Actor's involvement in plotlines

Do the actors such as Rebecca, Esther and Josh get any say in what the plotlines should be?

I wouldn't have thought so; I imagine they would have to act out what the writers' do ...

They can add in their own lines here and there but as for the actual storylines,no i don't think so.They can suggest storylines,it was Cornelia's idea that Morag get married.I remember Holly saying she was uncomfortable with the idea of Amanda sleeping with Drew but still had to do it.
