Negima! episode 16, Amor Tussique non Celantur. Disappointing, because it's an adaptation of a significant turning point in the manga, but here it makes no sense and is totally unmotivated.

To clarify: in the manga, Kazumi Asakura, after finding about Negi being a mage, teams up with Kamo and arranges a competition among the girls to steal a kiss from Negi. The goal is to get to Negi to make an unintended pactio (a magical contract between a wizard and a partner, in most cases, literally sealed with a kiss), which will earn Kamo hundreds of dollars for brokering it, which he will split with Asakura. But Negi unwittingly foils it when he accidentally creates five shikigami clones of himself (four with misspelled names), leaving most of the girls distracted with them. After the clones disappear, Negi attempts to resolve the chaos. The contest ends when Yue trips Nodoka (knowing that she's in love with him) and so that she lands on his lips - creating a pactio that comes in handy the following day.

So, how does the anime handle this? At this point in the timeline, Asakura knows nothing about Negi's powers, Kamo or the pactio system, and there's no indication that she's getting anything out of this competition. In addition, the clones of Negi get no clear explanation, and it doesn't end with Nodoka's pactio.
