I've been reading this before I joined and I must say, you're an awesome writer and I'm always looking for an update. So keep it up.

I was just wondering how you upload an avatar, I see there's not many to choose from and when I tried to upload one it was just coming up outside link or something and it wouldn't show when I posted a comment. Do you know how? Could someone PM me how as I've done a avatar and I would like to use it.

I love you avatar by the way.

Hey!! Sorry that the sneak peak got deleted!!

I guess I put too much in!! :P

Here's the full chappie anyway! :D

Let me know what you think!!

Chapter 43

She felt his arms creeping up her back and under her shirt.

His lips moved to her ear where he whispered 'I love you'.

She tightened her grip around his neck, wanting to go where he did.

Just the two of them.

Together.

"Excuse me?"

Faith withdrew her hands and jumped away from Conor quickly.

He grinned smugly.

"Miss Jefferies, you know such behaviour is not allowed on school property," said Miles sternly.

"Yes, I know Mr Copeland," said Faith, quietly.

"Well if you knew Miss Jefferies, why have I just found you appearing to disagree."

Faith didn't know what to say.

Miles continued to frown at her.

"I shall let it go this one time," he said. "But if I find this happening again, you will be suspended!"

"Yes, Mr Copeland," said Faith, grabbing Conor's arm and dragging him away.

Conor grinned triumphantly.

"I would wipe that smile off your face young man, if I were you," said Miles. "That was not something to be proud of."

"Well, it's a good thing I'm not you sir," said Conor, still grinning. "At least I can get a girlfriend!"

Faith gasped and looked nervously at Miles.

Furious wouldn't be a good enough word to describe how angry he looked.

"My your name, young man," he asked, looking at Conor coldly.

"Conor."

Miles' eyes narrowed.

"Your full name."

Conor dropped his grin.

"Conor O' Grady."

"Well, I'll be giving your parents a call," said Miles, beginning to walk away.

"Don't go to this school mate," Conor called after his loudly.

Faith almost sank to the floor as she heard the way he spoke to Miles.

Miles looked extremely unimpressed.

"Well, what school do you to?"

"Summer Bay Community School."

"Ah, the mentally challenged school," said Miles quietly.

"What you say to me?" snarled Conor, lurching forward.

Faith grabbed his arm to stop his lunging on Miles.

"Oh nothing," said Miles, avoiding Conor's eyes. "The principal there is a good friend. I'll be sure to let him know what you've been up to....in detail."

"Why don't you go stuff yourself instead," roared Conor.

Faith looked at him in astonishment. Was this really her boyfriend??

Miles ignored them both and walked away into the office.

Waiting until he was gone, Conor made a rude hand gesture.

"Conor, stop it!" cried Faith, so angry tears were welling up in her eyes. "Why the hell just happened?"

"You heard what he called me!"

"Yes, but you brought it on yourself," said Faith, glaring at him. "Have you no respect for your superiors?"

To this, Conor said nothing.

"I've had enough," said Faith, angrily. "I'm going home!"

"But, babe, why don't we find somewhere quiet and pick up where we started," said Conor, winding his arms around her waist, licking his lips hungrily.

Faith looked at him disgustedly.

"Get your filthy hands off me!" she cried, pushing away his arms.

"Your my girlfriend, am I not allowed to feel you up?" roared Conor, about to lose his temper.

"Not when your being a jerk, you're not!"

Then Conor snapped.

Wheeling his arm back, he gathered all his strength and smacked Faith across the cheek.

The force was so great, her knees gave way beneath her and she collapsed onto the floor, clutching her now swollen teeth.

Conor looked down at her in anger, now fading to shock.

Faith was speechless.

As she held her cheek, she stared up at him increduously.

The anger had now drained from Conor's face and the realisation of what he'd done had set in.

"I'm sorry," he said, before taking off and running out the front doors.

"What's going on out here?" said Miles angrily, stepping out of his office.

Then he saw Faith lying on the floor.

"Miss Jefferies, my goodness!" he said, running over. "Are you ok?"

Faith was still speechless.

Her body numb.

But, not entirely, as she began to feel the pain in her cheek as the blood rushed to prepare the damage.

As Miles bent down beside her, she fainted in his arms.

Hey, sorry for the long gap in updates!!

I've been busy with school etc. The usual stuff!

Its always so boring!! :P

My weekend was not so boring though as I got to see New Moon on opening day!!

It was very, very good! I would recommend it definately to everyone!! :D

Anyway, here's the next chapter!!

Chapter 44

4 months later...

"Jury, have you reached your decision?"

All the men and women nodded and a lady wearing a black suit stood up.

"We have my Lord," she said, clearly.

"Then, please give us your verdict."

"The jury finds Conor O' Grady guilt of assault causing bodily harm and post-traumatic stress to the victim."

A chorus of quiet muttering went on throughout the courtroom.

From where he sat, Conor put his head down.

He saw it coming, the pain however still stung just as bad.

Over at the other side of the courtroom, Belle was watching her daughter anxiously.

Since the incident, Faith had become very quiet and un-responsive.

Aden and Belle often heard her crying and screaming out in their sleep.

Even when Belle eventually moved into her daughter's room, Faith still woke up screaming during the night.

They became so worried about her, that they eventually took her to a psychologist.

Since then, Faith was only mildly better.

She had never spoke about her feelings over what happened that day.

Whatever Faith told the psychologist was in confidence, so they never really knew what was going on there either.

Faith stayed inside most days now.

At first her friends kept ringing, coming over, worried about her.

She would just sit quietly in the armchair as her friends babbled on about school.

But when they noticed her distant expression, they all fell silent.

Her relationship with Matt had decreased somewhat.

As he couldn't understand what was wrong, he kept nudging and poking her to play with him, until she eventually gave in to shut him up.

But she never smiled or laughed, resulting in Matt crying at the tense atmosphere.

Otherwise, Faith spent most of her time in her room.

What she got up to in there, Aden and Belle rarely knew.

They would walk in on her sometimes just sitting on her bed crying, her body rocking somewhat.

She refused to help out on the farm anymore and basically began to shut everyone out.

And, no one dared to mention Conor's name anymore.

Belle's attention was refocused as the judge coughed loudly, signalling he was ready to give the punishment.

"I have thought about this long and hard," he said, looking from the O' Grady's to where Aden and Belle sat. "While the victim's family may not agree, it is my decision, due to the age of the defendant, not to impose a custodial sentence."

"What!" cried out Aden, standing up. "This is an outrage! Have you not seen the pain he inflected on my daughter?? On my whole family??"

"Aden," said Belle quietly, taking his hands.

"Mr Jefferies," said the judge. "I understand this must be difficult for you but I have to act in the best interest of both parties. I have instead ordered for the defendant to be placed on a good behaviour bond, and he is to do 200 hours of community service."

"Mr O' Grady," said the Judge, sternly, looking directly at Conor, who was forced to look up. "Consider yourself very lucky. I am not setting you free, do not forget that. If you have any sort of conscience, you will realise the pain you have caused for Miss Jefferies and her family. You will be very lucky if they can ever accept your apology."

Closing his book, he stood up.

"This case is dismissed."

Aden and Belle immediatly stood up and escorted Faith quickly out of the courtroom, hoping to avoid the O' Grady's.

Conor craned his neck to see if he could catch Faith's eye.

But she was gone, and it would be his lucky day when Aden or Belle would ever let him talk to her again.

Looking up to see his Grandparents watching his confusedly, he buttoned up his jacket and quickly left the courtroom.

Walking out to the entrance, he was surprised, and nervous, to see the Jefferies were still there.

Belle's arm was wrapped around Faith securely, as they waited for Aden to come with the car.

Faith was just staring in space, in nothing.

Her face looked dead, her eyes were black holes and her once rose cheeks were pale as a ghost.

Leaning into a pillar, he watched her, trying to remember happier times.

Like the time they painted his room and ended up painting each other.

Or that time they went calloping on horses through a large lake.

Or those times they made love together.

Conor's heart pounded strongly behind his ribs as he remembered kissing her soft sweet hair, holding her beautiful, elegant body close to his, kissing her soft lips.

Conor sighed, knowing he might never experience anything like that again.

Thinking she wouldn't hear him, Conor whispered "I love you."

But Faith looked up and other in his direction.

There eyes met instantly and hers were in shock.

The black holes were staring directly at Conor and he suddenly felt all the pain he had put her through.

But there was something else hiding behind the darkness.

A want, a need.

In that split second, Conor knew Faith still loved him.

She just didn't trust him.

"You father's here honey," said Belle, pulling her to the car.

Faith kept her eyes locked on Conor, even when she sat into the car.

And as it drove away, she put her hand on the window and looked at him longingly.

Let me know what you think, please!!
