I agree with Laura's final five as well, no members of Team Smug deserve to get to the final. Unfortunately I think Marcus, Halfwit and Siavash all have a guaranteed place in the final, with Siavash probably winning it. I'm dreading the rest of this series now.

It was great to hear some people booing Halfwit at last night's eviction. I still can't believe how popular Charlie is though. He's just the gay version of Anthony Hutton, except at least Anthony's "likeable Geordie-lad" routine was genuine. Charlie is so fake - how can nobody see it?

I agree with most of your sentiments regarding the current housemates. I don’t recall the last time it reached to point where there were so many people that were completely and utterly unlikeable.

Personally I couldn’t stand Anthony Hutton. He sat back for twelve weeks, sat on the fence and basically won the show based solely on his good looks. Makosi was a much more worthy winner as she practically carried the show for the duration. I can’t understand how popular Charlie is either. Admittedly he hasn’t been anywhere near as annoying this week but that’s only because the emphasis of the show has been on the whole Freddie/Bea/Marcus/Lisa/David discord. We saw in Friday night’s highlights that he’s still got that malicious side to his character. He knew Rodrigo was asleep and would get annoyed at the practical joke but went and dragged him out of bed anyway with the intention of throwing him in the pool. I know Rodrigo has a tendency to overreact but that was like a red rag to a bull. And then when he tried to get Charlie’s bed sheets, Charlie started getting aggressive then when he was called into the diary room he had the gall to say the Rodrigo couldn’t take a joke.

I’m very disappointed with Sophie. I must emphasise that I do not like Marcus at all and do not have a problem with Sophie slagging him off behind his back. The problem is she is being nice to his face so she’s coming across as two faced. If she really feels that strongly about him she should just stay out of his way not really talk to him and simply be civilised.

It’s almost reaching the point where I don’t want anyone to win. Perhaps Endomol could give the money to charity like they do with CLBB.

It was brilliant seeing the look on Halfwit and Bea’s faces after Hira’a name was announced. That was really, really genuine shock in particular from Bea. I loved the cockroach analogy she gave about Lisa in the diary room. Obviously not talking about her appearance but referring to her current invincibility (or luck to be frank). It reminded me of BB7 where Richard was nominating Imogen virtually every week then he gave up and said a nuclear bomb wouldn’t get her out of the house

^I agree that there shouldn't be a winner this year. To be honest, I'd be quite happy if they just shut down the studio and kicked out all the housemates right now. They're all so dreadful. There have been large numbers of unlikeable people in previous series', but never to this extent. I think the current bunch even surpass BB6's housemates on the unlikeability-scale. Each year I've had at least one housemate I have been rooting for to win. I didn't really watch last year, but I wanted Rex to win, purely because I fancied him; in BB8 I would have been happy for the twins to win because they were sweet and harmless; I REALLY wanted Aisleyne to win BB7; ditto for Makosi in BB6, and in all the series' before BB6 the housemates were generally likeable. This year though, I cannot support any of them.

HA, just remembered Richard's insane hatred of Imogen in BB7. He was such a prat, it was clear he was just jealous of Imogen because she was pretty and quite a nice girl. He should have focused his hatred on Grace or Nikki.

WOW I have just watched a clip on the Channel 4 site with an argument between Charlie and Halfwit and can I just say that Charlie is going up in my opinion very quickly!!

http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/video/7...64e3ad5/play.c4

Charlie accuses Halfwit of having the biggest gameplan in here and Halfwit responds by saying "yeah thats why I keep getting evicted , oh wait a seciond I don't" then he laughs

This man really needs to be taken down a peg or ten and shown the door the next time he is up for eviction because his smugness and his sureness of the publics utter love for him is really getting on my nerves.

I thought some of Richards’s lines in the diary room were brilliant but I think he pretty much sucked as a person TBO. His reasons for nominating Imogen week in week out were that she was dull, boring and ordinary. It’s funny how he said that because he seemed to get on like a house on fire with Suzy and let’s face it she wasn’t exactly the most exciting person in the house. He seemed to have a dislike for certain types of people – “Plastics”. He even went off Aisleyne eventually. He also disliked other gay men i.e. Shabaz and Michael. Probably because he wanted to be the alpha gay male.

I don’t think Nicky was the sort of person that you would hate but she was a pain in the backside – highly annoying is what I would describe her as. And also a spoilt little drama queen. Grace was just terrible. I remember how much I enjoyed the chanting “Get Grace out” when Aisleyne had to choose the golden ball for a housemate to enter the house. She was also a really sore loser.

Richard was very hypocritical regarding her because he had some harsh words to say when she chucked a glass of water over Suzy. But after spending time with her in the secret house when she was brought back in and Aisleyne was still annoyed about her behaviour he said “Grace is good”.

Anyway…unless I’ve misinterpreted things I actually thought Dogface came across quite badly in tonight’s highlights. The argument that ensued between the housemates was her fault. I would like to think she had the others best interests at heart when she brought the issue of Marcus hiding the cigarettes but if that had been David or Lisa I don’t think she would have said anything. That’s why I think it was deliberately engineered to out Marcus and show him up as the bad guy but it sort of backfired, semi escalated and dragged other people in.

Sophie also did exactly what Marcus had done last week and asked people to nominate her. I actually think she realised that she’d slipped up and was trying to save face. I was also suspicious because she had such a look of innocence throughout the whole thing. See I knew she wasn’t a stupid as some people thought.

I wasn’t sure what to think of Charlie to be honest. I liked that he stuck up for Dogface and that he told Freddie to his face what he thought but let’s face it he wasn’t very diplomatic. I’m assuming he used the C word as it was bleeped out.

It’s funny how Bea mentioned that Halfwit never said anything bad about Lisa when Charlie was voicing his annoyance about him - This is a blatant lie! Bea has become two faced now. I knew this would happen because her original strategy of confronting people and making them look bad failed last week. So she’s forced to try and be nice to people who she doesn’t like. Well at least to their faces. Notice how she’s trying to get people to nominate David. And she did specifically mention nominations as well so surely she’s as much to blame as Dogface for any impending punishment for the house.

I actually think BB will wait until the nominations before deciding what to do. If Bea or Marcus are up again I’m sure the whole house will be too. I wonder if any viewers will complain to Ofcom as it does look as though it’s defeating the whole point of nominations. In saying that I believe there is a rule which says Big Brother reserves the right to change any rule as and when desired.

Charlie both annoyed me and impressed me tonight. I'm glad he delivered a few home truths to Halfwit, especially in front of others so they can see for themselves what Halfwit has become. However, I think he went about it the wrong way by getting so worked up and angry. Constantly using people's full names made him look silly; using the C word made him look as rude as Marcus; and refusing to allow Halfwit to respond or continue the argument just made him look bad, not Halfwit.

Bea is so awful now. B*tching about David non-stop, and accusing him of trying to win favour in the house by cooking - then after all that she seeks comfort from him when she cries over her argument with Marcus! What a dreadful woman.

The problem with Sophie is she makes the viewers think she is nice for a while, but then she messes it up by being two-faced or stupid.

Apparently the punishment has been the removal of food. I hope BB don't tamper with the nominations yet again.

The best part of tonight was seeing Team Smug fall apart. I doubt the rift between Bea and Marcus will close soon.

I disagree about Sophie. Yes, she probably would have been more subtle about it had the cigarettes been found on someone other than Marcus, but aren't we all guilty of thinking the best of people we like and the worst of people we don't? It's not like she started shouting at Marcus or anything, she simply told the others what she'd found and chose to ask him about it on their advice. I think anyone in her position would have done the same - Marcus doesn't smoke and yet he has a whole packet of cigarettes stashed under his bed? It does look dodgy, and I didn't believe his story either.

I didn't believe his story either. Marcus always makes up some lie to cover his tracks when he gets caught out. Remember the night BB called him to the diary room, while he was busy having some "alone time" in the toilet with the duvet over him? He spent the rest of that night wandering around the garden with the duvet over him to try and make it look like was just "being eccentric" with the duvet, as opposed to using it to hide himself while he...well you know what he was doing.

Regardless of what people think of her character, personality, behaviour or the general manner in which she’s conducted herself you’ve got to hand it to Bea. She saw an opening, seized the opportunity and took full advantage. She was smart enough to recognise that the majority of the group were siding with Lisa so her original plan of trying to rally people against David wasn’t working. Subsequently when Marcus, Siavash and Halfwit repeatedly flaunted the rules (well ignored Big Brother) and annoyed the group she effectively jumped ship (a sinking one that is) and turned her attention to Freddie. She knew most people wouldn’t have felt enough animosity towards Siavash and were already fed up with Marcus so with knowing how Freddie feels about her he was an easy target. The timing was impeccable. Having a go at him firstly just as Lisa and David came out and almost praising her for her efforts. And then later on in the bedroom calling him out and making herself loud enough so that everyone could hear her (If Lisa or David has said that to him it would have been World War III). This coupled with the fact that nominations are virtually round the corner was tactically very astute. I think most people now will nominate Marcus and because of Bea outing Freddie she might have possibly replaced a vote for her for a vote for him. In all honesty the smartest thing for her to do would be to follow suit with nominations and vote for both of them too, to reduce her chances of being up. I’ll be very surprised if she nominates Lisa or David now but she still might just to keep her options open.

Dogface was better tonight. She expressed her displeasure at Marcus’s total lack of respect for the housemates and Big Brother but was diplomatic about it and didn’t b*tch too much. Or should I say at least we didn’t hear her b*tch.

Siavash actually annoyed me the most out of the three because of his apology. I was especially displeased when the housemates such as Lisa, Dogface etc saw him in positive light after that. I myself simply see that as a greenlight to do what he wants and get away with it as long as he makes it about him and shows genuine (yeah right) regret for the other people in the house. Wake up and smell the coffee people, how frequently does he do stuff like this? Come on!
