Getting people into Home and Away

I started watching Home and Away from the very beginning. I watched Sally grow up on screen. Some where along the way, i got bored with the story lines and did not watch for a few years. I have gotten back into it. I have a 13 year old daughter who is so totally addicted to Home and Away. She was in tears when Jack died.

My husband doesn't like it. He thinks that it should be axed. Me. I am so addicted i can't get enough.

She wernt the only one, i was babbling like a baby and my mum came in and said 'Oh my gos what's happened' and i said 'he's dead' and she shouted 'OH MY GOD WHOSE DEAD' and just looked at her and said 'Jack on home and away' and she just looked at me and was like what the hell it's a soap opera.

Gosh, the only scene that made me well up was Tony discovering Jack's body. Other than that his death has been a blessing. Well I say that because now I don't have to put up with the awful acting but he was killed to be replaced by the equally as awful Hugo and Xavier

Well Hugo's not a bad actor but just doesn't really feel needed. There seems to be a lack of charm in the Holden genetic line. Lucas, Jack, Xavier, Tony, ergh.

I've cried watching quite a few times recently with all the Martha and Jack stuff, the first time H&A made me cry was when I was a lot younger, watching Blake and Meg on the beach when Meg died, I watched it again a few weeks ago on you tube and there I was yet again crying my eyes out! I've converted one of my friends, aged 40, to H&A when she caught the Rambo advert on five and asked me who the hunk was, since then she's been addicted, I hope she stays loyal once Roman leaves!!! I'll be checking!

None of my friends watch it, and if I ever mentioned that I watched it and it was one of my favourite shows they would mock and laugh at me. They think people who watch soaps have no lives. And this is the only place where I can come and chat endlessly about home and away and my favourite characters. Thank god for Back to the bay!!

None of my friends watch Home and Away. If anything, they'll watch Neighbours while eating dinner or something. I've been watching Home and Away since... I don't even remember. I'll just say my whole life :P My mum got me into the show when I was little and I've been watching it ever since. We have our routine every night. Dinner at 7pm while watching the show together, with my dad making comments in the background. I swear he likes the show a little :P

I got my Dad into it. When I was staying at his for the summer and nothing else was on, I thought I would watch Home and Away and now me and my Dad watch it everyday. I made my mum sit through it once but she doesn't really like it. None of my friends watch it either.

My friend has watched H&A since it began in England, and after living here for a while she got back into it. She slowly managed to get me hooked, and I then got my younger brother hooked. I have a few friends that are fans here, but most people don't watch it because it's got stereotypes.
