_chris70_ Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Quick question, does anyone know if it was the original intention of the producers to keep the Walker family on the show as permanent, or atleast elements of the family?? It seems (like with the Pier Diner) they went to a lot of trouble to develop the family and then in two minutes they were gone. Sid could have been used as a device to explore the effects of recent troubles on Nicole, but the others??
Romeo Smith fan Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Im not sure but think its a shame the entire family didnt stay - they were brilliant characters.
DinerLandlord Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 I'm surprised how much I liked them, I thought I would hate them at first. There is definitely room in the cast for the two kids now that Belle and Jai are gone. The father was kind of a dark character, which I always like to see in H&A.
flea Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Agreed, I feel the biggest mistake that H&A made this year was getting rid of the 3 main Walkers (I never liked the mom). Dexter, Indigo and Sid all had interesting and like able things about them, something that many of the current cast sadly lack. Those three should all be brought back as soon as possible.
Zetti Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 ^^ Normally the idea of more teens is not my thing but I want them back!
chasingstarlight Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 I agree. I really grew to like them, even Sid , and I thought the interaction of the other teens with Indi and Dex was interesting. I think it would be cool to see Indi and Dex come back and have a Annie/Romeo/Dex triangle.
Slade Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 I really liked the Walkers and was actually quite gutted they got rid of them so quickly. With Indigo I really liked her character in OOTB so maybe I was a bit biased towards the actress but I still thought she was a much needed younger female character (especially after Belle’s death there was only really Annie and Nicole). I quite liked the stuff with Nicole and rather than going back to the city with Jodi I would have preferred if Indy stayed with Sid and tried to sort things out with her former “Bessie”. I didn’t like Dexter as much as Indigo but still quite liked him and would have liked to have seen how things turned out with Annie because I felt she and Jai’s relationship had run its course so at least Dexter was something different. I also didn’t mind the interaction with Dexter and Xavier and again it was another friend apart from Jai. I didn’t like Sid at first but grew to like and respect him. I felt sorry for him during the debacle with Nicole and he took everything like a true gent. I also quite liked that deep voice he had for some reason. I felt there was potential for a lot of storylines especially with the whole single parent brining up two teenagers thing. It’s a shame because the younger characters at the moment aren’t that great. Anyway as someone mentioned above I still don’t quite understand why they went to the trouble of bringing in a new family to get rid of them so quickly.
KirstyEkua Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 The only one i really liked was Sid. He was dark and edgy and i think they could have done a lot with him. I liked the story he had with Nicole and feel they could have really pushed boundaries with that. I don't think i saw enough of Dexter to really draw an opinion on him, although he didn't seem terribly exciitng.
Lesley Bee Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 I would have liked to see them stay a bit longer, i think they could have had a lot of potential
Danni02 Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 I didnt like any of the Walkers. Im not really sure what their purpose was either....
