No celebrities in summer bay

Why doesn't summer bay feature any famous people at all, except perhaps Axle Whitehead?

Neighbours, by comparision has had a lot like Lily Allen, the wiggles and shane warne.

Becouse Home and away porducers dont need bring in famons people to get ratings.

Wasn't 2009 full of special guest stars who've appeared in Hollywood Movies?

wasn't Robert, the guy that played Sid, a fairly well known actor?

And then, as you mentioned, they've got Axle Whitehead at the moment

^Yeah Robert Mammone[sid] is a fairly well known actor in Aus,not sure about the rest of the world though.

They've had a few though none recently.Heath Ledger,John Farnham,Ian Thorpe...

As mentioned though,HAA don't need them to rate well where as Neighbours does.

I'd point out that Heath Ledger wasn't a celebrity when he was on Home and Away, he was merely a talented young actor.

I've seen the John Farnham cameo, and well, it's unbelievably cheesy.

As mentioned though,HAA don't need them to rate well where as Neighbours does.

Just to add that the ratings for Neighbours have gone down dramatically since they started pulling these types of stunts.

Possibly because there isn't that much point in putting stars in there. Neighbours put Andy & Lou from Little Britain in it and it looked silly.

Michael Palin (UK actor and travel expert) was on H&A in the days of Marilyn and Flathead.
