How do you think things whould have been if Ailsa was still alive?

I just like to put topic on Ailsa Stewart - matriarch of Home and Away from 1988-2000.

Of couse Irene taken over place perfectly but how do you think things would have been different on Home and Away if Ailsa had never died?

Duncan would still be in the Bay. Grown up with his own family. Alf proberbly wouldn't of brought Martha back from the states. Roo and Ailsa did not get on .Jack proberbly would of gotten together with Fitzy. Ric would not exciste. Alf wouldn't of had the affair that produced Rics father.

The Affair that Alf had tha produce Ric happened long before Ailsa was on the sceane but I think Duncan would have still left the bay but mre than likely to go and work in the city, Alf would have learnt about The Gov a she was csalled and found out about Ric, Ailsa would have welcomed him with Open arms, Martha would have want ed to see and meet her grand father its only natrual and roo would have let her come to the bay,Ailsa wasnt a nasty person, and she would have taken on the mother role when Martha got married the first time.

I think Duncan would have remained in the Bay for longer, but I still reckon he would be gone by now. Had Ailsa lived he probably would have stayed full-time until around the time Nick and Jade left, in 2003/2004. I think Seb never would have arrived as well, and Mitch may have stayed longer.

In which case the show may have been even more significantly different, given Cameron Welsh's subsequent positions.

I was watching an episode from 2000 other day and I saw Alisa, Leah and Colleen all working togeather in Diner It seemed nice to think they were still on show after nine years. I wish prouders had tried to convice Judy to stay, I mean the only reason why she left was because she wanted to work on her writing. What the producers should have done is let Judy film one day or two days a week and then allow her to have the rest of the days off so she could do her writing.

Yeah everything would be so much different.

If Alf didnt bring Martha to the bay then Jack would be still alive for starters because he only got in so deep with the developers because of the toxic waste causing Martha's cancer.Jack would be propably happily married with Sam!!

Of course like Janice said Ric would exist Ailsa isnt dead 20 years
