Kaz81 Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Hi all, I'm new to this site and would like to ask if anyone knows how I can watch the Home & Away omnibus on Fiver that I missed on Saturday 5th Sept 09. I'm absolutely gutted that I missed it. I set it to record through the VHS off Sky, but for some reason it didn't tape I've missed a whole weeks worth and would like feedback as to how I can watch this. I know I can read updates on these episodes but surely not the same as actually watching it!! Please can you help advise what I should do, or if you know of anyone that has recorded this omnibus (episodes inc unknown) I would be very grateful. It was the big lead up to the bomb on the bus, and of course the 4 week break that we had. Really really really hope someone can help me Thankyou for the time in reading my post, Kaz x
grinch-girl Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 You are in luck Five has a lot of its shows available online to watch, including Home and Away for free! The last 30 days are available. http://demand.five.tv/Series.aspx?seriesBaseName=HomeAndAway

Slade Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Alternatively if you have a problem streaming the episodes for some reason you can download them from Current Australian Episodes 2009. Last weeks episodes were 4901-4905. You should find them at the following links: Link 1 Link 2

Kaz x No problem I'm surprised you hadn't heard about demand five, they advertise it quite a bit and mention it as soon as the credits come up, but i suppose if you only watch omnibus thats only one set of credits and you may turn off then. It's a good service, they have Neighbours eps too, and some other five shows.
Kaz81 Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 OH NO - I'm gutted, you need Adobe Flash Player and I've tried installing it like a thousand times LOL, and it gets to the download stage but asks for a "Proxy address and port" - what is that all about??? I select "No Proxy" and it doesn't download anyway, so looks like I'm gonna have to try something else This is soooooo very distressing since all I wanna do is catch up on my fave soap LOL! Back to square 1 - HELPPPPPPPP ! Kaz x

Slade Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 I presume you got it from the following link: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ A “Proxy” is what a lot of companies/organisations use to control and monitor internet usage. If you are a home user you probably won’t be using one so you were wise to select “No proxy”. The problem could be any number of things. If you refer to the links and the episode numbers I provided above you can download them and watch them on Windows Media player. Good luck!
grinch-girl Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 It didn't work for me at first i don't think, it only works with Firefox browser on mine not another one i was using, i don't know if that will make any difference to you?
