claire_louise Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 The funny thing was the way Kris came across at the eviction interview and BBBM I actually thought he was ok. He seemed pleasant enough. I know he gave Halfwit a rough time but so have other people, Lisa, Karly, Noirin etc and I don’t think he was anywhere near as bad as some people have been in the past. Also if you don’t like someone you don’t like them and I see no problem with that. I agree. I was actually quite disappointed by the outcome on Friday as I'd much rather Marcus had gone. Sometimes I liked Kris and sometimes (all right, most of the time) I didn't, whereas I just can't stand Marcus full stop. I do think Kris came across well in his interview and I wouldn't be surprised if his feelings for Sophie are genuine, but I doubt he'll have the stamina to stay faithful to her until she leaves the house. He's basically just one of the many men his age who keep their brains in their trousers. He knows he's good looking and is obviously used to getting his own way in life, particularly with women, so it's no wonder he's so cocky - not to mention a bit of a slut. His behaviour towards Freddie was just another example of that kind of mentality - if they'd been at school together he would have been the popular kid picking on the geeky kid. I think Freddie can pretty much hold his own though. If anything Kris just made himself look like a prat.
Slade Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 And something else that I didn’t mention before that I find irritating is that every second word she says is “like”. She was doing it again in the diary room. “I…like only like him as a friend like”. Arghh. I have to say though unlike Sree I do think Noirin’s been pretty straight with Marcus but he just isn’t getting the message and to think he said to Sree a while back that he doesn’t listen to anyone whenever they tell him anything. I felt a bit sorry for Dogface when she was in the diary room talking about how she just wanted to go and how she feared the prospect of being left in the house with people she couldn’t stand. After watching tonight’s episode I actually think that we could possibly see Noirin, Marcus and Lisa go head to head (Sophie and Siavash are up as well but they are effectively redundant when up against the other three). Charlie won’t nominate Freddie and I think Sophie and Karly have been getting on with him. Lisa is the one that is thinking tactically and I’m not 100% sure she’ll want to waste a vote on him this week as Marcus and Noirin are more of an immediate threat. Similarly Marcus, Noirin and Freddie will want to nominate Lisa as they probably think she’s coming for them and have identified her as the ring leader of that group. Those three facing the public vote would be very interesting and I honestly don’t know who would go. Funny how Halfwit said he found Lisa's gameplan laughable and Marcus didn't think she was all that smart. I actually think she's a lot smarter than they give her credit for. She know's how to influence nominations without talking about them and getting into trouble.
-Karen- Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I don't quite know what Lisa has done to make everyone hate her so much... I wish someone would tell me when she has schemed as the only scheming she's done is in Marcus and Freddie's head!!! They are the schemers in there..... and Freddie is soooooo cocky it's not funny... surviving all those evictions has made his head grow 100 times bigger than it was..... it was already in the clouds but it must be on its way to the moon by now! The way Freddie shouted at Noirin in the style of Shakespeare was laughable and the way he goes on about his 'parties' etc. is comical... He needs a dose of the real world! As for Marcus.... I can't believe that he thinks he has a chance with Noirin!!! He is a total sleaze and the extent of his sleaziness hasn't even been shown in the highlights programme! She needs to be firmer with him as he clearly isnt getting the message. I am beginning to lose respect for her as she is leading him on whether she admits it or not. And I can't believe the way she allowed herself to be sucked back into 'Team Scheme' after that bunny debacle! Siavash lied.... on two counts.... end of story. Nothing would make me happier than seeing Lisa or Charlie winning... but unfortunately I think Freddie and co. have managed to brainwash the public so that won't happen now. Bring on the the new people to stir things up! Rant over!
Cal Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 And something else that I didn’t mention before that I find irritating is that every second word she says is “like”. “I did this like”, “He’s up for eviction like”, “Someone’s been robbing the cans like”. It's typical talk over here. Every sentence has "like" in it. I find it annoying too, although I am guilty of saying it on a few occasions. I'm still backing Rodrigo and Siavash. They're by far the most likable and interesting in there. Everybody else is just mediocre.
DinerLandlord Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Marcus and Noirin are encouraging each others behaviour. It would be one thing if Marcus didn't get the message, like Sree didn't, but he knows that he has no chance with Noirin, yet he persists anyway! He is just making a fool of himself. Noirin tells it to him straight that she isn't interested, yet her actions say otherwise (allowing him to paint her, sitting on his lap, etc.), and I think that is because she likes the attention, even if it is coming from a man she isn't attracted to. She likes having him wrapped around her finger and fawning over her 24/7, but she doesn't want it to go any further. I guess she just likes being admired. Whether that is a good or bad thing is a matter of opinion.
Lesley Bee Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Apparently Nick Bateman was supposed to be going into the house today, but he's pulled out because he realised he wasn't getting paid
claire_louise Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I don't quite know what Lisa has done to make everyone hate her so much... I wish someone would tell me when she has schemed as the only scheming she's done is in Marcus and Freddie's head!!! I can't think of any specific examples of Lisa 'scheming', but she does give the impression that she's trying to control the others. I think with her being that bit older and quite headstrong she thinks of herself as a kind of leader. Some of the arguments she's had, even though she's not necessarily been in the wrong, she's come across as quite bossy and a bit manipulative sometimes. Also when she takes against someone she seems to try to get everyone else on her side, for example ganging up against Freddie. That's just why I'm not keen on her, I can't speak for anyone else. The way Freddie shouted at Noirin in the style of Shakespeare was laughable and the way he goes on about his 'parties' etc. is comical... He needs a dose of the real world! I thought that was so funny! I kept trying to work out if he was putting it on or if he was serious and what makes it all the more funny is that he seemed to be serious. I think what makes Freddie popular with the public, even though he can be very irritating, is exactly what you're saying - he doesn't live in the real world. People from that sort of background often have their heads in the clouds and people who aren't used to that (ie. most of the general public) understandably find them fascinating and hilarious to watch. And I can't believe the way she allowed herself to be sucked back into 'Team Scheme' after that bunny debacle! Siavash lied.... on two counts.... end of story. I still don't get what happened there...Siavash doesn't seem like the type to lie for the sake of it. Was he trying to manipulate her for some reason? Did he just want to start an argument because he was bored? I just don't see where it all came from.
Slade Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 I don't quite know what Lisa has done to make everyone hate her so much... I thought I was the only person who doesn’t detest her. I honestly don’t know what she’s done to deserve all the hatred either. So she’s been rude to Halfwit a couple of times. So what? Big deal, so has half the house. And something else that I didn’t mention before that I find irritating is that every second word she says is “like”. “I did this like”, “He’s up for eviction like”, “Someone’s been robbing the cans like”. It's typical talk over here. Every sentence has "like" in it. I find it annoying too, although I am guilty of saying it on a few occasions. Sorry Cal I hope I didn't cause any offence. Anyway booo hooo, poor me, nobody loves me. My heart bleeds for you Noirin. You've brought it on yourself. When she was crying I didn't have one iota of sympathy for her. She's only miffed because she's not the centre of attention and quite a few people (Karly, Lisa, Dogface, Siavash etc) are simply ignoring her now. I have to say her reasons for nominating both Karly and Lisa were completely hypocritical. She claimed that Karly was “self absorbed” and she thought she was better than everyone else and that Lisa was backstabbing her. This coming from someone who seems to thrive on attention (even when it appears she is being stalked), claimed than any man who met her fell in love with her and always tries to drag the whole house into any disputes she has with people. I still remember her nominating Cairion one minute and then doing his hair the next as if they were friends. Perhaps I misjudged Siavash last week. It seems as though the stroke he pulled got Noirin at least one nomination – Dogface, as she said she didn’t like the way he went and told her something in confidence and Noirin tried to turn the whole house against him. I was surprised with Rodrigo's nominations. I was expecting him to vote Freddie again but it looks as though he and other people have given up on nominating him (at least for the time being). The nominations were really close this week. Noirin and Karly had 5 and Marcus and Lisa had 4, so we easily could have had 6 people up for eviction. It seems as though Siavash ultimately had the deciding vote. He and Dogface are both pretty safe. It's definitely going to be between Karly and Noirin. And by the looks of thing Lisa could be in big trouble next week.
DinerLandlord Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Freddie wasn't nominated by anyone this week, yay!!!
