Yeah, they had a three week break in August last year and ran repeats, one was Dudes and Babes, one was X-Rated...was that the time they had the Weddings and Funeral week?Infamously the last week was composed entirely of episodes less than two years old.One of them was actually from the last week of first run episodes, round about Ruby's debut.

Neighbours is about three months behind I think so I doubt it'll go off any time soon.Think how bad it'll be if they start showing repeats of that:Since Channel 5 can't(or rather won't)show any Home and Away more than nine years old('cos that's all they've got in the vaults and they won't buy more), we'll be stuck with Neighbours episodes from 2008 onwards.

I will look forward to that then! I miss the old episodes they used to play everyday at 10! :(

Aw really?? I was hoping for some pretty old episodes of Neighbours, like back in the days of Drew or something. At least when it was on the BBC we had uk gold and gold 2 for all the oldies. :( oh well!

will rte be taking this break too ?

I would think so. Doesn't Five have a clause that says they have the rights to show the episode first?

That's why RTE is a day behind at the minute

I can't believe its off air for a whole month :(

The YT embargo sounds like a pre-emptive strike to ensure Five don't lose all their viewers to the internet.

How am I going to survive? :( I don't want to be behind any more from Australia, but then again we still run episodes when Australia don't at the end of the year so it's ok, we'll catch up again and I won't have to be sad without Home and Away in the winter hehe :D

This is certainly a better option than taking it off on bank holidays and upsetting the "week-blocks", parking all the big Friday cliffhangers in midweek.
