The Boring Austin Family

The two Austins I really can't stand are Xavier and Hugo. I like Gina (maybe not her taste in men) and Brendan.

I tried to give this family a chance, but no, they do nothing for me.

Hugo might have been interesting, if they didn't pair him with Martha, and have him play house with her. But I guess being paired wih her guarantees screne time, which to me isn't better than interesting sl.

But Xavier and Gina are beyond dull, seriously.

I like them,

they have ties with the bay, (tony)

they are not too weird and wonderful but normally dysfunctional

and i personally rate xavier as a character considering he hasnt really had his own plot line he normally is just a device in someone elses

but i have to say him and romeo make me laugh as they look like theyre 3/4 years between them lol

and gina, the speed of the storyline that lead to her becoming principal threw me a little bit that isnt the character or the actresses fault

so i am looking forward to what they have to offer, but i dont like gina and john palmer I figured he was hanging around till tre got back but now i am not so sure, unless tre comes back and for some reason john has to look after him and tre and xavier have to become 'brothers'

I can't take much more of them. They are even worse without Hugo, I can't think of two more comatosing characters in the history of H&A like Gina & Xavier. I don't care about their relationship, I don't care about Xavier's money, I don't care that he always looks constipated.

The guy playing Xavier is dreadful dreadful actor. The character of Gina seems to be dead on the inside.

It's a pity because John Palmer is one of the more interesting older characters to come into H&A with a few years, he's absolutely wasted in storylines with these two.

It makes me feel ill.

Hugo was clearly bad from the beginning, I pride myself on having Never Liked Him. However, now he is gone, for now (I have no doubt he will be back sooner than anyone desires, unlike our lovely Vinnie who genuinely did disappear into witness protection) surely it is time for his horrid family to do one far away from the Bay. To be honest, they have already claimed Tony (always very much erring on the boring, but a good anchor-type character) and Rachael (who used to be brilliant) for the grey side. Who else are they going to draw into their web of dullness? It must be stopped.

And they can take John Palmer, who is truly the most objectionable character since Josh (and I am including Amanda, who redeemed herself purely by being Belle's mum), with them. Disgusting and offensive and nauseating.

On the next exciting Austin centric episode of Home & Away Uncle Tony wants the constipated one to take up boxing but Gina hates (well she hates most things including I'm beginning to think living) the idea and...and...

I love Gina but I think it really has become a bit Austin-centric.

Yeah I have to agree there's a bit too much of them. I'm a bit sick of Rachel talking to Gina and then Tony talking to Rachel about Gina, for Tony to then talk to Xavier, who talks to Gina who then talks to Tony about Xavier, who then goes and sulks about Palmer AGAIN.

So maybe I'm exaggerating a bit lol, but it feels like that sometimes.

I think they need to drop the whole Xavier having a constant issue with Palmer. He makes his mum happy, and she's hardly had the easiest time of it; he just comes off as a selfish brat a lot of the time.

There are too little about them.. Thats the reason why people can't connect with them. The show now seems to be sentered around Miles, Marilyn, Rabbit, Alf, Leah and Elijah.

I don't mind Gina but I just can't warm to Xavier I've tried but I just can't every scene with him in is so dull and him and Ruby together are so phony, zero chemistry.
