Kirsty was almost raped like 3 times but someone always came or or she got away 1) When Kirsty goes and see's Kane in hospital Kirsty hitchhikes some guy picks up Kirsty and says that the lift wasnt free but she got away and stole his keys and went on the run from the cops (it was only in the H&A video) 2) At the palace some guy got her Dani came running in and started screamming get oh her Kane 3) At the surfclub some guy was doing something cant really remember but he would have done something if Kane didnt come out & i never knew Haylie was who by?
WillowsTara Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 I believe it was when Noah was still alive, I think James or Brad or something raped her, infact I got a story on fanfiction that was based on when Hayley was raped and the guy who did it returned, if the internet wasn't so damn slow I would go find it for you and see who it was. And yeah it does seem like there's alot, although some like Rachel and Charlie happened in thier past, plus this is Summer Bay, people have died even more times then raped and characters have ended up in jhospitial not to mention have thier lives on the line even much more, I would make a list but that would be very long.

Women and children (and some men) get sexually assaulted/abused/raped all the time, people just don't want to talk about it, because it is seen as shameful, and because the majority of these cases sadly do not lead to a conviction for the perpetrator.

However, I think a problem occurs when we have 3 or 4 rape/sexual assault victims/storylines appearing in the same year. I know it happens in real life, but as a dramatic device, it runs the risk of desensitizing the audience to what is a serious issue. What should be shocking becomes something that some of us can feel blase about. "Oh, another rape story. How orignal " I think they've tried to combat that recently by giving us something we haven't seen before: the unabashed use of the word "rape."
