Here's my list of top ten best dads on Home and Away.

1. Tom Fletcher - Caring, devoted male version of Pippa.

2. Tony Holden - Being single making sure that both Jack and Lucas got what they want in life.

3. Alf Stewart - He made mistakes but he also did his best to keep them on straight and narrow.

4. Michael Ross - Took over Tom's place and always argeed to take kids in.

5. Dan Baker - Very good dad who got Ryan to stop being spoilt brat and took care of Drew, VJ and Jules.

6. Jack Holden - Became good dad to Rory.

7. Flynn Saunders - Helped Sally take over role as foster parents

8. Joel Nash - Great dad all round.

9. Miles - Done great job with Jai and Oille and tried with Melody.

10. Roman Harris - Help bad kids Nicole and Aden turn into nice people.

1. Robbie Hunter - he loved Ella more than anything, even though she wasn't his biological daughter. He fought for her when Tash was thinking of abortion, and he got worried that he wouldn't feel like a real father, but when the baby came, he never took his eyes off her. Except for that brief kidnapping spell, but you can't fight a prophecy that's written in tattoo ink!

2. Flynn Saunders - Always there for Ric and Cassie. He protected Ric before they were even a family, and he never stopped looking out for him, even on his death bed :(

3. Kim Hyde - yes, that's a little bit of favouritism at work, but you have to admit, he did his best to be there for all of his illegitimate children. He even threw himself in front of a car when Hayley and Scott threatened to take Noah away, and then he had an overdose and almost died when they did take him away... that's some serious parental devotion right there :(

4. Roman Harris - Well, anyone who runs a deadly obstacle course created by a vengeful psycho, just to get their daughter back safely, deserves some credit, right? And the way he's taken Aden in is beautiful. I still don't think that Aden trusts Roman 100% as far as always being there for him goes, but I also think that Roman would surprise him. He loves that kid as much as he loves Nicole, it's obvious.

5. Barry Hyde - This one's a bit out of left field, considering that he and Kim came to blows more than once, but that's just because they had such a passionate relationship and Barry's stakes in it were so high that Kim couldn't have understood in a million years that his father had actually killed for him, twice. Yikes.

6. Tony Holden - Obviously he was much better with Jack than he was with Lucas, but that counts for something. Tony and Jack were so close - with kissing and hugging and drunken "I love you"s and all. In fact, I think Tony used to call his kids "Love," didn't he? It was also nice of him to take in Geoff for a while, in spite of how much it ticked off his actual teenage son...

7. Kane Phillips - Hello! He's Ollie's dad! Need I say more??

8. Peter Baker - I can't remember the specifics, but I have a very strong feeling that he and Drew had an intense bond, despite their many and varied differences.

9. Dan Baker - Dan might have come in before Peter, since I like him better, if it weren't for the fact that his gambling addiction got Ryan kidnapped, and he somehow managed to get VJ drunk... Not quite in the running for father of the year, there

10. Larry Jefferies - Yeah, I know, he shouldn't even make the list, but he did really love Aden... he was just such a weak coward that he couldn't do anything about it...

1. has to be Tony Holden (he is just the best single male parent going)

2. Flynn Saunders (took in Ric and Cassie, he was the best and closest thing to a dad they could of got)

3. Roman Harris (come on, after going Rambo for his daughter he should make the list at least)

4. Tom Fletcher (started the whole thing off, if it wasn't for him Sally never would of been able to do the same for Ric, Cassie etc)

5. Kane Phillips (even though he was on the run, he really loved his son)

6. Miles Copeland (considering what happened to his own family, he is pretty good at being a 'dad' to other kids)

7. Vinnie Patterson (i know he never really got a chance but i know he would of been amazing as a dad)

8. Dan Baker (was a great dad to Ryan and great father figure to VJ and Drew)

9. Michael Ross (Just like Tom he kept the tradition of fostering kids which is a great thing to do)

10. Kim Hyde (did his best for Archie)

In no particular order:

Tony Holden

Dan Baker

Kane Phillips

Kim Hyde

Jack Holden - I know he wasn't Rory's dad but he treated Rory like his son.

Flynn Saunders

Miles Copeland

Roman Harris

Robbie Hunter

I can't think of a 10th one.

Not really I mean ok he was bit short tempered with Roo but Roo was forever causing touble and the same with Duncan. If you look at Alf in any other way you know good he is.

He was always keeping a close eye on them and he would have been the sort of Dad you would feel safe around.

Nowadays hes always around for Jai and he's a devoted grandad to both Ric and Martha.

I'm not going to bother repeating what everyone else has said but I'd like to add one more -

Jesse! - He loved his daughter Rachel more than anything and raised her single-handedly after her mother went to prison and eventually died. Even though he eventually left her with Natalie and Joel to go on the run, he knew that was best for her.

While Rhys Sutherland wasn't the best father, he definitely was the most realistic. He reminded me of my own dad. All the others seem to be a bit too angelic.
