I don't think there was any big plan, I think they were always there for 5 weeks to do their storyline and then disappear, just another set of guest characters that vanish just as we get interested in them.

The mother was more of a plot device that flitted in and out than a character and Dexter came across as a poor man's Jai, being inexperienced and slightly fey but lacking the charm or humour.I wish the other two had stayed though.Every time Indi had a scene with a guy(Geoff, Aden, Xavier)I thought they'd make an interesting couple but instead she just hung around with Nicole for a few weeks then left.Sid was a potentially good father figure and I'd have liked to have seen more of him trying to build a relationship with his children.But sadly that's the way it seems to have been for quite a while now.

I hope the writers reconsider writing them back in. I enjoyed watching them

I think Sid had a lot of potential but I didn't care for the mother really. They could have left Sid and Indigo in Usually I'd prefer more mature characters and less teens but Indigo was pretty ok.
