Oipoodle Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Anybody know if it was her choice or not? I really liked her character and think she's such a good actress. Seems strange to have her leave so abruptly I was just wondering if she wanted to leave because of school/college or if it was the producers of the show. I'll miss her!

Yes I believe Celeste only agreed to come back for a short while and she did since after the Olympics . She did this because she wanted to continue her studies

Red Ranger 1 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 That was actually planned?I'm suddenly really worried because if they knew months in advance when she was leaving you would have thought they'd have come up with something better than her mother suddenly turning up and a week later she goes off with her.And wouldn't have spent the previous two weeks repeatedly saying what a bad parent her mum was.
~Lynd~ Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 I always thought it was a sudden decision,on whose part i'm not sure.I'm with RR1,i'm furious with the whole thing,especially if it was planned.HAA usually try to show these things realistically and sensitively but i'm sorry,as cutesy as the ending may have been it sure as hell wasn't anything even close to realistic.Not unless she comes back because it didn't work out,but i won't hold my breathe.
alexx Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Yeah I was disappointed in how rushed the ending was - it had the potential to be a lot more 'real' and emotional. I think they should have gone down a typical Summer Bay House route - with at least a good solid few weeks of Melody resolving her relationship with her mother, with lots of tears and heated moments in the build up....leading to a nice ''Fletcher/Ross foster departure moment'' including a look at the mantlepiece, the photos with Miles and a poignant location farewell as an episode end scene!
