Even though she was not really Ric's guardian for most of the time, with him being over 18, I don't know, Sally just seemed to let them get into deep **** a lot of the time and then perhaps have to rescue them.

There's a scene at some point, I think it's in 2005 where Diana points out that under Irene's watchful eye, there's was four or five unwanted pregnancies and stuff like that.

I know they need to create drama, it being a drama, but I just feel that some of the characters that we proclaim in great parents seem to take their eye of the ball a bit.

I don't see Sally as the mother type either. I definitely cant compare her to Pippa, who I'd rate Number One.

Sally - her relationship with the kids, when compared to Pippa at least, was more of a big sister/guardian type than a real mother figure IMO. Although the characters often spoke of how close they all were with each other, the writers hardly every came up with the goods to prove that to us i.e practically all the mother/daughter family moments happened off screen'' - and when you've seen the previous H&A 'mothers' actually being strong mother figures to their kids onscreen such as Irene, Ailsa, Pippa..etc it takes the realism away..therefore I saw Sally's relationship with Cassie and Ric as more big sis - and in some ways I saw a similarity between her and Rebecca - although admittedly when we did get those nice glimpse' of the motherly moments they were a lot more sentimental.

I reckon if Belle was to become a mother she would be excellent. Have you seen her with Ollie. So cute. She would make a great mother one day.

Um...no, I haven't.When was that?(If it's in the last two weeks, that'd be why.)

I havent seen an Ollie and Belle scene evr.Well maybe she was in the same room with him at one point but she wasnt seen with him much at all

The only time I can think of Belle with Oli was when she took him for a bath after having his dinner one time when Kirsty returned with Irene from the police station after being quizzed about Kane’s illegal activities, shortly after he was arrested.

There was also one or two at the Diner with Ollie and Belle interacting

Except for Pippa, who is a clear #1 in my opinion, I'd say Beth or Irene.

My pick of mothers are:

1)Pippa. She would know how to sort Melody out.

2)Beth. Genuine and caring.

3)Jazz. Tries hard (JAZZ SHOULD BE WITH TONY)

4Irene. Good foster mother.

5)Sally. Will be as good as Pippa some day.

As for the rest? NO TO Amanda,Jossie,Leah
