^You are really not a Martha fan are you!?

No if I remember he hates J&M

Would you hate them because they came out on top in the Sam storyline ? :P:lol:

I don't hate them because they came out on top, as you put it, I presume meaning that they ended up together. I think they deserved each other because they were equally horrible and kept hurting people, and they should have been together.

I hate them because of how badly they treated Sam, as well as how badly they treated Michael, Rory and Roman. I hate that Sam's death was futile. She didn't deserve it, she just should have been locked away in a psychiatric prison. I know she was a nutcase, but I still think she was a million times better than J&M.

^ I kinda know what you mean, I loved J&M up until they first broke up. After that, they just annoyed me with their on/off relationship.

As irritating as it was, i wouldn't have changed it as its made them into a responsible couple, if they stayed together they would always be arguing about stupid things for however long but as the split up they had their up's and down's but look how caring and loving they were when they reunited

Yes martha-jack this is what I said about them as well.

Martha and Jack's turbulant relationship was so worthwhile because it is what has made them the people they are/were today and so much more responsible.Martha and Jack grew so much as people that I wouldnt have changed a piece of their on-off relationship for the world

Anyway I do agree with you DinerLandlord to an extent.

I think Sam was a fantastic character that shouldnt have been killed off. She killed herself for nothing which was a huge shame , I would liked to have seen repercussions after her death not like have it discovered it was suicide 2 weeks lter like happened.

At least if she was shoved off to a mental institution then the door would be left wide open for her to return at some stage.I can just imagine how great a Sam return would have been.

I would change what I regard to being one of their biggest mistakes, and would have put Emily Perry in the opening credits in 2005. Everybody had guessed she was the stalker by the time it played out.

Killing Chloe was another major mistake. I think Bobby was a bad character to kill off as well.

I also would have changed Morag's apparent lack of remorse and guilt at Bobby being dead. Morag is now more soft than she used to be so I would like to see her shed a tear over her daughter, even though it is sixteen years later!

Welll...Kim and Rachel would have stayed together and Rachel would have stayed 2006 Rachel. The Kit baby thing could have happened still to make an interesting storyline or whatever but Rachel and Kim would have still come out on top.

Robbie and Tasha would never have left the bay.

Sam, Rocco, Beth would never have died and Jazz should have stayed forever! I miss them all.

Belle and Aden would never have happened because Drew would still have been around and we would never have had to endure Adelle! They were great in the beginning but I think 'overkill' is the word of the moment.

I'd have liked Cassie to stay and see more of her HIV storyline. Oh and Xavier? No way.

Okay heres something I have thought should have been different: Pippa.

Pippa's role was probably the most important role on show and they had the perfect actress in Vanessa Downing. But they had to find two perfect actresses which was lucky they found Debra Lawrence and of couse she made role her own pretty much. But however Vanessa earned the role in 1988 and i think Vanessa did good enough job for it not to been recast. I know what some of you may be thinking would have not work.

But Debra Lawence deserved to have her own character instead of replacing Vanessa Downing who is perfect actress. Thats why both Pippas seem to have different personalities which is no way Vanessa or Debra fault. It was the writers as they felt the show whould not survive without Pippa. But they were wrong all they had to do was bring Debra in as new character and make the storyline the right storyline for it to work and here's what they could have done.

Sit back, read and relax on the storyline that would have made it work.

Here's how I think it would have worked.

2nd June 1990 at Fletcher House

Pippa's cooking dinner, there's a knock at the door

Pippa opens the door

Its a lady called Mary Keating (who played by Debra Lawence) It's Sally long lost mother who turns out to been alive.

Pippa says Hello how may i help you?

Lady says hi my name is Mary Keating I'm Sally's birth mother

Pippa says pardon why dont you come inside and tell me about it

Mary says on boat crash I lost my memory it's took many years to get back, I only got in back a month ago.

Pippa says how did you find out where Sally lives.

Mary says I checked the Family Services Department. I used to work there. I have lots in common with you Pippa i like fostering and helping kids too.

Pippa Oh good look you're more than welcome to stay here as long as you what.

Mary says Dont worry I won't take Sally away from you. I may move to Summer Bay if I have too.

Pippa says well Sally should been home soon I might go outside and tell her first before she see's you.

Mary says okay

Sally says hello Pippa. Pippa and Sally hug

Pippa I need to tell you something sit down sweetheart

Pippa tells Sally everything about her mother being alive.

Sally says she doesn't know how to feel and asks Pippa when she can meet her.

Pippa says she's waiting inside.

Sally runs in and gives her mum Mary a big hug. Both Mary and Sally cry in each other arms.

Then Mary moves in and helps Pippa with the kids and running of carvan park for two weeks.

Then on 16 July 1990

Pippa gets call form her mother's doctor saying her mum become ill

Pippa needs to make diffcult choice beetween looking after her kids or looking after her sick mum

Pippa says Mary I think if anyone would do as good job as i would of looking after the kids and running caravan park it's you. I would like to sell the house too and hand over looking after the kids

Mary says I would be able to handle it but only if you're sure about selling

Pippa says yes I am.

Mary says okay I promise Iwill look after the kids and anymore kids who need a home.

Pippa says Now I have got to do hardest thing break the news to Sally.

Pippa leaves bay.

Mary Keating Played by Debra Lawence takes over role at Summer bay house by looking after new foster kids and running the caravan park.

Thats what I think they should have of done. That way Vanessa could of made return vists. And also both actresses would have there own characters.

But I do wonder if they were two separate characters who would make more return vists?

But I think if it did happen Vanessa would have returned before Debra left in such events like Bobby and Greg's wedding and Bobby's death.

Does anyone agree with me about Vanessa and Debra being two different characters?

-As already mentioned, Chloe/Jesse. If they did bring her back they should have made her and Jessie drive off into the sunset together. I saw no reason to kill her character.

-The way they handled the whole rape situation re Dani when Kane returned in 2003 and made her out to be the bad guy and the selfish one (I still wanted Kirsty and Kane together but they should have been more sympathetic towards Dani)

-Vinnie. A difficult one but why bother making out that he was in the witness protection program if they were never planning on bringing back the character in a proper capacity.

-Would have kept Tam (I thought she had potential and would have really stirred things up)

-That awful and incredibly mind-numbingly boring dull and equivalent of watching paint dry couple AKA Adelle. If I had my way they never would have happened.

-Wouldn’t have killed Axel off as again I thought his character showed promise and I really liked the Jai/Axel friendship and at least Jai had purpose.

-Would have kept Rachel with Hugh as I thought they suited each other and maybe she wouldn’t have gotten so damm annoying. Better still just let Reverend Hall finish her off…..

-Would have kept Jazz around. She was constantly stirring things up and I really liked her

-Would have kept Sam around because I thought she was a really good charcter again as already mentioned.

-Would have brought Kirsty and Kane back a lot sooner after they left (so that most of their friends were still around such as Tasha, Flynn, Beth etc) and would have also brought back the Sutherlands to keep in line with continuity.

-Would have kept Ric and Matilda around for a little while longer.

I’m sure there’s more but that’s all I can think of for now.

Im glad Kim was such an ignorant pig because if he wasnt such a pig then there would be no Tachel right now :)

I agree with all of these. I loved Tam and she was fun. I guess Nicole replaced her. As for KK returning sooner, I would have loved to see their friends reactions when they returned if they had of returned sooner. All there was that new them was all the old characters and Ric and Mattie. And I think Ric and Mattie should have stayed. I loved them and they were Belle's last friends in the Bay. But it was Indiana's choice to leave so I guess there wasn't much they could have done.
