chasingstarlight Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Shorter credits means you get more time for ads, which means more money for the networks. Pretty much all the US shows have gone to having title cards at the beginning of a show instead of opening credits. It's the way of TV nowadays, and it has been that way for a few years in the US now, I guess Australia is now starting to catch up with that trend. I bet Neighbours will eventually end up doing the same thing. It's cheaper too, instead of having to film and edit new credits every time a cast member comes or goes.
alexx Posted December 6, 2009 Report Posted December 6, 2009 I was wondering if the helicopter sweeping shots of Palm Beach used in the 2010 promo may be shots they are going to use in next years opening credits, I doubt it but I personally think they look brilliant and a lot better than the current pink postcard looking things.
