Best Farewell?

I think the farewell for Sally was the best. The concert was so good and the singing led by Annie was so appropriate and the fact that the producers invited Carly and Steven and Pippa all the special.

Sally's was good because it felt appropriate for Sally that a really big deal would be made out of her leaving. It wasn't my favourite though. Will and Gypsy's was my fave.

No I genuinely liked them, well Gypsy more than Will. I liked that they had a happy ending. I didn't think Will was the right guy for Dani anyway.

I agree, there's something that I got from Will and Gypsy's departure, more than any other departure on the show since I started watching, even actually Sally's actually is that it was an end of an era. It's hard to put into words, but it felt like they were the last of those late 90's character still there and the Bay was somehow a different place to what it once was if you catch my drift.

Sally's was my favourite as she has been in the show for so long, her farewell had to be special, though i loved Don Fishers farewell, when that special assembly was held for him. Don and Sallys were in my opinion the most planned!!

Whilst I think Sally's was an iconic moment and very poignant episode, I prefer Fisher's farewell episode. It had everything the character deserved, flashbacks, speeches, tears, laughter and really emotional music. Having said that, Sally got all of that (bar the flashbacks) but they were spread over a few days.

There are many farewell's that I've enjoyed and that are memorable to me, a lot of them were the traditional Summer Bay House goodbye, when the characters closest friends and family would gather outside the house or in the caravan park and there would be a couple of last words and a waving off as the car drives down the track - something about these always left you feeling uplifted and they ended the episode with a sense of sadness yet warmth, they were bitter sweet departures usually. They should bring these back, not that many characters leave on positive notes anymore..
