No sure if its been mentioned here but the show will be off air for 3 weeks over the Christmas period on Five. The final episode will be Friday 18th December and it will return on Monday 11th January 2010

I remember the days when it didnt take a break in the UK and we even got an episode on Christmas Day - obviously now we are catching up with Oz we need to take a 4 week break in the Summer and 3 week break over Christmas.

Why do we have to be so behind? <_<

I'm not suggesting we should be at Aus pace, but saying that it would be so much better if we we're maybe just a week behind.

Will we be in the new year 2 weeks behind???

I hate waiting, so usually I always end up watching the current eps on youtube.

Now that HAA have taken a break, I'm back to watching five.

I love Christmas, but the downer is no Home and Away :(

Though Eastenders special to always look forward to :P

Well, given that Home and Away's off the air in Australia at the moment, they'd have to take it off at some point because I don't think it'll be back before we would have finished the 2009 episodes. When they take it off, there'll only be three weeks worth left to air(one less than last year).I suspect it'll be back to two weeks behind when the show returns in Aus but I guess we'll have to wait and see.I'd rather have two shorter breaks than have it off for about two months over Christmas.

They seem to be focusing on a lot of the key/important episodes throughout the year with regards to the mystery and characters like Angelo in addition to other important stories/episodes like Roman/Gardy & Belle.

They are doing double bills everyday on Fiver - 10-11am each day and then repeated 6-7pm the same night

This is what I have found so far with regards to the episodes -

Monday 21st December -

Summer Bay bids a fond farewell to a much-loved policeman as Jack's funeral takes place. But Martha's chance to say goodbye is marred by her husband's killer, Angelo, who attends the funeral. Charlie convinces Martha that letting Angelo attend is the only way to catch him. Unfortunately, the police's sting operation goes awry, and it looks like Angelo may escape justice once again

While Angelo admits to his part in Jack's murder to a sickened Charlie, Hugo discovers Xavier's drug dealing. Kirsty must choose between her husband and her current beau when Kane comes out of hospital determined to reclaim his wife and family. But it seems that her choice has already been taken out of her hands when Kane calls on Miles and convinces him that if he loves Kirsty at all he should let her be with her husband and son.

Tuesday 22nd December -

Aden is in turmoil after sleeping with Nicole, messing things up with Belle and being kicked out of his home. So, when he finds Belle's old drug dealer, Russal, he smashes him against a wall, disrupting a drug deal just as the police arrive. To make matters worse, Russal manages to escape the scene. Miles finally persuades Roman to see a counsellor, but it doesn't do any good. Later, Miles and VJ make a gruesome discovery on the beach.

A severed hand is washed up on the beach - the result of a shark attack. Charlie tries to keep the news quiet, but it's a small town and news travels fast. Marine Area Command is called in to investigate, and Charlie is shocked to discover that Angelo Rosetta - Jack's killer - is heading up the task force. Hugo becomes uncomfortable after he realises he has very strong feelings for Martha, who has become increasingly reliant upon him. Nicole and Trey swap stories about their difficult fathers.

Wednesday 23rd December -

Angelo's return is met with hostility by his fellow police officers. Tony is irate and warns Angelo to stay away from Martha, who has only just gotten her life back together. Martha is fearful of seeing Angelo and can't bring herself to go home. Instead, she spends a lonely night out at the farm. Meanwhile, Xavier is anxious when Hugo doesn't return from his diving trip. After going missing for an entire day, Hugo returns, but he is badly wounded and collapses on his boat.

Martha is frozen to the spot in fear when Angelo visits her to apologise. Roman continues to be haunted by nightmares and flashbacks. Nicole is left shocked by her father's aggression, following a particularly violent episode. Although Hugo has survived the night on his boat, he needs urgent medical attention. But he doesn't seem to be in any hurry to seek it.

Thursday 24th December - (Not repeated at 6-7pm that night)

Roman tips off the police to try and derail Gardy's warehouse robbery plans, but is in grave danger when Gardy learns of his deception. Miles, meanwhile, is torn over whether or not to give up Gardy, despite his threats towards Kirsty, Jai and Ollie. Nicole decides she has had enough of being evicted from her own home, and plans to move back in with Roman - only to end up sleeping with Trey when she discovers that Roman is out.

Irene is released from jail and returns home, but a nasty encounter with Donna De Bono on the beach soon has Irene reaching for some alcohol. Roman and Gardy are back at the warehouse on the wharf to have another go at their previously aborted robbery. But when Gardy insists that innocent people must die, Roman knows the only way to save them is to fight Gardy. Meanwhile, Charlie searches the entire town for Roman and Gardy.

Monday 28th December -

After Roman's insubordination during their robbery attempt, Roman and Gardy face each other at gunpoint. The stalemate is broken when Gardy shoots Roman in the arm. But while Gardy is distracted, Roman flees and a game of cat and mouse ensues. Charlie eventually thinks of looking for the fugitives at the warehouse - will the police arrive in time? Meanwhile, Annie pours Irene's alcohol away. But it's a step too far for Irene, and she slaps Annie while attempting to retrieve the bottle.

With Gardy now on the run, Roman reveals everything about his involvement with Gardy and the robberies to Charlie. Charlie thinks a good lawyer will help Roman's chances, but Roman believes he is going to prison for a very long time. He asks Miles to look after Nicole, before telling Nicole the whole story. Rachel worries about Tony's odd behaviour. He has agreed to go fishing with Angelo - Jack's killer - and he doesn't seem to be interested in his baby's development at all.

Thanks for the info.I was going to say that they seem to have forgotten about the first half of the year but actually all of those were from the first half, albeit only just, the first four months are somewhat under-represented.(If they're trying to remind us what this mystery storyline was all about, why not show the stuff from the island, which was at least eight or nine months ago?)If they're showing them in order, we could end up with a last week full of very recent stuff.

I do have the schedules for the remainder of the break....

Tuesday 29th:

Claudia assures Geoff that the baby is his, but Lachie refuses to leave the couple alone, telling Geoff that he would be with Claudia if it wasn't for him. When Miles tells Alf that he is thinking about having kids, Kirsty is annoyed that he is telling people when she is still not sure if she wants children. An awkward situation arises when Rachel and Tony invite Hugo, Martha, Miles and Kirsty to dinner.

Jai and Xavier panic after Jai is accidentally shot by Xavier. Even though Jai is bleeding, neither of them wants to get into trouble and before Rachel can examine Jai at the hospital, they flee. After Martha kisses Hugo, Martha decides it is time to say a final goodbye to Jack. Geoff and Claudia are still living under the same roof after their break-up, and the tension is unbearable. Even so, Geoff worries about how Lachie's angry mood will affect Claudia.

Wednesday 30th:

When Aden refuses Clint's request that Geoff not play in the next rugby game, Nicole and Geoff find Aden bloodied and bruised on the beach. Aden confesses eveything to Belle, including his plans to get an engagement ring. Leah and Colleen suspect that Kirsty is trying for a baby. Trey is finally allowed to go on the trek, but even though he looks happy, Trey trawls the internet for bomb-making websites.

Aden is shocked by Belle's proposal, but when he suggests they should save up for a big wedding, Belle insists they get married as soon as possible. Rachel is puzzled when she hears that Aden and Belle are getting engaged so quickly. Is Belle keeping a secret? When Irene admits to Aden that the boat business is going under, Gibbsy steps in to help.

Thursday 31st:

Rachel worries about Tony's absence when she goes into labour. Tony eventually arrives at the hospital, but the baby is in distress. Meanwhile, Aden asks Nicole to be his 'best man' at his wedding. Although she's initially reluctant, Nicole decides to accept. But when she visits Aden to tell him, she finds Belle taking pills. To stop Nicole from telling Aden that she's gone back to abusing drugs, Belle is forced to tell Nicole the truth: she's dying.

After learning that Belle refuses to tell Aden of her terminal illness, Nicole backs out of being Aden's 'best man'. Even though she doesn't agree with what Belle is doing, Nicole does keep from telling Aden the truth. But she is unable to keep the secret after Belle collapses and is rushed to hospital. Aden is devastated by the news and refuses to see Belle when she discharges herself from hospital

Monday 4th:

Belle is shut out by Aden after he finds out about her terminal illness. He is shocked and distraught to learn that the love of his life is dying. Later, Belle anxiously waits at the church, not knowing whether Aden will turn up to marry her. Meanwhile, Angelo plans a picnic for Charlie, but she is run over by a car while on her way to see him.

Hugo confronts Angelo when he sees the policeman following him, but it seems that Angelo may be after the wrong man when Hugo catches Gibbsy and Squid acting suspiciously. Nicole finds it hard to cope when she spends the day with Belle, who is feeling much worse than she is letting on.

Tuesday 5th:

Belle's condition is deteriorating rapidly, and it seems that the end is fast approaching. Aden and Belle agree that her last days should be sent at home, but Amanda insists Belle be taken back to hospital to continue her treatment. However, Sid and Rachel conspire to get Belle discharged, and Belle is taken back to Irene's, where she says her final goodbyes to family and friends.

While Belle's friends and family watch on as she is laid to rest, a series of flashbacks reveal Belle's final farewells. But a drug-addled Liam interrupts the funeral when he knocks over a stand. It takes the joint efforts of Geoff, Sid and Alf to send him on his way. Later, Aden and Nicole argue when Aden insists Belle's necklace be buried with her, even though Belle gave it to Nicole. Nicole can't cope with Aden's anger or her own grief and finds comfort in Liam, who has enough drugs to help her forget.

Wednesday 6th:

Angelo explains to Charlie the real reason why he has returned to Summer Bay, while Nicole and Liam's one-night stand looks like developing into a proper relationship. Elsewhere, Xavier demands that Geoff steer clear of Ruby.

Charlie remains unconvinced that Hugo is involved in people smuggling, despite Angelo's best efforts. Martha worries about her campaign, so challenges Palmer to a public debate. But could the emergence of a poster showing Martha pole dancing ruin her chances of victory? Meanwhile, Robertson tells Hugo that he knows Xavier's alibi for Charlie is fake.

Thursday 7th:

Rachel takes Kirsty to the hospital after she collapses while looking after Harry. Doctors reassure Kirsty that her baby is fine, but they're not sure why she fainted. Hugo discovers that the schooner is missing, and sets out with Angelo to find it. But the pair make a chilling discovery.

Martha comforts Hugo, who is shaken by the discovery of the bodies in the sunken boat. Angelo suspects that Hugo was involved in people-smuggling, and catches Clint at the docks. Kirsty is shattered by the news that she's lost her baby, and Leah feels responsible as it was her cooking that gave Kirsty food poisoning. Jai offers his place on the exchange trip to Annie.

Friday 8th:

Xavier and Romeo discover a little boy called Bambang and take him to Martha, who looks after him while the police search for his parents. Recognising the boy as Clint's son, Angelo hatches a plan to use him as bait. Geoff and Ruby bask in the revelation of their feelings for one another. But Ruby worries about Xavier's reaction to their new relationship.

John apologises to Gina for his behaviour, and convinces her to go surfing with him. Geoff's concerns about Ruby's health put unnecessary pressure on their new relationship. Martha sees Hugo arguing with a woman who claims to be his wife. Meanwhile, Angelo decides to investigate Hugo's past in the wake of the sunken boat disaster.
