Who likes Dr Young, and why is he so mysterious?!

Does anyone know what's happening with the Dr Young character??

He was getting married, yet we never saw or heard anything about it. He has saved practically every person's life on the show, but has never been invited out for a coffee or been given any sort of social storyline. Is he only ever going to be a doctor? He's such a hottie, it'd be a massive waste!

It seems like there is a new cast every six months, but he's been there 4 years ( since I became addicted) and I want more!

What do you guys reckon?

Yes, I really, really like Dr. Young too!

I don't think he's mysterious - he's just a recurring guest and as such we don't get to find out much about them unless it fits a storyline. Remember when we discovered Nurse Julie trains kids in swimming? That was just to tie in with a Jack storyline which prompted him to tell Martha he wanted to start a family.

We found out about Dr. Young getting married because Belle needed a couple to interview for the weddings section of the paper, and when it turned out to be the doctors she got to interview she was able to do some pill shopping too. Again, we only found out about his marriage because it tied in with the Belle storyline.

Yeah, I suppose that's the way it goes. . . it would just be nice to see a bit more (if ya know what I mean :cool: )

It'd be nice to see him get promoted from a recurring guest to full cast. . .or at least get to see a bit more minus all the medical mumbo jumbo. . . I reckon he's a good actor. . . or has the potential to be anyhow

I agree with Mistified,he's not mysterious.He's the same as Fitzy and Nurse Julie,the bay wouldn't be the same without him but he doesn't need to be permanent.I wouldn't complain if he was though!

I enjoy seeing him. I like that he's a bit "mysterious." I don't need to know everything about every character. I like that he just comes and goes.

I LOVE Dr Young I was hoping he'd be the doctor on duty when Rachel had her baby emergency and I was so glad he was I highly doubt he'll ever get promoted to full time cast member but I definetely wouldn't complain if he did!

Dr Kevin Green was another character that only had story lines in with the main characters. He was always there to save Jack until it was revealed that Peter was alive and Jack didn't have his liver. I just loved his curly black hair , and I missed him after he left. It was after this that Dr Young got more involved.

Constable Georgina Watson is another one who I am currently starting to get used to. I miss Fitzy.

It would be great if characters like these could have more personal involvement with story lines

It is Derek.. I would like Dr Young to become a more regular character. As well as Nurse Julie, Nurse Gloria and bring back Fitzy. We haven't seen or heard how Fitzy is copping with Jack's death, since those too whore close at work.
