
Chris: Heading to the MCG where Bette is performing.
Rose: There was one last night in Ballarat, but that involved a Toyota Corolla and Mazda 323.
Chris: Who was driving?
Rose: The woman driving the Toyota was a 38 year-old woman from Bacchus Marsh - she was killed instantly. The driver of the Mazda was a 22 year-old man from Wendouree. He's in a critical condition.
Chris: So, it wasn’t Bette?
Rose: I’m confused. What does Bette have to do with last night’s fatal car crash?
Chris: SOMEONE'S been running around saying she was killed in a car crash.
Rose: How's poor Kierain taking it?
Chris: How do you think?
Rose: I’ll investigate it, Chris. It DEFINITELY isn’t true about Bette.
*Lynda runs in*

*Chris gets in her car and drives off*
(At another part of Mount Thomas, Chris observes a tree reading "Kierain Waz Here September 26, 1989”)
Chris: He was here too.

Bette returns to her hotel to find Kierain asleep on the bench.

Kierain: But you died....car accident. You are Donna.
Bette: No, I’m Bette! I was never in a car accident.
Kierain: If you're Bette, then what happened to me at 5am on September 7, 1988?
Bette: You crashed into a semi on Old Bay Road.
Kierain: Bette! *hugs her*

*Kierain shows her the article*

Bette: WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?!? OH, I SEE! UNTIL YOU FIND A PLACE THAT HAS WHEELCHAIR ACCESS FOR NEXT YEAR’S PICNIC, DON’T CALL ME AGAIN!!!
*Bette slams the phone down as Mary walks in*
Mary: Miss Midler?
Bette: Oh, hi Mary. *sighs angrily*
Mary: Is something the matter?
Bette: I have idiot picnic planners. They have decided to pick the Royal Botanic Gardens as the spot for my annual picnic next year, but the place doesn’t have wheelchair access for my honey.
Mary: That’s slack. How about The Rocks?
Bette: That place has no wheelchair access either. Besides, most venues in Sydney have been booked out.
Mary: I was wondering where Kierain is?
Bette: He’s in his room. I think it would be a good idea to take care of him. He’s a bit down ever since…you know.
Mary: You have a rocking chair?
Bette: It’s in the spare room.
*Mary goes in the spare room to find Kierain asleep in his wheelchair*

Jacqueline: Okay. Due to the flooding that’s occurred in Hartley, our new roommates Rose Malouf and Jack Tran will arrive tomorrow.

Judy: Good thing this mansion has plenty of rooms.
Jacqueline: In other news, Kimberley has something very important to tell us.
Kimberley: I’m officially moving to Los Angeles to become an actress.
*The roomies applaud her*

Grace: We should throw you a farewell party.

That afternoon, Melanie arrives home from school and locks herself in the bathroom.

*Melanie takes some painkillers and washes it down with water*

*Melanie quickly disposes of the painkiller bottle and heads to her room*

*As Melanie goes to check her phone, Amy storms in*
Amy: All right. Where is it?
Melanie: Where’s what?
Amy: The headache tablets!

Amy: They were in the medicine cabinet and now they are gone!
Melanie: You know what, Amy? Stop blaming me for stuff I didn’t even take! *storms off*

(Meanwhile at Celia’s op shop, a girl between 16-19 years old wanders around the shop.)
Celia: Can I help you, young lady?

Celia: Just through there. *shows the girl where the shoes are*

*As Coral D tries to take Lil to the garage, the former foster mother decides to have her say*

Hilary: What did they do to him?
Coral D: Dodge and Emma bullied him mercilessly, while Agnes was a crap social worker.
Hilary: Wasn’t Emma his girlfriend before Cody?
Coral D: Yes.
Hilary: But you are known to try and kidnap him.
*Coral D bawls her eyes out upon hearing this*
Hilary: Well?
*Coral D continues to weep*
Coral D: No.
Hilary: I call Julie Martin.
*Julie takes the stand*
Julie: Hilary.
Hilary: Do you like Kierain?
Julie: I was jealous of him at first, but now I love him to bits.
Hilary: Why jealous?
Julie: I’m not too sure. I was going through a rebellious stage at the time.
Hilary: But so was he.
Julie: Different personalities, Hilary.
Hilary: So, how did you make peace with Kierain?
Julie: After he beat up a bully for teasing Hannah.
Hilary: I see. Name one person who causes Kierain the most grief.
Julie: MEG!
Hilary: Thank you, Julie. Next, I'd like to call Toddy Landers.
*Some people giggle as Todd goes up*
Hilary: Now, do you remember Darren Millane?!?
Todd: Yeah. Why?
Hilary: Now, where were you the night he died? Oh, that’s right. You took off somewhere and Kierain had to look after your sister.
Todd: I don’t get it?
Hilary: BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPIDITY, KIERAIN HAS LOST AN IDOL!!! HE WOULD’VE DRIVEN DARREN HOME IF YOU DIDN’T REBEL!!!
Todd: Yeah, but…
Hilary: BUT WHAT?!?

Bette: Yelled at him, said she hated him and called him trash.
Hilary: Okay. Thank you Miss Midler. I'll be back with a final decision in half an hour.
*Julie starts yelling at Todd*
Julie: HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY, TODD!!!
Todd: What?
Julie: ABOUT DARREN MILLANE!
Todd: It was an accident.
Julie: OH BULL!
Helen: Darling, I don’t think this is the place.
Julie: YOU SHOULD GO KILL YOURSELF!!!
*Hilary drags Lil in*
Hilary: Now, final statements Alessi twins.
*Caroline stands up*
Caroline: I’ll give you mine.
Christina: I’ll give you mine as well.
*they hand their final statements to Hilary*
*Hilary rips up Christina’s!*
Hilary: After careful deliberation, I hereby declare that Lillian Stokes be banished from Australia and be mentally assessed.
*Christina is NOT happy!*
Christina: But Kierain needs a strict curfew for his rebellious behaviour!
*Kierain interjects*
Kierain: Excuse me? But I believe mock trials have no actual bearing on the law.
*Christina gulps*
Caroline: He’s got you there, Chrissie.
Hilary: Does that mean we can’t do anything to Lillian?
Lil: That’s right! So long suckers!
Kierain: Stop her Gran!
*Coral D does so*
Kierain: Hey Todd. Where'd I dump my water gun?
Todd: Here you go! *throws the water gun to Kierain*
Lil: DON'T! Please! I'm sorry!
Kierain: Paul, where’s that house paint?
Paul: Here. *gives the paint to Kierain*
Kierain: OUTSIDE!
Julie: Gran, what's going on?
Helen: Who knows?
(Outside, Lil begs again.)
Lil: Please. I’m sorry!
Kierain: ATTACK!
*Lil ends up covered in paint*
Kierain: Never mess with Kierain Geaney!
*Coral D carries Lil away*
Julie: I wonder where she’s taking her?
(Coral D throws Lil out of town)

*She then returns to Kierain*

On Friday morning, Jack and Rose decide to meet some of the teens in the Bay as Jacqueline and the Roomies are going down to Kiama for the day.

Rose: I can’t believe we’ve been in Summer Bay for nearly a week and we haven’t met anyone.

Jack: I know. Everyone’s at school, uni or TAFE these days.

Rose: Or working. *smiles*

Jack: I’m thinking of joining the local rugby team. I hear they play every Saturday.

Rose: Footy season’s over.

Jack: Damn!

Rose: I’m sure you’ll make some cool friends.

Jack: What about you?

Rose: Oh, I’ll make friends too.

*As they kiss, they notice the mysterious girl “Angel” climb through the front window of the mansion*

Rose: HEY YOU!

*”Angel” quickly descends out the window, but Rose tackles her to the ground*

“Angel”: Let me go! I haven’t done anything wrong?

Rose: Break and enter!

“Angel”: Please let me explain.

Jack: I think she’s genuine.

*Rose gives Jack a sharp look*

Rose: We’ll see about that!

*Rose drags “Angel” inside*

Rose: What’s your name?

“Angel”: None of your business.

Rose: Do I have to get nasty?!?

“Angel”: Fine, it’s Chantelle Fields.

Rose: Now, we’re getting somewhere! Go on.

*Chantelle looks scared*

(At Coral D’s, she is bonding with Kierain.)

Coral D: I’ve told everyone not to come near you today. I just want it to be you and me.

Kierain: Gran?

Coral D: Yes sweetie?

Kierain: Why did Tom and Lil treat me like dirt?

Coral D: Because they are both unfit parents.

Kierain: I reckon.

Coral D: I think you’re a nice person.

Kierain: Oh thanks Gran.

Coral D: What would you like for lunch?

Kierain: Fish and chips?

Coral D: I can do that, no worries.

*Coral D places Kierain at the dining table and prepares to cook his lunch*

Coral D: I love you, my darling grandson.

Kierain: Love ya too, Gran.

*they hug*

Back at the Blaxland Mansion, Rose and Jack are asking Chantelle more questions.

Rose: Where are you from?

Chantelle: I’m originally from Noranda, a suburb in Perth.

Jack: Why did you leave Western Australia?

Chantelle: My family and I moved to Bathurst about four years ago.

Rose: Where are they now?

Chantelle: My “parents” are nothing but liars!

Jack: Why?

Chantelle: They told me I was adopted out. I left home and told them that I was never coming back. I’ve been out on the streets for about six months now, drifting from place to place.

*Rose looks sympathetic*

Rose: How did you survive?

Chantelle: I steal things. I know it’s a crime, but…

Rose: You know what? Jack and I will help you out.

Chantelle: You will?

Jack: Of course. *they smile*

(At Bombo Beach in Kiama, Jacqueline and the Roomies are swimming in the water.)

Jacqueline: This is fun.

Judy: It’s a shame Jack and Rose couldn’t come.

David: I know.

*Adrian giggles*

Grace: What’s funny Adrian?

Adrian: Nothing.

Vanessa: I just love the crystal clear water.

*A big wave surrounds them*

Lori: Let’s get something to eat.

Jacqueline: Sounds great.

Jillian: You guys go ahead. I’ll stay here.

Judy: Okay.

*they leave for the kiosk*

Jillian: I love my life.

*Jillian suddenly gets caught in a rip*

Jillian: HELP! HELP ME!

*Jillian tries to call for help, but ends up drowning*

(Later that afternoon, Jack and Rose return home from the diner, having met some of the teens.)

Rose: Those people sure were nice.

Jack: Yeah. I knew we’d make great friends in this town.

Rose: We’re off to the city tomorrow night.

Jack: Clubbing all night! Yeah!

*Chantelle comes downstairs as they kiss*

Chantelle: Get a room guys. *smiles*

Rose: What did you get up to while we were gone?

Chantelle: I decided to take a nap.

*Jacqueline runs through the front door. She is crying*

Rose: Jackie?

Jacqueline: Oh Jack and Rose. *sobs*

Jack: What’s wrong?

Jacqueline: Jillian drowned at the beach. She’s dead. *cries*

*Jack, Rose and Chantelle look shocked*
