I'm not sure if Miles has kept up that tradition...If Celeste wanted to go to uni, then I suppose I can't blame her but I am disappointed that she's gone.I would love it if she came back, partly because I like the character and partly because I didn't find it a very satisfactory exit. But from what Melody said to Annie before she left, it sounds like she's not even planning on staying in touch.

There was a picture taken of Jai but maybe thats because Ric was still there, I dont know whether he took one of Melody.

Was anyone else annoyed how Nicole's stupid feelings overshadowed Melody's final moments? I was.

Me as well. My god I hated that. Considering the exit was so rushed as it is they could have atleast gave her a proper ending with the last scene focusing on her leaving with her friends all there. Instead we cut to Nicole walking out because of some lame realisation about Geoff, which I'm sorry was completely idiotic. Just because he is having an extremely tough time handling what it's like to date someone completely different it doesn't automatically mean he's trying to change her. Considering they seem to want us to believe that she's matured so much since the OC you would think she'd keep that to herself and let Geoff be there to watch someone he cares about deeply leave permanentely. But no, she had to walk off, and if she knows Geoff at all then she had to know he'd follow her. What makes it worse is that for about the last two months now, they are in basically every scene in any episode they feature in. So to have them once again overshadow a moment like this with Nicole's petty issue which she was over by the next episode is ridiculous.

I miss Melody's character terribly and would be over the moon if she came back. But I wish Celeste all the best. I can't fault her for wanting to further her education.

Yeah, I didn't like the way they did that either.Everyone went outside to say goodbye to Melody and we were left watching Geoff and Nicole.I was expecting them to cut back to her afterwards but then suddenly it was several hours later and Alf was at the surf club and I just sat there going "What? What's happened to Melody? Is that her gone?"

I thought she was just taking time out from the show. Im shocked to hear she has left. The storyline was very rushed. I think the writers tried to close the chapter on Melody as quick as possible. That meant bringing back her Mother, fixing the problem (bad parenting skills because of her Grandmother) then finding a solution (moving away). I will miss Melody. Really down to earth character.

Totally agree, it's like any episode Geoff and Nicole are in everything has to be about them. Melody got cheated out of a proper exit.

I think the whole thing got rushed because Celeste wanted to go to uni to study acting and I think I read somewhere Liz Alexander (Christine) is going to be on All Saints so they probably had to wrap up Melodys storyline quickly.

If they did suddenly find themselves with only three episodes to write out Melody, they should have had a complete rethink because it didn't really work. She seemed to rush into a questionable decision while she was in an emotional state.I'd have preferred for her to go and live with her dad, whose whereabouts weren't even mentioned:He might have been weak and a bit neglectful but at least he wasn't likely to try and exorcise her next time they had a disagreement.I think I'd even have preferred for them to back her off to boarding school, at least then she'd have been building a new life for herself instead of just going back to the one she'd previously been so desperate to escape.
