BigBrother Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) They exclusively have a full 30 second version of the 2009 theme that would have been used as the opening if they hadn't cut it to 15 seconds. It hasn't been shown on TV. Back to the Bay has the 30 second version of the closing theme tune that is used in the UK and other international broadcasts. The main difference between the two 30 second versions is the instrumental arrangements. I have to admit, it's great. I've always said that the Robertson Brothers version was better than its successors but this more fuller version of the current theme tune is much better than the cut version. It's a shame it won't be used! Having said that, I wish they got Luke Dolahenty to re-record his vocals so that they're different to last years and they should have allowed the female vocalist to have a bigger role in the duet. I didnt know the 30 second theme was showing in the UK and other broadcasters are you sure ?? They show the same opening theme in Australia as in every other country!! Quote

Tthe opening theme is the same 15 second one that's shown in Australia but I was saying that SBJ has a 30 second opening theme tune that isn't heard anywhere and which is different to the 30 second theme tune heard over the closing credits heard in international broadcasts. I think they should show have longer closing titles on a Friday like Neighbours does. That way we could have a 90 second theme tune. Edited February 17, 2009 by BigBrother Quote

I absolutely agree, it is the best version of the theme since the 90's and i loved the robertson brothers, but this theme is perfect i think and i think its a real shame they aren't even using it all Edited February 22, 2009 by martha-jack Quote
