wow this place is amazing

I joined this site specifically to find out if a scene i had seen while watching an episode of H&A had anything to do with the show, couldn't find anything about it, so after much frustration, i posted a thread asking if it were part of the show.

What do I get for my trouble? a bunch of rude replies and a comment by an administrator that my thread was purely designed to start rumours or gossip about the actress/character involved in the scene, then the thread is closed so i couldn't reply.

I start another thread to state that i did NOT start that thread to start gossip or rumours, even had a member from another site where i had asked the same question come in stating the same thing, that i WAS telling the truth and was asking a question NOT starting rumours/gossip. That thread seems to have vanished and comments from it placed in the original thread.

WHAT is the point of having a forum where people are "supposedly" allowed to ask questions if all that is going to happen is that person gets flamed or rude replies? Is it written in the forum T&S that all replies must be negative or rude? Or did i miss that section?

I have NEVER indulged in gossip of rumour spreading, i do not believe in such activities and to be honest i find it extremely offensive that, that is all i got from this place, except for the two polite replies to my threads. To find that an ADMINISTRATOR can come in and give a RUDE reply is also offensive, when a simple response of "sorry that scene was not part of the show" would of been a sufficient enough response to my question.

While i DO understand that there have been issues with "newbies" coming here and posting "foilers" etc, it is NOT fair to flame EVERY new member for asking questions considering that in some cases, those questions are legitimate.

I NEVER once stated that the scene in question was DEFINATELY from H&A, instead if you had noticed, I ASKED if anybody else had seen the same scene that my partner and I both saw.

From now on, unless there is something specific to comment on i doubt i will bother posting here, since it seems this place is more for those who wish to flame others.

i love how the thread was locked because " its evident this is nothing to do with H&A "

you were only asking if a certain scene happened in the show H&A

i guess some dont read properly? or maybe a question about the show is not really a question about the show at all?

:o i have it! the question was nothing to do with H & A it was all about the body in the water! that is probably why it was locked..... even though you were asking if it did happen on the show, maybe because it didnt, the question had nothing to do with the show?

It's not that the question was irrelevant, it is that you asked it in the wrong place and were told where to ask it but then decided to create another thread complaining about the outcome. No need to start ANOTHER thread... that's what you did wrong.

And you wonder why the Administrator closed the threads.

uh...sorry but i have NOT seen anywhere in either of my posts where i have been told to post elsewhere, so yes i have EVERY reason to wonder why my threads are closed. Oh and for the record, i did not start my thread to "complain" as you so nicely put it, i started my second thread because i do NOT appreciate rude comments for asking a question. As i have said, is it forum policy to be rude to EVERY new member? because quite frankly thats all i seem to be experiencing regardless of outcomes.

PM the Administrator who closed it.

To find that an ADMINISTRATOR can come in and give a RUDE reply

Yeah I don't think that's nessecary nor is it okay for admin or mod to treat members unfairly. If members can't be rude to other members why should the higher order (Admin/mod) get away with it.

Are you new? If so then no need to worry it takes a while to get into it, there is a quick questions in the Australia disucssion thread and in the spoiler section. You probably werent aware of this but you now know. You really didn't need to make a thread - but its okay, you're allowed to make mistakes. :P

I myself are on edge about this place and don't know how long I want to be on this forum. But for the time being I'm staying.

Don't stress! :) It was an innocent mistake

You could've used the 'Quick Questions' thread to be fair.

The advice about PM'ing the administrator is the best piece

Of advice - then you can sort it out between you :-)

I did look in the quick questions thread, but as i had discussed the scene in another forum and nobody else had seen it, i felt it more appropriate to place it in the spoiler section JUST IN CASE it was a scene that was aired by mistake, or one which UK viewers may not have yet seen (keeping in mind that i was not 100% sure if it was from H&A and there is mention of keeping spoilers within country specified threads etc)

Lily-G, I am new to this forum, I joined back in May roughly a week after i saw the scene that i was unsure of. I discussed it with members of another forum, and as nobody there had seen it, felt that i stood a better chance of finding out about it here. I went through just about every thread here to see if there was any information prior to my thread, and as i explained was not sure if it were a spoiler or not, hence placing it in the spoiler section.

DWS, i most likely will PM the admin who removed the threads, though i will wait until i calm down a little first, as currently i am not exactly in the 'nicest' of moods. I did have another look through my thread and cannot find anywhere that directs me to post in another section, and i do apologise if i have snapped at you for suggesting it.

As a member so kindly suggested previously, if you have an issue with a staff member's decision we are easily reachable via PM, so arguments are not started across the forum and in the wrong section. While we appreciate our board takes getting used to for new members, as would any online community, the rules are clearly displayed here and are in an announcement pinned at the top of every forum. For this thread in particular, Quick Questions threads are available in all three of our H&A discussion forums and now that has been pointed out, this thread can be closed. If anyone has any issues please PM myself or another member of staff.
