If you got to change anything in the history of Home and Away

Okay heres something I have thought should have been different: Pippa.

Pippa's role was probably the most important role on show and they had the perfect actress in Vanessa Downing. But they had to find two perfect actresses which was lucky they found Debra Lawrence and of couse she made role her own pretty much. But however Vanessa earned the role in 1988 and i think Vanessa did good enough job for it not to been recast. I know what some of you may be thinking would have not work.

But Debra Lawence deserved to have her own character instead of replacing Vanessa Downing who is perfect actress. Thats why both Pippas seem to have different personalities which is no way Vanessa or Debra fault. It was the writers as they felt the show whould not survive without Pippa. But they were wrong all they had to do was bring Debra in as new character and make the storyline the right storyline for it to work and here's what they could have done.

Sit back, read and relax on the storyline that would have made it work.

Here's how I think it would have worked.

2nd June 1990 at Fletcher House

Pippa's cooking dinner, there's a knock at the door

Pippa opens the door

Its a lady called Mary Keating (who played by Debra Lawence) It's Sally long lost mother who turns out to been alive.

Pippa says Hello how may i help you?

Lady says hi my name is Mary Keating I'm Sally's birth mother

Pippa says pardon why dont you come inside and tell me about it

Mary says on boat crash I lost my memory it's took many years to get back, I only got in back a month ago.

Pippa says how did you find out where Sally lives.

Mary says I checked the Family Services Department. I used to work there. I have lots in common with you Pippa i like fostering and helping kids too.

Pippa Oh good look you're more than welcome to stay here as long as you what.

Mary says Dont worry I won't take Sally away from you. I may move to Summer Bay if I have too.

Pippa says well Sally should been home soon I might go outside and tell her first before she see's you.

Mary says okay

Sally says hello Pippa. Pippa and Sally hug

Pippa I need to tell you something sit down sweetheart

Pippa tells Sally everything about her mother being alive.

Sally says she doesn't know how to feel and asks Pippa when she can meet her.

Pippa says she's waiting inside.

Sally runs in and gives her mum Mary a big hug. Both Mary and Sally cry in each other arms.

Then Mary moves in and helps Pippa with the kids and running of carvan park for two weeks.

Then on 16 July 1990

Pippa gets call form her mother's doctor saying her mum become ill

Pippa needs to make diffcult choice beetween looking after her kids or looking after her sick mum

Pippa says Mary I think if anyone would do as good job as i would of looking after the kids and running caravan park it's you. I would like to sell the house too and hand over looking after the kids

Mary says I would be able to handle it but only if you're sure about selling

Pippa says yes I am.

Mary says okay I promise Iwill look after the kids and anymore kids who need a home.

Pippa says Now I have got to do hardest thing break the news to Sally.

Pippa leaves bay.

Mary Keating Played by Debra Lawence takes over role at Summer bay house by looking after new foster kids and running the caravan park.

Thats what I think they should have of done. That way Vanessa could of made return vists. And also both actresses would have there own characters.

But I do wonder if they were two separate characters who would make more return vists?

But I think if it did happen Vanessa would have returned before Debra left in such events like Bobby and Greg's wedding and Bobby's death.

There is a couple of things that I would change in H&A's history .

I would have not had Chloe to return for Alf's 60th because it was actually a scandal that they had her back only to kill her off a small while later

I would have not had Ailsa die , because she was a great character , she and Leah and Irene could be running the pier diner right now which means Roman wouldnt have stayed in the bay and then Nicole wouldnt have came either.

I would'nt have changed Jack & Martha's relationship for the world.Even there break ups because its what has made them the people they were today.They've grown so much over the last year .The only thing I would have changed in their story , is Jack's extremely untimely death I could see J&M lasting forever and ever if he hadnt died

I would like to say that I wouldnt have had Flynn die but I do think his death was beautifuly written by the writers and have left us with memories of his and Sally's last moments.

My MAIN one is I would not have had Kit come back and screw up Rache and Kim!!

But then again I love Rachel and Tony....hhhhmmmmm. But I suppose not as much as Rachel and Kim.

^ When Flynn died I was gutted but like you said, it was a brilliant storyline.

The helicopter crash- now I'm not totally ruling out all that spiritual stuff but Amanda having a pain in her leg and then suddenly realising that ''They are all alive'' has got to be one of the most far fetched things in the history of tv. Not only that, but they somehow managed to run into the bush and find them after a qualified rescue team couldn't! I know H & A is famous for its far fetched storylines...but I MEAN REALLY! They could have done so much more with that storyline.

i was goint to say this too he is the worst character on the show i think!!

if Jack had to die, i would have given him a better death storyline.

i would have like Vinnie to turn up at Dan's funeral <- i just think that would have been a great storyline.

i would have like Martha to have run in and ruined Jack and Sam's funeral and after they got back together Sam killed herself to blame it on them.

i would have kept Roman and Martha's baby alive but have prefered it to be Jack's.

i would have kept Tasha and Robbie in the bay.

and im not sure what else yet.

I never would have let Sam die. If I were in charge she would have made Martha and Jack's lives as miserable as possible, maybe framing them for Johnny's murder. Then she would have gone on the run with Rory, or else be sent to the loony bin in a straight jacket while screaming and foaming at the mouth . Either would have been a wonderful end for her as a character, but I definitely wouldn't have let her die.

Rocco would have survived also. It still hurts me to this day that he was killed and had such a sad, pathetic end to his life. They could have done so much with him, and explored his background, and involved him in romantic storylines (perhaps with a guy ). We never really knew if Rocco was straight or gay. There was nothing to suggest either. He never hit on or got involved with any of the girls on the show at the time. He lived in the same house as both Cassie and Martha, and spent quite a bit of time with Mattie, but never seemed to notice them the way a straight guy would. Even Belle kind of hit on him once, but he took no notice of her.

I also would have kept Melody and Jazz on the show for as long as possible, and Xavier never would have shown his face around Summer Bay.

The Diner/Den would have stayed the way it was at first, because the new Diner is ugly as hell.

I'd love if Martha has caught an STD somewhere during the time she changed her boyfriend every few months in 2007. Not HIV, but something like herpes off Cam. Just to teach her a lesson.

The Sutherlands should have gotten a mention at least once in the past year seeing as Kirsty is back. They don't have to bring any of them back, but the least they can do is have Kirsty contact them and have her tell Irene how they are doing. I'm dying to know if Dani ended up with Stafford McRae!!!

I don't hate them because they came out on top, as you put it, I presume meaning that they ended up together. I think they deserved each other because they were equally horrible and kept hurting people, and they should have been together.

I hate them because of how badly they treated Sam, as well as how badly they treated Michael, Rory and Roman. I hate that Sam's death was futile. She didn't deserve it, she just should have been locked away in a psychiatric prison. I know she was a nutcase, but I still think she was a million times better than J&M.

-Would bring Drew back so Aden and drew could have a face off lol.

- That hit n run accident with Larry, Jai and Axel. I wish that never had. Yeah I hate Axel, but I dont want Larry to be in jail for that.

- Some more scenes showing Christine's slow change of attidue towards her parenting style

cant think of anything else, the major one for me is kristy and kane. Cant stand them
