Snapp Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 God H&A has been absolute crap for the last few months but the ep that aired tonight in Ireland brought it to a new level. An episode that mainly revolved around the charismatic-less Austin family. The guy playing Brendan is very good and it is nice story but for guest characters to dominate the show like this really shows that something is up. The "actor" playing Xavier is one of the worst I've seen in H&A in years, I hope Ruby starts shagging Geoff but then we'd have to put up with more of a pitiful Xavier being pitiful. I hope the dull Mother takes her sons back to where ever they suddenly came from after Jack died. I say sack Mitch as producer and bring back whoever took over in the build up to Sally's exit. Those were a fab few months for the show.

Xavier is played by a dreadful actor, but the character doesn't p*ss me off as much as he used to. Brendan is good but doesn't have much scope for storylines. Gina is dull, I don't care about her at all.

Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 I don't think the Austin Family are boring, I just believe that not really any one them have been given very good storylines that make them appealing to audiences. Hugo's current storyline has just gone on too long and I lost interest. Tina becoming principal wasn't anything big. And Xavier, well now Ruby's with Geoff, the poor guy's part in the show is a bit pointless, that is unless the scriptwriters plan on giving him something genuinely interesting to do. The whole mess with 'Who killed Grant?' was something I suppose but not something I had an interest in watching. Ruby had some nerve asking Xavier to cover for her after the way she treated him. I don't particularly like her anymore!

Think it's a shame, as I like seeing an actual family on the show rather than random kids just moving in with Miles or Irene. Which was why I liked the Sutherlands, because it was a good way to show family interaction etc and get some decent storylines that way.

Plus there has been Hugo/Martha, Brendan/Ruby and now Gina/Palmer....and then theres whatever Hugo is involved with
