I think Belle replaced Hayley to be honest. Rachel replaced Flynn. Hayley was so boring, kind of like a female version of Jack. She might have stayed around, but I don't think she would have contributed to the show greatly. She would have just had a lot of dull relationship storylines. I'm glad she left when she did, because in the year or so surrounding her departure most of the main characters in her generation left - Jesse, Dani, Brodie, Alex, Josh, Noah, Kane and Kirsty (I Know KK came back, as did Alex, but they left the first time then.) That whole group were cleared out to make way for the Martha/Jack/Cassie/Ric/Mattie etc, group.

Yes I think she would have. She had come to the end of her contract and she was probably wanting to focus on her future and start a family with Lleyton.
