DinerLandlord Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 -Rocco dying. -Cassie being diagnosed as HIV positive. -Kirsty losing her baby in 2004, and then again this year. -Aden confronting Larry about his sexual abuse. -Peter's fake death (it was still really sad). -Tony finding out Beth had died. -Chloe's death. -Shane's death. -Dale's cot-death. -Bobby's death.
haaxhaa Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Saddest Moments of 2009 for me: - Jack's death - Roman's accident - Aden finding out about Belle's drug addiction - Irene in Jail after Lou's murder - Roman's goodbye to Nicole - Belle's Cancer storyline a few things stuck out for me and they were: When Belle was admitted into hospital Aden discovering Belle had cancer, when he sobbed on the floor and refused to let Belle in Belle's death Irene's funeral speech - Kirsty's miscarriage
Cangol Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 - Shane's death - Flynn's death, I cried my eyes out, I rarely cry watching tv but I cried so bad. I loved Flynn. - Peter's fake death - Roman's goodbye to Nic and Aden, again I cried. It reallyd doesn't happen when I watch tv and I also rarely cry in real life too.
MTerry Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 - Flynn's death, and the events leading up to it. Like Sally and the kids trying to make his life as full as possible, and watching him having the time of his life, but with the knowledge of his impending death. Especially when Belle made him fall down the stairs, and he died next to Sally during the same night. - Beth's death. - When Sally left the bay, and the speech she gave. - When people started to move on after the chopper crash. - Jack's death. And also, it's a long, long time ago, but there was this girl from the bay, named Charlotte who died (of a heart attack?).

It happened on the same day she was about to start a new life in another country, which just made it even worse. I'd say Kirsty losing her baby was the saddest moment of 2009 for me, but this year was pretty light on genuinely sad moments. I couldn't bring myself to be upset about Belle dying because she was so unlikeable. I probably would have been sad if she'd died a couple of years ago when I did like her.
m.a.f Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Alans death Bobbys death Megs death Shanes death Flynns death could go on and on with the deaths so better to say most of the deaths and when Sally left
MTerry Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Charlotte drowned. That was one of my saddest deaths as well. It happened on the same day she was about to start a new life in another country, which just made it even worse. But was there something with a heart condition as well? I just seem to remember that it really affected the lifeguards, but then they were told that they couldn't have known, or something. Like, her drowning was related to a heart condition? I might be off on it, though, could be someone else. From the BTTB cast archive: "However she was pulled under by a rip and was rescued by Josh unconscious. Charlotte was resuscitated and started asking for Jude. Jude came down to the Bay, but Charlotte soon died after suffering complications from her near drowning." Could the complications be something with her heart? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Well it doesn't really matter what complications in whatever part of her body that she died from, the fact is she drowned. If anything I would think her lungs took in too much water thus her body not getting any oxygen and then her heart stopping and eventually dying.

If anything I would think her lungs took in too much water thus her body not getting any oxygen and then her heart stopping and eventually dying. That may very well be true, but I'm still wondering if I'm confusing her with someone else. So whether Charlotte died just because she was unlucky in the water, or because of something related to a pre-existing heart condition is pretty relevant. My question wasn't denying that she drowned, it was merely discussing whether that was everything to it.

I think Charlotte died from a combination of lung damage from the drowning and brain damage from being deprived of oxygen. You might be getting mixed up with Shauna, who collapsed a couple of times from a heart condition(the same one that killed Ailsa)and had to have a pacemaker fitted.
