Red Ranger 1 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I like that Ken Harper's back, he disappeared for quite a while when McGrath was in charge, possibly because it was hard to tell them apart but then he turned up again last year round about the time Charlie arrived.
KirstyEkua Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I really like Dr Young but i don't feel the need to upgrade him to full time. It's the same with Nurse Julie. As much as i love her i think she does great with what she gets and that's enough. Same with Dr Young. You need characters like these in a soap, that only appear occassionaly but give enough impact so they're remembered.
Mistified Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 ^Eastenders has had two such characters in the show for years, Tracy the barmaid in the Vic and Winston who is a stallholder. They really work too and give it a realistic bent.

Jamey-Maria Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 I think it's strange that I still remember his first episode and for most main cast I have no clue. It was in 05 and it was Flyn's last day working at the hospital (First episode Jonah and Charity were in as well when Tasha and Robbie had them over for dinner if that helps?) I think he was the replacement and he was nervous and a bit awkward. He kept trying to diagnose this older lady but realised he couldn't find anything wrong with her until Flyn explained that she was just lonely and came in for a chat. /end ramble. I agree I really like the character as a recurring background guest, ditto with Julie. At least they get speaking lines, Jackie (girl who works in the diner) doesn't get any! And I could swear she's been there for years and years.

Who was he again You're thinking of Hugh...Dr Sullivan played by Rodger Corser. He was equally as gorgeous as Dr Young
