What's not to like?!?!?!?

Brilliant update!!!! I always love yours though!

The start was fantastic with Aden seeing signs of his breakdown and then it was so sad how he had so little clothes and they were dirty... :(

I loved how you got him talking to Belle, it felt really natural. And then you wrote the way Aden found out about Melody's attempted rape so well! The warning from Aden was amazing!

Can't wait for another update! Don't worry if you're busy, we all know how hectic life can get. But I do really love it and appreciate it when you update, cos you're an amazing writer!!! :D

Aw, Aden! :( But gotta like BadBoy Aden!

I hope things start to work out for him soon. It's good that he's made a friend [kinda] in Belle.

Cannot wait for more!

xoxo

Only just found this fic great writing, you write Aden beautifully and I love how cute the scenes between Aden and Belle are (and if i'm honest i'm not really a fan of them as a couple) but the way you write it they seem so cute. Looking forward to reading more soon :)

Chapter Eight

Mrs Fletcher, having turned the corner just in time to see Axel pushed up against the locker but before she had time to go forward and break up a would be fight, Aden let go of Axel and roughly pushed him away. Axel walked away and a low murmur of whispers had erupted throughout the corridor. No one cared that the school bell had rung and no one was even bothering to head to their next class.

“Everybody to class. Aden, my office. Now!” She yelled over the noise in her most threatening voice. The crowd slowly dispersed, Axel having disappeared around the corner before she could get his attention as well. Belle remained by Aden’s side, looking at him with slight anger in her eyes.

“Belle, you too” Mrs Fletcher said calmly. Throwing one more glance at Aden she headed off in the direction everyone else had previously gone and Sally indicated for Aden to follow, which he did – slowly. Sally reached her office door and held it out for Aden and indicated for him to take a seat.

Aden scolded himself inwardly for letting his emotions get control of him. He had learnt it’s better to control them in this screwed world and he was annoyed with himself for letting them get out of control. Two days in and the raw impact on his mind from finding out what Axel might have done took over and he couldn’t stop himself from slamming Axel’s body into the lockers.

He looked up to realise Mrs Fletcher was staring at him and had already said something to him. She sighed and repeated what she had just said.

“You’ve only been back two days and your already getting in a fight. What on earth was going on back there?”

Aden stared back at her, unsure what to say. He couldn’t tell her why he had nearly beaten up Axel. Thinking back, it was irrational and he didn’t even know they whole story. What if the rumour was just some sick joke from a kid at the school or someone misheard?

He wasn’t sure how much time passed before Mrs Fletcher sighed once more and sat back in her seat opening the folder Aden didn’t realize she had. A quick glance told him she was looking at his details.

“I still haven’t had any of your details from your previous school.” She stated glancing up at Aden who was sat completely tense in his seat. When he had enrolled back in the school he had no idea what to do about where he had been, just saying his old school should send over the details, hoping that they would just forget about it. He hadn’t went to school. He was in a different part of the country and no one had followed it up there. He also hadn’t updated any of the contact details because at the time he had no idea that his father had died or where he would be staying.

Mrs Fletcher glared at him, annoyed at his lack of cooperation. He hadn’t said one word since they had come into the office, not even to explain what was going on.

“Mr Jefferies.” She started, resorting to his surname. “I think I should call in your father, have a chat about things.” She reached out to the phone placed on the desk. Suddenly Aden’s body broke out of its frozen stature and reached out to grab her wrist before she could reach the phone.

Shocked, she pulled her hand back from the loose grip and looked up to see an emotion she had never seen from Aden – desperation.

“You can’t.” He stated.

“I can and I will.” Mrs Fletcher said in a firm tone.

“You don’t understand. You can’t” Aden said rather cryptically.

“What’s going on Aden?” She asked calmly as Aden slumped in his chair.

“He’s.... Aden paused wondering if he could just put it out so bluntly. “Dead”

A sharp tension filled the as Mrs Fletcher thought over what Aden had said. Wondering how on earth she didn’t know this. How was the school not informed and why hadn’t Aden told the school.

“I’m so sorry Aden.” She told him in her softest voice, momentarily forgetting why they were even sat in her office. She looked over Aden’s face but didn’t see any emotion anything like pain or sadness. A complete blank face stared back at her, Aden’s defences up. He nodded at her to acknowledge what she had said but gave of no more emotions filtering through into his face.

Mrs Fletcher pushed back more questions about what had happened today and decided to focus more about Aden’s situation.

“Do you have any other relatives to stay with?” She asked. He shook his head but didn’t give any else.

“Where are you staying?”

“The caravan park.” He told her. She paused the think about it. She had checked the books about payments and hadn’t even taken into account his name on the list. She considered that he was lying for a moment but looking at his face, blank as it may be, made her trust him.

She had the urge to make him find some friends to stay with, a more stable place to live but he was 17 and legally could make up his own decisions. He didn’t seem in the mood to answer any more questions, he was closed off.

“As there are no adults on the scene.” She started and tried to gauge his reaction. “Then we will need to talk about this our self and sort things out. For example about all of your previous school records. At the moment though you have lessons to go to. We will talk about this another time. As for fighting on school grounds, I do not tolerate it. I will see you in detention tomorrow lunch time.” She told him. He didn’t argue and accepted what she was saying.

“But if you do feel the need to talk about anything or need some help, you know where to find me.” She added on the end, not being able to fight against the side that was worried about him. She stood to indicate that their talk was over. He mumbled a goodbye as he walked out the door closing it behind him.

Firstly, I'm so glad that you updated! I love this fic, and the way you write it! :D

This chapter was fantastic! I loved Sally's reaction to finding out about Aden's father, and about staying at the caravan, esp how she knew he wasn't lying due to the look on his face.

Cannot wait for more! I hope you update soon. I want to know where things go from here, esp why Belle was angry with him.
